I'm so excited. I've always enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean. And I'm looking forward to seeing the movie this weekend.

I'm very behind on my General Hospital.

The last two weeks have featured AP tests, which I have devoted my time around. And this weekend, I will be heading out to Walt Disney World.

So the GH recaps will have to be put on hold for a little while. But, they'll be back!

Tomorrow, I have a special column about the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of April 11

Brandon is dead. And that means we have another whodunit storyline. And even if I could picture Michael (dubbed Mykill be some fans) killing Brandon because he had to "protect" Abby. And this is what gets me angry folks. So prepare for a rant!

I was happy with the new Michael. I thought he learned his lesson after he left prison. But it turns out I was wrong. Michael has become infatuated with a stripper who is 10 years older that him. He feels like he needs to protect her, and Abby goes along with it. The bimbo even dropped the charges against her would-be rapist so Michael would be ok.

Naturally, Carly wanted Abby to keep her distance during the investigation, which has included suspicions towards Jason, Michael, and Johnny. But no matter what happens with Abby, Michael still is in trouble.

Earlier in the week, Michael approached Johnny about possibly killing Brandon. Sonny and Dante are both convinced that Johnny did kill Brandon, and Sonny is worried that because he will not have Michael in his organization, Johnny wants Michael to join his. Johnny denied the murder, and even went so far as to warn Michael about what the organization does to people. Though he basically recapped what everyone else has said, Johnny also offered a unique perspective as someone who grew up in the organization and was deeply affected by it. And although he said he would never offer him a job, Johnny said that he would never turn Michael down if he wanted one.

Unfortunately, this Michael drama has overshadowed the death of Jake. And although I would have liked the storyline to focus less on Jason, it has been pretty engaging so far. Luke trashed the Haunted Star and was about to burn it, but Lulu made him stop and took care of the situation. Everyone around Luke is trying to help him. I bet Luke will go to rehab over the summer instead of going on an adventure.

In other Jake-related news, Carly also approached Sam about having a baby with Jason to help him get over his guilt at not being there for his son. I can't really sympathize with Jason because he chose to give up his son, but whatever. The point is, Carly volunteered to be a surrogate. Sam, however, turned her down.

Weeks after the tragic event, Elizabeth has stumbled upon the letter she was about to read before Jake was hit. The letter has to do with Aiden's paternity. It turns out Lucky is the father (but we all knew that already). Maxie stumbled upon the letter, and hid it from Nikolas and Lucky. She later approached Elizabeth and gave the results to her. Is this the formation of an alliance, perchance?

Oh, and Brooke left this week. But in all honesty, who really cares? It will be Nikolas's departure that will have a huge effect.

Lisa has befriended Kristina over her college acceptance anxiety, with disastrous affects. She gave the girl an "herbal" remedy to reduce the stress, but the remedy was really a couple of narcotics.

Finally, Brenda has been bonding with Lucian. Sonny is obviously not too fond of the little guy, and he sure as hell doesn't trust Suzanne. However, after a conversation with Michael, she has learned what it is like to have a child in the world of the mob. So how will she react to this?

Have you bought your copy of The Secret Life of Damien Spinelli? I'm really looking forward to reading it...

Cancelled

My GH column will be up tomorrow, but there's something else I'd like to discuss. By now, I'm sure you all have heard the news...

ABC has canceled two out of its three daytime soaps. The cancelation of daytime staples One Life to Live and All My Children was announced late last week. This follows the announcement of the changeover of SOAPNet to Disney Junior early next year.

All My Children will end in the fall. One Life to Live will end in January of 2012, around the same time when SOAPNet will cease to exist. The shows will be replaced by "The Chew" and "The Revolution", crappy reality shows.

My heart goes out to the millions of fans who are losing these shows. No matter how much it may hurt to lose a primetime show, it is nothing compared to losing a daytime show. Soap operas air Mon-Fri all year round, whereas a primetime show will air one new episode each week for about 22 weeks. There is a big difference, as you can see.

