General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week of June 15

*Editors Note: Well, it's a day late because a spent all day studying yesterday for my final regents exams. Today was my last day of school, so posts should be on time. Also, keep an eye out for a post announcing some big changes to my blog!

Last week, I spoke to soon: Luke is gone. Where? Why? With whom? This has me interested right now, i wonder if we'll get actual answers come September. Speaking of disappearing chearacters: where did Helena go again? And what was with the birth certificate? And what happened to Nikolas' citezcenship? What about... wait a minute. That's enough od the questions, this isn't Lost, you know!

Raise you're hand if you're lovin' GH right now? Well, okay, so the whole Micheal thing is a tragedy, not to mention annoying. And sometimes I wish that he would drop back into the backround so we can see some of the vets, like the Quatermaines or even Laura. But there's so much going on right now, and quite frankly, the interesting storylines outweigh the ones I don't like. So, today I'll do a segment I call "GH: Jeers and Cheers"

Jeers:
-Johnny and Olivia- it's disgusting! A woman and a man half her age sleeping together? Ewww, gross. What's going to happen when Dante finds out?
-The hit on Jason. Waste of time, Jason will never be killed!! EVER. Can't happen. Done.
-Kristina is annoying and bratty. She needs a good grounding. Perhaps we won't see her for awhile.
-Micheal is a rambunxious teen who doesn't listen. He goes barhopping and gets into brawls. And what happens when Sonny finds out a bartender gave his son a beer? Not good for the bartender. And on top of everything, the boy attacked Carly and had to be pinned down. That kid needs to go to Shadybrooke and fast! Or maybe to Robin's place, which brings us too...
Cheers:
-I like Robin again! She loves life and is not a whiny miserable wretch! She's devoted to her family, job, and the new murder mystery!
-The murder myster is exciting! We have all these new characters interacting to solve the Brianna Hughes mystery. Sam/Jackyl PI, Jason, Robin and Patrick, the PCPD, Maxie- everyone is working to solve this case! Could this be the downfall of the Port Charles mayor! And what does Mrs. Floydd want so bad? Very interesting character. I look forward to watching more...

A bright spot this week: Ric will be leaving Port Charles! A lot of people seem like they're going to miss him, but I won't. I've hated him, such dead weight, and way to creppy and wierd. Perhaps GH will finally be back on top soon! All we need is a great November sweeps. Anything is better then last years (or lack there of).

Let's hope this GH winning streak is here to stay!

General Hospital Weekly Roundup- Week of June 1st

Well, my laptop is BACK, so that means so are my updates! So, let's start with GH.

Now, two years ago was the last time I saw Kristina. Or was it last year? I'm not sure, but she got older and trampier in that period of time. She must have been taking estrogen or hanging around with her sister Sam to much because now she's hitting on Jason. What a slut. Especially because I, as well as a many other people, are rooting for a Jasam reuninion. But seriously, do the writers have teens of their own, because the teens in Port Charles are certainitly not normal. But then again, who is in this town of millionaires, horrible cops, and mobsters?

Micheal has made quite a miraculous recovery, what with the sneaking out of the hospital's "wonderful" security system and being able to get a cab all by himself with all the money he has.

And for those of you who did not know, that guy trying to stop him was Toussaint, who I welcome to GH with open arms. See, he was a great character on Nightshift, which we apparently woun't see anymore of, which is too bad because it was a really great show. They should just bring Dr. Julian, Claire, and thst gay guy (name escapes me) over to GH.

And as soon as the lovely Holly Sutton left town, Helena returned. Huzzah! And it was also revealed that Rebecca, who IS Emily's twin (who called it?) is not working for her, but rather Ethan. What do they have up their sleeves? I'm eager to find out!

On Friday, we were left hanging as Carly and Claudia were fighting and took a joint, poorly acted, fall down the hospital stairs. Will they both have miscarriages? It seems to be the only way miscarriages occur on soaps. I guess we'll see this week.

Now, the whole Lucky/Ethan fight is absurd. I can understand if you're angry at your dad for cheating on your mom, but the child in this is innocent. However, Lucky is being a bastard. Is he forgeting that he cheated on his wife with a younger woman for pills? When he curses Luke out, he better be doing it to himself, too. Hypocrite.

Now because I'm really enjoying GH right now, I have stayed clear of any spoilers. However, this is a huge casting rumor: Ted King, aka Lorenzo Alkazar, may be returning to GH. That would be quite interesting to watch: The Zaccarraha's, Corinthos, and Alkazars in the same territory. The mob wars will never end!

