Comic Con Update

Hey folks,

I've been scouring the Internet for Comic Con stuff, and I've found some pretty cool stuff that I'd like to share with you all. I will be away next week, so I will schedule all the videos of the different Comic Con events to be published while I am away.

Comic-Con Update!

Well, we are in the middle of Comic Con 2010, and I'd thought I would share with you a few tidbits that have gone on. Longer Comic Con articles will be posted depending on when they become avaliable on YouTube.

First, I'm sure you've all heasrd the buzz on the new Haunted Mansion Movie. Guillermo del Toro announced plans to reboot The Haunted Mansion film, sans Eddie Murphy. This time, the movie will be much scary, and will not be a comedy. For more info, click here!

Fans were also treated to a teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I know I speak for many when I say welcome back, Capitain Jack!!

It's been a long time since Comic Con has been just for comic fans. Disney, Pixar, TV shows, movies, and other things use Comic Con to get their products out to the public. And it always proves to be fun!

V- At Comic Con

V is based on a mini-series that was on during the 80s. The world awakens to find spaceships hovering over all major cities. Though the aliens claim to come in peace, some do not believe them. Homeland Security agent Erica Evans discovers that the aliens have plans to infiltrate our governments and businesses in a plot to take over the planet. Erica joins the resistance movement, which includes Ryan, an alien who wants to save humanity. However, the aliens have recruited earth's youth, including Erica's son, to serve unknowingly as spies.



V will premiere midseason on ABC, although the exact date of the premiere has yet to be revealed.

However, for those of you wondering about Elizabeth Mitchell's role as Juliette on Lost: she will appear in the next season. Considering I don't like Juliette, that's bad for me. More on that tomorrow...

Lost Panel at Comic-Con 2009

The final season is just 5 months away, and I, ans well as many of you, I'm sure, are anxiously awaiting Lost's return it all it's glory. Well, before I post some Comic-Con info, I have something to show you.

ABC has revealed a new ARG, entitled "Lost University". First, you must sign up for email updates, Then, on September 22, enrollment begins, exactly 5 years after Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the Island. Finally, classes, such as "Heiroglyphics 101" and "The Physics of Time Travel", will begin on December 8, the same day Lost Season 5 comes out on DVD/Blu-ray. Now, for the videos. Please note that filming was not allowed during the special segments, but other people did film the Lost theme song contest winner as well as the Lost fan-made videos. Not to mention there are also some commercials made by the producers, seeming as though a reset is indeed possible.














Finally, at the end of the panel, this official poster was revealed for Season 6. It features everyone who has ever starred on Lost, regardless of whether they died. Also, Richard Alpert has been confirmed to be put on a starring basis, up from recurring, so he is featured in the poster.

FlashForward Comic-Con 2009

I'm very sorry, but I looked for hours and could not find anything about FlashForward. So insted, I'm going to give you the plot and trailer for the new show that I'm assuming ABC wants to fill people's Lost withdrawl once the show ends.

A mysterious global event causes everyone to simultaneously experience, for two minutes and seventeen seconds, his or her life six months in the future. When it is over, many are dead in accidents involving vehicles, aircraft, and any other device needing human control. Everyone who survived is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.

A Los Angeles FBI agent named Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) tries to figure out what exactly happened and why it happened. Along with his team, he creates a database of people's flash forwards from around the world called the Mosaic Collective (for which a website has been launched). Apart from the various catastrophic visions, people also see themselves relapsing into various former vices, such as Benford seeing himself drinking again, and his wife Olivia has a vision of herself with another man.

Here is the Disney Animation Pannel at Comic-Con. They talked about Toy Story 3, Princess and the Frog and the new Anime-type film Ponyo. Please note that many of the video presentations featured 3D images, so recording of this was not allowed. Plus, the videographer said they were not allowed to tape during the presentations. Public Service Announcement

Well, I've returned from my trip to Walt Disney World. For the next week, all regular posts will remain suspended during this week. Why? Because this week I will be posting some very special posts.

Throughout the week, I will be posting trip reports, as well as analyzing them. All Walt Disney World material should be done by Sunday. After that, during the next week, I will be posting Comic Con videos for my favorite movies and TV shows.