Many GH fans are worried now. There are some who are aggrivated with head writer Robert Guza. And that is understandable. But we must not give up on our soap opera. Brian Fons, head of ABC Daytime, stated that GH will not be affected by this. But this is the same man who a short time ago stated that all of the ABC soaps were safe. Hopefully, people will turn to General Hospital after their soaps have ended for their daytime fix. Invite friends to watch, too.

In the meantime, I will be posting people to contact later this week to make your voices heard.

Let's hope the age of the soap opera is not about to end just yet...

On Stranger Tides

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated movies of the summer. Are you ready to join Captain Jack Sparrow and the rest on a voyage to the fountain of youth? Speaking of which, here are the main cast:

Also, here is the latest trailer that was released. It tells more of the story, and interestingly enough, The Black Pearl has been captured again.

Disneyland is also hosting a special preview of the movie on weekends, complete with Meet and Greets with the infamous Jack Sparrow.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides sets sail into theaters on May 20, 2011.

Could This Week be Any Worse?

It's been a pretty lousy week. The 8.9 earthquake has left who knows how many dead, and many more injured. The effects of the quake can be felt around the world. I'm praying for those affected by this terrible tragedy, and i hope you are, too. Please donate what you can to help those affected!

Meanwhile, closer to home, I lost my grandma this week. In light of this, I will be taking a little time off. I'll still try to to my Fringe coulumn for this week, however.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 28

Sam survived the explosion. But all was not well. For most of the week, Sam was deaf due to the bomb's blast. Molly decided to help her by teaching her sign language. Of course, Sam was able to speak with everyone, and could "hear" what they were saying. But that thought was very sweet.

Sometime last week, when Sam went to go stretch her legs, she fainted. This is always a sign that a woman is pregnant. Is that the case this time? I guess we'll see...

Jason was very, very concerned with Sam's well-being. He barely moved from the hospital during the time she was in the hospital. Nothing else mattered. If only Jason was like that when Sam's healthy. Who cares about Carly or Brenda?

Just when Michael starts becoming likable when Chad Duell takes over the role, the progress stops. It appears as though Michael once again wants to prove to his dad that he can "handle it", whatever the hell that means. NEWSFLASH Michael. You have a long life ahead with enough money to do whatever the hell you want. Do something productive. Get the hell out of the mob.

Anyway, so Michael was told by Molly who she thought the almost-killer of Shawn was, and he went after him. The guy pulled a gun on Michael, and Michael threatened him. Thank God Dante was able to intervene.

Dante took the guy into question him. And Sonny showed up. If you remember, Dante lost any like he had for the man when he found Sonny trying to torture Shawn. Throughout last week, Dante kept fighting with Sonny about how to go about finding Brenda- through the proper legal channels, or Sonny's way. But they found a way to compromise. Sonny paid the gunman's bail, and would take charge of him. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Dante and Sonny were not the only ones to disagree. Sonny came to The Metro Court to ask Carly for info any info that Theo might have left. But Jax refused to relinquish this info for Sonny, leaving Sonny angry. However, in a stunning move, Carly agreed with Jax. She later told him that she hoped her kids would turn out like Jax instead of Sonny.

Brenda is now in the clutches of Theo. However, that waiter guy appears to be on Brenda's side as well. He even wanted tried to give Sonny info on Brenda, but ran away because another one of the Balkan's men was watching him. Suzanne may also be on Brenda's side. Theo and Suzanne are currently second guessing each other. Theo believes that Suzanne knows more than she's telling. And Suzanne is starting to feel remorse, such as when she visited Sam.

Something tells me we will be discovering Aiden's real paternity soon. It will be a day of relief when the truth is finally revealed. I wonder if Helena will be back when this occurs?

Lastly, Franco called Jason again talking about his "very busy weekend". He also announced he will be back in Port Charles soon, and that he has a present. What could it be?

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 21

Only in a soap opera does a single day last an entire week. We were treated to a week long celebration of Sonny and Brenda's wedding, which in true GH fashion, had many twists and turns.

Carly, of course, was a bitch had hunted Brenda down to show her what she had found. But that didn't scare Brenda away. Brenda walked down the aisle to marry Sonny, but when it came time to "speak now or forever old your peace", Brenda objected. It thrilled Carly, and confused Sonny. Carly explained everything she thought she knew to the entire crowd. But she was wrong.