So, let's hope Carly's baby survives! I really want Jaz and Carly to be happy!

General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week of May 18

Yesterday was Memorial Day, so there was a repeat of General Hospital on. It was that faithful episode that left our beloved Micheal in a coma, only to come out of it an older, blonder, and bitter teen ager. So, I took yesterday off to write my column, but I'm back today!

Micheal is awake, but I want him to go in a coma again. I know, I've benn ruiting for him, but he's been a complete bastard to his mother. His language also leaves much to be desired. If I ever talked to my parents like that, I would be slapped back into a coma. How dare he, especially to Carly. Carly was the only person who had faith in him. But Micheal doesn't understand that. He's to busy worrying about driving and chatting with a "kid his own age" Lulu and playing Edward to care. Michael, please, grow up.

Now, the kid wants to live with his dad. Um, why? He's mad at Carly for having a baby that could kill her, but how will he feel when he learns that Sonny almost married Kate while he was in a coma, and he did marry Claudia and now is going to have a kid with her? Maybe he should move in with the Q's.

On the flip side, let's go to another kid. Ethan just learned Luke is NOT his father. Thank God it's not luke. Now, this is the first time I've ever met Holly (is that sad. Well, then again, she was on the soap before I was born), and right now, I'm not sure what I think of her. I hated her when she told Tracy she wanted look, but felt for her when she revealed the true paternity of Ethan. So I'll withold my judgement for a while. Then again, I'm not to found of Robert being the dad either. I loved Ana and Robert together. Speaking of which, will either one ever come back?

Grossest thing this weak: Johnny and Olivia sleeping together. Ew, just ew. She's old enough to be his mother, and they're rolling around. It makes me sick. Will Sonny tell Dante and will he come to rescue his mother? Will we finally see him? How old is he that he doesn;t need his mother with him? I mean, Olivia's been gone for 6 months. Is she missed at all?

In other news: Robin will return this week, perhaps on a broomstick. Let's see if going to rehab helped her. Who knows, maybe she's actually Helena in disguise!

GH is pretty good right now. Stil, let's hope next week is better.

General Hospital Weekly Roundup- Week of May 11

So let's recap: Last year, Michael was shot and put in a permanent coma. He's sent away to a clinic where he will be taken care of. Fast forward 1 year and he returns to General Hospital, albiet blonde and older. No he's going under some expiremental treatment to wake him up. And what happens: he begins to die. Only in a soap opera, huh? (Ok, so in retrospect, it's really comon. But still...)

Michael will not die. I don't mean to spoil this for anyone, but really, why recast a role when said character will only be asleep for the entire stint. From what I understand, he will eake up later this week. And let me tell you, he'll wake up to someone stupid: Lulu.

Now, I like Lulu, but please writers. Why couldn't he wake up to Carly. What a beautiful, emotional scene that would be. I usually don't cry at all when watching TV, but I might then. But why is it when Lulu's in the room?

Lulu has her own crap to worry about. Her roomate and her ex are fighting their feelings with each other. She might lose her job becuase someone is stealing from Crimson. Her dad is also trying to get her to be with Ethan, who was revealed was not Luke's child. Thank God, what an insult to Luke and Laura.

Meanwhile, Maxie has been trying to get stubborn Spinelli to talk to her again. I was so fed up with Spinelli, until Friday. Instead of trying to catch the culpirt (Judging by the shoes, I think it's either Helena or Kate. Teh question is: why??) they kissed. Get 'er done!

Also, I must point out how freshing this week was. There was no Robin! Like a breath of fresh air. GH can only improve, right!

Let's hope next week is better. Remember to pray for Michael!

General Hospital Weekly Roundup- Week of April 27

It's May, you know what that means- sweeps.

Quite possibly the biggest sweep of them all? Robin is finally getting help for her PPD, and what's better is that she is being sent AWAY! Finally, family and friends gathered together as an intervention to set Robin on the right track, and she's getting help as wee speak. She is supposedly going to be back in Mid May and the Scorpio-Drakes will be a big happy family. Yeah, we'll see about that. Just a quick fun fact: supposedly, the word "Post Partum Depression" has been said a total of 445 times since January 1st.

Meanwhile, General Hospital is busy providing mommy care for Carly and her child. Now, I am Pro-Life, but I also understand that if a mother is in jeopardy, she should have th option of terminating the pregnancy. Carly choose not to, so Jax and especially Sonny, leave her ALONE! She made her decision and it will not change. Everyone always talks about Carly being selfish, but she is doing the most self-less thing: risking her life for her child. Bravo, Carly, Bravo!