Even though, Sonny looked furious at Dante and Brenda. But Dante then stepped forward and told everyone the truth. And the truth, as I suspected, was about Alexander actually being the father of the child. Dante claimed to be the father to protect Brenda and the baby. And though Sonny was still mad at this revelation, he begged Brenda to marry him because he loved her so much. And she did.

And the wedding seemed to be going well. There was no sign of the Balkan. Jason and Sam were able to recruit Shawn on to their side. The Balkan had planned to meet with Shawn, and it looked like things were going right.

Michael kissed Abbey if you remember, but to be honest, I hate this relationship. I have no sympathy for Abbey's place she is in first of all, and second of all, all she does is whine. Plus the age thing is just weird for me. That's all I will say at this time.

But things took a turn for a worse. After a night of celebration, as Sonny was preparing to accompany Brenda in the limo, it exploded. And all hell broke lose.

Ethan swiftly took the kids home, who were very upset. To calm them down, they played some cards. But later that night, Kristina told Ethan that she still liked him and that she would wait for him until his marriage with Maya was over. Now where did this come from? (Off-topic, but did anyone see Haley Pullos, who plays Molly, on House? That girl was able to hold her own against Hugh Laurie. Kudos to her, she's a great actress!).

Jax's reaction may have been a little over the top (telling Sonny to kill himself), but the scene was intense. And now that Carly's plan seems to have stalled, maybe she will try to work on her marriage with Jax.

While the fallout was occurring, Jason and Shawn were attacked by gunmen. Shawn was shot, but Jason got away. He then went to comfort Sonny, which was touching.

The last thing to be revealed was that Sam was actually in the limo when it blew up. How did that happen? Was it the Balkan's fault? Or was it Franco, who called Jason and asked him if he "enjoyed the fireworks"? We don't know, because Franco had a big event to go to (Academy Awards, anyone?) (remember, he was also "between a rock and a hard place). Could the reference to Brenda Franco made before he left last July have anything to do with this?

It's been a great week on GH, and I suspect this will continue next week!

Fringe: "Subject 13"

I can never get tired of the 80s retro-themed Fringe intro. Or Walter's hair, either. Do you?

Several months after the events in the season 2 episode "Peter", Peter wanted to get back to his home at the bottom of the lake. Unfortunately for him, his real home is much farther in dimensional space than the lake. His home in in the alternate universe, where Walternate and Alt-Elizabeth are grief stricken.

Their marriage is falling apart. Walternate, who has built the "Star Wars" defense system has turned to drinking, and buries himself in his work at Bishop Dynamics.

But, back to our universe... Peter no longer trusts Walter or Elizabeth and continues to tell them that they are not his real parents. Both Walter and Elizabeth chalk this up to Peter's sickness, but it falls on deaf ears. Worried that Peter might try to kill himself, Elizabeth takes Peter to Jacksonville where Walter is doing the Cortexiphan trials on several kids, including Subject 13, aka Olivia Dunham.

Olivia, as she would explain to an adult Peter many years later, was abused as a child by her stepdad. As we saw last night, during times when she was scared, Olivia would be able to travel Over There for a few moments. After one trip, she drew a picture of a blimp that she saw Over There. (Also remember, that Olivia told Peter years later that she shot her stepfather when she was 9, though she didn't kill him. Shortly after that, the man left).

Walter realizes that Olivia can travel to The Other Side, and performs several tests to see exactly how she can travel to The Other Side. Because if she can, then Peter can go home. After several different tests, Walter concludes that fear is the reason she can travel. But when he tests this hypothesis, Olivia sets the room on fire. After this, Olivia runs away. Peter later goes after her, where the two meet in a field of white tulips. Peter convinces Olivia to return with him and face her fears.

They both return to the Day Care Center, where Olivia is notified that her stepdad is on his way over. Olivia is terrified, and begs to see Walter. She runs into his office, hands over her sketchbook, and tells Walter that her stepdad is hitting her. Upon telling him this, someone else comes in the room- Walter.