On the other side of the spectrum, Claudia is being selfish. And now, egotistical Ric thinks he could be the father, and will hold this over her head too just like the shooting. Although, I've gotten to the point where I don't blame her anymore for the shooting. How could Claudia have known Micheal was going to be there? Did she pull the trigger? No, Ian Devlin did. Kate is more to blame then Claudia.

Speaking of Kate, we are supposed to find out a deep dark secret about Kate. You know, I used to loke her, but after she broke up with Sonny, she became a whinny bitch who's alwayss PMSing. I can't wait for her to go.

Here's some people I haven't talked about much: Nikolas, Rebecca, Liz, and Lucky. First of, Liz and Lucky need to get back together. "Liason" was just horrible, absolutely horrible. A train wreck to Elizabeth's character. Now, I don't want Rebecca and Nikolas together just yet: only if Rebecca is really Emily.

Oh, and then there's Maxie and Spinelli. Hey, Spinelli, you're an idiot. I've thought you brought so much to the show. Maxie loves you, and you deserted her to go be a PI. Though he's on the "stalker" case (and wouldn't you know that a real thief came to hurt her, can we please get some new material?), when she finds out she faked it, he won't like it. If that's the case, then your loss, buddy.

To end things, let's take a moment to adress the whole Ethan thing. Some say he's just a con, others think he's someone's son. I hope it's not Luke, that would kill the Luke/Laura story. I hope it's not Robert, becuase he's only good with Anna Devane. Maybe a Quartermaine between Holly and AJ? That could be interesting, the show needs more Qs. Altough I'm not sure if this could happen, because I didn't watch the show way back then. Then again, I'm not sure if the writers did either.

Let's hope next week is better

General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week Of April 20

GH is now in HD! And what a difference it makes. Even for those of you who do not have a High Definition TV, you could see the difference. Now, it actually looks like it's sunny out, instead of the darkness that engulfed Port Charles for too long. Could this be a sign of happier things to come?

Well, it could, but it depends on what you see as "happy". Helena is gone again. That's sad to me because she brought so much to GH. But she came to PC for a painting, but it's more then that, as I and many others suspected. Inside the painting was a birth certificate- for what exactly? Does this go back to Nicholas being an illegal? Or maybe someone else? And how did it getr there? With these Lost-like questions, I doubt we've seen the last of her this year.

Now that Alexis planted the "Rebecca is hired by Helena" thing, we all know that's off the list of possibilities why Rebecca looks like Emily. And furthermore, so many people are writting into GH wanting Rebecca to really be Emily. Let's hope!

Now everyone has found out that Carly and Claudia (?) is pregnant. I know Carly is pregnant, and I want her to have this baby, even thought what happened last Fri. scared me. Claudia, howeverm is another story. No one else has seen her pregnancy test, so I'm not sure if this is a lie or what.

Another scary thing: We saw Micheal on Friday. But wait... how did Micheal's hair change colors? And he got older? Must be some powerful drugs he's taking. Anyway, when he wakes up, I hope he doesn't at least push Carly away. If he knows what she's been through the last year, he would know that she's been through hell and loves him dearly. If Micheal hates Carly, I'll kill him.

And ROBIN, YOU BITCH! It was an accident, but I'm blaming you for this sitch with pushing Emma down the stairs. You need help, accept it and move on. This is the final straw. If Robin doesn't get better, I'm done with her indefinately.

Let's hope things do get happier next week.

"The Story of the Oceanic Six"

We've heard it so many times, let's move on please. Last night's episode was a waste, we all know it. The only good thing was that they put the flashes in chronological order, which was nice. However, I'm hear today to talk about the remainder of the season.

Unfortunately, next week The Almighty Barack Obama will talk about his First 100 days as president. Excuse me sir, don't take this the wrong way, but screw you! What are you discussing, the fact that since you've become president, you're increasing the deficet, taxing me and my friends to death, as well as my future children, and that you're shutting down a Military prison where terrorists are being held because they may have done "torture" onto those poor souls who want us dead? Oh, will you spend 20 minutes talking about your dog?

Sorry to go all political on you, but honestly, this is a huge milestone for Lost. 100 Episodes! What's more important. Oh, and if you want to see torture, see what Sayid used to do to prisoners. Or watch one of your speeches, especially the way you bob your head up and down to get everyone seasick.