For a brief moment (which completely fooled me), Olivia traveled to The Other Side and told Walternate about everything that happened. She ends up telling Walter the same thing. Walter threatens Olivia's stepdad to not hurt her again.

Meanwhile, Peter approaches his "mother" and tells her he believes her and Walter. And even calls her Mom. Apparently, Olivia inspired Peter in the same fashion that he inspired Olivia. This huge secret causes Elizabeth to begin drinking, which will ultimately lead to her suicide years later over the guilt.

After looking through Olivia's sketchbook, Walter finds a drawing of Olivia and Peter. He calls up his wife, and tells her he has discovered what happened to Peter. The war between the Universes has begun.

Subject 13 was a really great episode. I'm curious how often we will be getting these type of episodes. After all, we are left with some questions. Why can't Peter and Olivia remember the stuff when they were young? And the longer we go without seeing Nina Sharp in the Alternate Universe, the more important I think she is.

Unfortunately, Fringe is not on next week. But we'll see a new episode in two weeks. Until then, this week's glyphs translate to:

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 14

Do you want to know something odd? I was watching The X-Files on BBC America the other day, and I saw a pretty long ad for Sonny and Brenda's wedding. I've never seen a GH ad on another channel before, so I'm wondering if this was a special occasion to mark Sonny and Brenda's wedding after all these years.

Naturally, I have to open this week's column with the brand new revelation- Theo "The Balkan" Hoffman is married to Suzanne Stanwyk. And their son in Alexander. Though some might have suspected it, this caught me completely off-guard. Suzanne always seemed like she truly liked Brenda and that a friendship is there. So it really surprised me when it was revealed she was plotting to make Brenda pay.

Although I wasn't really surprised when it was revealed that Suzanne was trying to sabotage the wedding. But she apologized and Brenda forgave her. The way the interact, and Suzanne's reaction to Theo's wine toast before the wedding make me believe that Suzanne will try to help Brenda. Maybe it's just that Suzanne doesn't seem like a villain to me.

Carly, on the other hand, is bent on stopping this wedding. She really needs to just knock it off. Sonny took the precautions to stop Carly at any cost. And that includes having Max and Milo look after her. I love Max and Milo, but they seriously are inept. Sonny should have known that. Carly was easily able to get past the guards and run to the church where the wedding is being held up. We last saw her threatening to reveal Brenda's secret to everyone. If I were to bet, my guess is that Brenda has already told Sonny the truth about what happened in 2007. And only Sonny knows.

Meanwhile the wedding the being held up due to Jason's absence. Spinelli found out through DNA evidence that Theo is The Balkan. He was able to piece all the other occurrences together, and Sam, Jason, and Spinelli went to go contact Theo at his office. But when they got there, they found Molly. Molly had just overheard Theo say that he is the Balkan. As Molly and Spinelli went to the chapel, Sam and Jason were off to the Metro Court to take care of Theo.

Shawn is also crashing the wedding. He has his orders to kidnap Brenda, but thus far has been unable to do his job. He should have asked Carly for help. I'm sure Carly would be very happy to do anything to stop this wedding.

After several weeks, Lucky and Siobhan were finally able to find Megan and are about to rescue her. Of course, there's some gunfire right now, but what rescue doesn't involve a little gunfire?

The wedding is just about to get really good. The previews are promising. Will Sonny and Brenda really marry? Will Brenda be kidnapped? Will the truth be revealed to everyone? Will Jason walk Brenda down the aisle?

In other news, supposedly Rebbecca Hearst will not be leaving GH! And thank God! I'll continue to track these rumors and be back soon!

Fringe: "6B"

I feel bad that I have not been doing my Fringe columns. Especially because Fringe is my favorite show that is currently on TV. And the possibility that this could be Fringe's last season. Of course, I don't want to believe that. So let's just hope that viewership goes up.

I've heard this episode being compared to The Twilight Zone, which I think is justified. Now, I wasn't alive when t\The Twilight Zone was on, but I have seen repeats of it. And though I can usually guess how each episode will end, I was unable to guess how "6B" would end.

The episode started like the usual Monster of the Week storyline, but with several twists. Two people arrive at a party and then the woman begins to choke. At first, I thought this must have something to do with the case. But then screams were heard from the balcony. And then people began to fall one after another. ("Like a flash mob... but suicide" as Walter would say). But what was doing this?

The entire episode was really about love. It was revealed that many people believed the apartment complex was haunted. However, Walter didn't believe in ghosts. He hypothesized that in actuality, the universes were going to collide again, this time resulting in a black hole vortex similar to Madison Square Garden and other locations on The Other Side. This theory was confirmed when Olivia saw the widow's husband, but Peter could not.

But why could the widow see The Other Side? Olivia and Peter believed that the widow's deep love for her husband who died in a freak accident was the reason she could see him. And the widower on The Other Side could see the widow on Our Side because of his deep love for his wife who died in the same freak accident on The Other Side. (Sorry if that sentence was confusing!).

As Peter and Olivia tried to save the apartment building from being destroyed, Walter recalled one of their earliest cases together. Remember the bus with the people on it who were trapped in amber? Walter wanted to do what Walternet did on The Other Side- stop the vortex by encasing the complex in amber. They were able to construct the amber, and were fully prepared to use it.

But Peter and Olivia convinced the widow that the person she was seeing was not her husband. Though she didn't believe it at first, the widower's statement that "The girls miss you" convinced her that the man she was seeing was truly not her husband. And with that, she was able to let go, and balance to the universes was restored.

We then flashed over to The Other Side and saw the case from their Point of View. Fauxlivia and Lincoln were investigating the possibilities of a vortex forming in the same location. But upon arrival, they found nothing wrong. When they questioned the widower, he said nothing was wrong. After Fauxlivia and Lincoln left, the widower was seen looking at his photo album full of memories. The widow was doing the same thing.

The events that occurred in this week's case directly impacted Peter and Olivia's relationship. Walter failed trying to bring them together over pancakes, but Peter's statement to the widow about her love for her husband proved something to Olivia. Olivia was finally able to let go of whatever she was feeling towards Peter and Fauxlivia's relationship and want to be with Peter. The show ended with them traveling to Peter's bedroom to make love. The only bad thing was we weren't able to see it. (Perverted? Maybe. But after all that sexual tension, it would finally bring resolution to their relationship).

Meanwhile, Walter is grappling with what separates him from Walternet. We already learned there are somethings Walternet cannot do (harm children). Do the two share more than just looks? Perhaps we will find out next week, which appears to be a flashback that takes place after Peter was taken from The Other Side.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 7

Who destroyed Brenda's dress? At first, I thought it was Carly. After listening to Robin and Brenda talk badly about her, I assumed she destroyed the dress out of anger. And sure a hell, I wasn't the only person who believed this. Robin and Brenda think ti was Carly, as does Sonny. So what does this mean? It means Carly isn't the culprit. I'm sure she think of something to try to stop the wedding. Like Brenda's baby secret.

Oh yeah, I thought Brenda was going to tell Sonny about that? Well honey, the clock sure is ticking. I'm still betting the baby isn't Dante's.

Before Mac and Alexis shared a sweet Valentines Day dinner, Theo "The Balkan" Hoffman bullied her. Why doesn't Alexis fire his ass? I hope she's at least a little suspicious of the Balkan. He does like to bully a lot of people. You can add Dante and Brenda to that list. Oh, by the way, If I hear "wrongful death suit" once more, I'll crack. Maybe I should start a drinking game?

Theo tried to "help" Siobhan when Lucky fake arrested her. He must know by now that Siobhan and Lucky are not in Port Charles right now. I wonder what will happen then?

And please, just get Mac and Alexis together. For over a year now, they've been being set up together. Make it official already!

Also getting together on Thursday are Dante and Lulu. They're headed to the Opera, like old times. Yuck. But anyway, Lulu also knows about Michael. And when Dante told her he might quit the force after a doubt in his beliefs, Lulu and Michael convinced him to stay on the force. If GH needs anything, it's more likable cops like Dante. And less of people like Ronnie. Yuck again.