Ok, that's enough politics. In 2 weeks, we get a Richard Flashback!!! OMG! I really can't wait. He's either an Egyptian, or he's a very old Jack Sparrow who found the Fountain of Youth on the Island and crashed his boat there.

We will finally see Rose and Bernard in the finale. God, where the hell have they been? MEmbers of Dharma, presumably. Also, in the season finale, a beloved charcter will die. I've heard it will affect us much like the death of Charlie. This is going to be upsetting, especially if it is one of the Oceanic 6. But then again, if it's Julliete, that's all right with me!

So that's pretty mich it. I really hope that His Highness, Mr. Obama doesn't interrupt Lost. If he does, well... Does anyone know a way to contact Ben? I need to ask him a favor...

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of March 30

*Editor's Note: I've been good about it recently, but between the end of the quater at school, me working my ass off, and Spring Break just around the coner, I've been distracted. So, the GH column appears today and the DLR Update will appear tomorrow.

I begin this week's update with breaking news. I have just found out this info, so it's a good thing I did procrastinate. It was rumored for a long time that Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing)'s days on GH were numbered. Seeming as I don't like him, I thought this was good. But in light of the current sitch with Cluadia and Micheal, this may pose a threat to Cluaduia's life. But anyway it's now official: Ric is taken off. But it may not be so bad: he's now on as a recurring role. So is Megan Ward (Kate Howard).

So, with the current Claudia problem, she has decided to become pregnant to svae herself, even after Sonny said he didn't want another kid. Does she look like a good mother? This kid, if born, will need a whole lot of therapy.

And the Micheal scenes (or the hand scenes) were great. I really feel for everyone, I can't imagine what they're going through. When Micheal's hand moved, I gasped with Carly. I really can;t wait for him to wake up.If GH keeps this up, I predict that it will slowly get better.

Now let's go to a storyline that I haven't talked about much. The younger actors on GH are interacting which brings me bakc to the days with Dillon, Georgie, Sage, and the rest. Though I don't like Johnny and Maxie together, and this new Ethan guy (who may be Holly's son. I hear she's also returning to town. Hmmm...) really bugs me, I can't help but reminisce about the days when I first started watching GH.

So, in short, I'm getting this feeling that GH is moving toward something big. I don't know what it is, but I;m getting this feeling. Are we moving out of this bubble of despair and failure the writers have set? Let's hope next week is better.

"Whatever Happened, Happened"

What a suiting title for yet another great episode of Lost. The title relates to 2 things: we learned that nothing can change the future, and that all along these people were back in the 70s. I think. Wait... oh forget it, my head hurts.

Second, we learn about what happened with Kate. Did anyone else find that this was the saddest episode since the death of Charlie? Anyway, she met Sawyers daughter, and the kid's mom who we already know she knew. Kate then had an epiphany that SHE needed Aaron, and that Aaron did not need her, he needed is Grandma and his GRandma needed him. Is this making sense?

Back on the island, little Ben is alive, but barely. So, what do they do? Kate brings him to the Others, with Sawyers help. But Sawyer is doing this for Juiliette. Excuse me? How could you talk like that to the woman you use to sleep with? It's not even like you had a viscious brake-up. Maybe he suspects somehting went on between Jack and Kate off the island. Which brings me to this question: Could Kate be pregnant???

Anyways, Richard Alpert brought Ben into the temple, but we didn't see anything inside. Perhaps we will next week we will, considering it's pretty much a Ben-centric episode. It's like back in the old days. I think we'll also get to see what happened to Sun and Hurley, as well as Ben (maybe even Desmond?) in the coming weeks, which will probably bring us to the season finale.

And the best scene from the night: Old Ben waking up, and finding a very much alive Locke welcoming him to "the land of the living". I just wish that he could have shot Ben at that moment. But the first thing I learned about TV- never kill off the people you hate, the show may get bland without them.

3). Where the hell are Bernard, Rose, Vincent the dog, and all the other survivors, or are they dead?

General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week of March 23

I'd like to start this column in a different way (that means no complaining about the bia-tch we all know as Robin). I will speak about the rumors swirling around casting cuts. It's RUMORED that Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Weber), Rick Heart (Ric Lansing), Greg Vaughn (Lucky Spencer), Megan Ward (Kate Howard), and Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine) maybe getting pink slips. WTF???