Is Sam pregnant? That's a question that is on everyones mind, especially mine. This is because when Sam was pregnant with Sonny's kid that she lost, I first started watching the show. I'm rooting for Sam, and I hope you are, too!

I'm so sick of Terrel. He's annoying and quite an imbecile. So I won't talk about him.

On Friday, GH played Patrick and Robin's wedding that occurred several years ago. And to be honest, I did not like it. I do like watching the occasional classic episodes. Episodes that are really engaging and worth a second look. Sweeps episodes, for example. Or a classic episode that I have never seen before.

Folks, we have a wedding on Friday. Will it happen? Will Sonny and Brenda finally be married after almost 17 years? Stay tuned...

Happy 10th Birthday, Disney's California Adventure

10 Years ago, DCA opened with not so much pomp and circumstance.

But if you fast forward to today, much has changed. I really don't need to go into what was wrong with DCA. But most of the things that were wrong are gone.

Think about it. DCA is truly on its way to becoming a great park. It's already become a full day park, with World of Color keeping guests inside late at night to witness the great show and see the park when it truly shines (pun intended).

Here is a pretty cool history of DCA. Take a look a see what's different, and what's to come.

There's still more to do, but I am now eagerly awaiting visiting DCA this summer. Are you?

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of January 31

The revelation finally came. Micheal admitted to Jason he was raped during some pretty compelling scenes. Of course, this revelation came after he witnessed Abbey being beat and almost raped. After experiencing some apprehension, Michael sprang into action to save Abbey, hurting her would be rapist in the process.

Dante was smart, and reported the crime, which will result in a court case for the stalker guy.

Slowly, others began to find out about what happened to him. Carly was first. Dante was next. And now Sonny knows, which Micheal doesn't seem to happy about. But when Carly found out, she ripped Dante apart. Carly, I hate to break it to you, but you also had a hand in sending Michael to prison, an even bigger hand than Dante. But will she ever admit that? No. Instead, she'll blame Dante over and over again.

Carly also has problems of her own. She once again wants a divorce from Jax. Jax never told her that his business trip to London involved searching for information about Jerry and Brenda. When Brenda spilled to Carly, she was furious. But what the hell is she going to do if she divorces Jax? Sonny doesn't want her because he finally has Brenda. Who else is left for her?

Brenda revealed what happened to her baby. She was pregnant, but had a miscarriage. I'm still betting that the baby is not Dante's. But I guess we'll see...

What's with this Shawn guy? He first helps Molly with PTSD, and then he's revealed to be a mercenary for the Balkan. He has thrown Johnny around and has also attacked Lucky and Siobhan. Perhaps he is being set up for redemption?

Also new to GH is this Terrel guy, an old flame of Lisa's who is going to seduce Robin to sleep with Lisa again. How fake is he? Who can't see that he is THROWING himself at Robin? It's pretty sick. I just hopes that Robin and Patrick will be able to fight Lisa's small, but growing army of fools.

Finally, why the hell has GH fired Liz? She is such a great actress, and has a long history with the show. She has the potential for a great storyline, yet she is still being fired. And what about the whole Aiden storyline? What about the other kids? What about Lucky?

Kill Lisa off. Kill Terrell off, while you're at it. You can get rid of all the Balkan people, in fact. Get rid of Abbey (her constant whining annoys me). Less Michael and Kristina are always a good option (even though Chad Duell has redeemed Michael in my eyes). But please, keep Elizabeth.

New Paradise Pier Posters

Hey y'all,

It's been a while since a Disney related post. But I thought this was cool...

For a while, I've been saying that Disney needs to make some DCA posters. Instead, we got some new Disneyland posters, which while really cool and appreciated, is not what I really wanted to see.

But now, Disney has released these posters. Which are really sweet!

The posters don't stop here. There are also World of Color, Tower of Terror, and other posters in the works. Where will these reside? Hopefully, across Paradise Pier. As for now, they'll be in the new Blue Sky Cellar Exhibit that opens on Firday.

The new Exhibit will feature new stuff about The Little Mermaid, some more of Carsland, and some info about the new Disney Junior show that is replacing Playhouse Disney. There are even going to be some sneak peeks about Phase II in Hollywoodland.

I'll cover the new Blue Sky Cellar when it opens. Until then, I guess we'll continue watching what's happening right now instead of what is to come.

10). The Hub

Though most of it is the same, Discovery Kids quietly became The Hub in the Fall of 2010. So why is this good? If you like older shows, like Happy Days, Family Ties, Batman and more, then you're in luck. I DVR Happy Days each night, and enjoy it!

9). Family Guy "And Then There Were Fewer"

Though the most recent season of Family Guy has been pretty lackluster (let's stop focusing on only Brian and Stewie), the season opener was anything but. Funny and mysterious, "And Then There Were Fewer" is, in my opinion, the best Family Guy episode yet.

8). Tangled

Though it probably won't win any awards (that will be Toy Story 3), Tangled was an ingenious movie that was funny and touching. And it's doing something Princess and the Frog didn't: it's making money.

7). Jimmy Kimmel

In a year when most people were Team Coco, I was not. Overrated and not that funny, I was saddened to see most people ignore Jimmy Kimmel. He is the funniest of all the late night talk show hosts. Watch him, and you won't be disappointed. Not to mention, he hosted a great "Aloha to Lost" special.

6). Betty White

Whether she's hosting the best SNL in recent memory or staring in her own

5). Modern Family

By far the funniest show on TV, Modern Family is the rare show where I really can't choose a favorite character. I love each one. Even the kids.

4). Fringe Seasons 2 and 3

Fringe was a pretty cool show up until the end of Season 2, when it became incredible. It has became my favorite show on TV right now. It's just awesome.

3). Toy Story 3

I was very young when the first movie came out. Now, just like Andy, I'm off to college. This movie was not just funny, fun, and enjoyable. It tackled themes that only a Pixar film could do. And I cried a little at the end, like 90% of the people who saw it.

2). World of Color

Nothing about this show disappointed me. I loved the entire thing. It was emotional, as well as a technological wonder. I only saw it live twice, and have watched it numerous times on video, but I still love it. I look forward to seeing it again on my next trip!

1). The Lost Finale

A roller coaster. Emotional. Heart wrenching. Mysterious. Surprising. Fun. I could go on and on to describe the greatest show ever to grace TV, but that may become tedious. Instead, we'll end 2010 with the clip that made me and many of you, cry your eyes out.

Disneyland: 2010

Disneyland has changed a lot since this time last year! Disneyland saw many refurbishments to rides that surely needed them while it quietly celebrated its 55 Anniversary. The park looks better than ever! Disney's California Adevnture saw a huge increase in the amount of construction work, with the debut of World of Color, the retheme of several attractions, and groundbreaking for The Little Mermaid and Carsland. Please note that some of these are my own pictures, while some belong to dlfreak over at MouseInfo.com. He always has the best pictures, so I encourage you to check them out!
We have a lot to look back on, so let's go!

Disneyland

Star Tours closed earlier this year in preparation for Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, which opens May 2011.

Remember Honey I Shrunk the Audience? Well, that aging ride was put out to pasture for good to make way for Captian EO: Tribute.

The Disney Gallery, which had been MIA since The Dream Suite was created, was finally brought back to a really nice location in the Main Street Bank. The Disney Gallery is now connected to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which opened last year.

And let's not forget the 4 month long refurbishment for the Rivers of America. All the boats and Fantasmic! went down while new additions were made to the Rivers. New effects were also seen in Fantasmic!

Disney's California Adventure
I thought there were a lot of walls at DCA in the beginning of the year! But now, there are many, many more! One thing that has slipped many people's minds (including mine!) are the new additions to Grizzly River Run. Slowly, the white water raft ride is being transformed into a 50's era National Park. Unfortunately, I have no pictures. But rest assured, by the time Golden State is ready to be tackled in Phase 2, all of the extreme sports references to the mountain will be gone.