GH has done a fine job of screwing up. We get new, crappy charcters (Kate, Olivia, and especially Winifred, just to name a few) while they kill off important charcters like Alan and Emily, and get rid of Laura, Anna, and Bobbie. It's a sad day in daytime, and if they go through with this, I fear for the rest of the show. The inevitable question is if GH will remain in a few years?

Now on to happier things... wait a tick, there are none. We have Ric who's blackmailing Claudia. Wait, actually, Ric can get fired. I'm sick of him already. Does it even bother him that she's married to his brother. Probably not, just look at all the other women he's screwed that had previous relations with Sonny. Not only is that terribly disgusting, but I'm sure that's not the healthiest choice either.

Now Claudia wants to kill Ric, but she's hit a small roadblock: if he dies, a DVD will be sent to Sonny. What's a woman to do: I'm hearing pregnacy is her only option. Not to mention that Jax is currently liying to Carly about this. I hope all this ends when Micheal wakes up in a few weeks. Yay!

Speaking of amrriage, it's back to Robin. This week, I actually thought she was going to get help for her PPD. HA! I was wrong. I'd really like to replace this storyline with an HIV angled storyline. You know, a mom living with HIV would be much better then this crap we get. It would also teach people, too.

Biggest story of the week: Rebecca has something on her breast. OMG! I don't mean to be rude or offensive to anyone out there who has breast cancer- it's a terrible disease and I don't wish it upon anyone. But this may be a huge step forward in revealing that Rebecca is actually Emily! Let's hope she is! GH would finally get something right. (Along with Helena's Return!!)

Let's hope next week is better.

General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week of March 16

GH is, unfortunately getting progessingly worse. The sweeps we had in Feb. were awesome, not the best, but awesome notheless. I thought GH was going to get out of it's little funk and be back in all the glory it had once been. I was mistaken.

Spinelli has brough so much to the show. Humor, quirkiness, and a super cool language. To much of a good thing can be bad though. Don't get me wrong, Spinelli is awesome, but it's all about him now. And Winnifred- please leave. Please? You are an immature little girl who needs to go through puberty already. Leave Spinelli and Maxie alone.

I won't go in much about Robin, the monster, due to my column last week being almost all about her. But let's just say she'll get her cumapance this week, and will hopefully finally accept she has PPD and get help. That's all I'll say. :)

Jax and Carly- YAY! These people are great together, truly. But this week, Jax will learn about Claudia's involvement with Micheal, and will keep it from Carly. I don;t see them lasting together much longer at this point.

Now, for a big story- I'm hearing rumors that Ms. Helena Cassidine is coming back to Port Charles! This is what I think should happen: Helena paid Diego (Text Message Killer) to straggle Emily till she was inconsious. Then, Helena came in through a Wyndemere passageway to kidnapp her and brianwash her. That's what I think is a cool storyline, but we'll probably get something crappy.

Let's hope next week is better.

General Hospital Weekly Roundup: Week of March 9

*Editor's Note: Lats week, my GH links unfortunately did not work. So, on Mondays, I will be doing the GH Roundup. This will push my Disneyland News and Info column to Tuesdays. Also, thanks to the people for the kind birthday wishes. :)


You can learn many things from TV. Why just the other day in health class, we were learning about Post Pardum Depression. I talked about what is happening to Robin. I was laughed at. For this is not PPD. Have any of you left your child for over an hour in a restaurant? It is a long, boring aggrivating storyline. A great couple turned bad, thank you Mr. Guza.

At least Carly and Jax are happy. That is for now. Carly and Jax have got to be my favorite couple. I used to like Sonny/Carly, but that ship has sailed. Rumors have it that the "Carjax" marriage could be sailing away again. Supposedly, Jax will find out about Claudia's secret and not tell Carly. Big mistake. Why is there such a high divorce rate in Port Charles?

One couple who seems happy is Sonny and Claudia. I mean sex twice in one week. Wow! Although I'm fairly certain Sonny is going to find out about Claudia's invlovement with Micheal's shooting in the next 2 weeks. But Ric and Jax will find out first. But she's not going anywhere. Why? Perhaps there's a child growing inside of her as I type this. Hmmmm...

Big, controversial news in GH land. Micheal is waking up in April, but he will look really different. That's becuase he is being played by Drew Garrett. I'm sorry, but Dylan Cash is the one and only Micheal. The 4 Carlys I can deal with (Tamara Braun and Laura Wright are the best) but there's only 1 Micheal Corinthos. Well, there;s actually 3, but you get my point, right?

Let's hope next week is better.