Through various stages, the Red Car tracks in Hollywood Pictures Backlot were completed. The land was also announced to become Hollywoodland in the future. To combat the closure of the main entrance, temporary one was built between a bug's land and Tower of Terror. This became permanent in August.

The former ampitheater was demolished and made way for a beautiful viewing terrace dubbed Paradise Park.

The Little Mermaid construction has also increased. The ride opens May 2011.

Silly Symphony Swings also opened this year, surprising many people with its rich details and beautiful surroundings.

Across the way, Burger Invasion and Pizza Oom Mow Mow closed to become Paradise Gardens eaterie..

Maliboomer finally disappeared, which shocked many fans because it happened so quickly. Still, it is nice to see it gone! A park is supposed to open in its place, featuring a meet and greet.

Mulholland Madness also closed, to be turned into Goofy's Sky School next year.

Carsland rockwork has dominated the DCA skyline, with topping off occuring in October. The Bountiful Valley Farm closed to make way for more Carsland space.

To add to World of Color, Glow Fest was a popular, albeit tacky, Dance Party. ElecTRONica premiered in the fall, which was much nicer and even more popular

Meanwhile, the big event this year at DCA was its new nighttime show. World of Color premiered to the park guests in June. It has been well recieved, and later, Troncore was added after the show, which has been recieved well, too.

In the front of the Park, walls have gone up around sunshine plaza. It will be a mess next year as stores close and walls fill the land. The new turnstiles should be open by August, though the letters are slated to be removed in January. But come may, there will be

a lot less walls throughout the park!

Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is finally getting a decent theme to a retro Disneyland. The towers are being transformed, and the rooms are beautiful. The pool area is also seeing a major makeover. The entire thing will be finished by 2012. Perhaps then something will be done about Paradise Pier?

It's been a fun and exciting year at Disneyland Resort. Things will be even better next year, with new rides and the fastly approaching opening of Carsland. Stay tuned!

GH Weekly Roundup: 2010 Edition, Part II

As we go into the second half of the year, we can still feel the reprucusiions of Micheal's jailtime frequently. But Micheal begins to feel that he owes Dante, and they begin to bond like brothers. Micheal meets a girl named Abby through Sam, who was introduced to have sex with Michael. They never did, but they soon became close friends. No one approves of this relationship, but they do seem to like each other.

Also affecting many characters was Kristina's disdain for her father. To get back at him, Kristina pretended to date Johnny. Though he didn't want to at first, Johnny went along with Kristina's plan as a way to get back at Sonny for how he treated Claudia. He did eventually decide this was a bad idea, and convinced Kristina to stop. But Sonny had planted a bomb in Johnny's car, and as he raced to stop the bomb from detonating, Kristina and Johnny witnessed the explosion. Though no one was hurt, Kristina was still angry.

When Franco returned, so did his mother. Franco was planning a big exhibit in California, which Jason and Dante crashed. A chase led to the supposed death of Franco, but this death was fake. For Franco's plan was going smoothly in Port Charles.

Franco had kidnapped Liz's baby and the hospital was put in lockdown as they searched. Meanwhile, an insane Warren Bauer opened fire on people in the hospital, injuring Ethan and Mac. He came after Kristina, but Mac was able to kill him in time. When the baby couldn't be found, they oepned the hospital up and Lucky went to search for the baby.

The search took him to Oregon, where Franco had given Aiden to his mother. After some convincing, she gave him Aiden back. It was very touching watching Lucky with his son. If only he knew the truth...

After being thrown out, Luke bunked with Lucky for a while before he left town. Lucky was soon caught up in an FBI investigation where he posed as Ronan O'Riely and went to Ireland. It was revealed that Ronan was working for a mysterious a crime figure who has a connection to Brenda Barret. Towards the end of September, Lucky was surprised to catch up with Luke who encouraged him to start a relationship with Siobhan, who he met and became friends with in Ireland. When they all returned to Port Charles, Lucky and Siobhan were kind of an item.

Carly had hired Brooke Lyn to sleep with Dante to break up Dante and Lulu, but this failed. Brooke had drugged Dante, and Lulu found out. Dante and Lulu washed their hands of Brooke and are happier then ever. Brook became employed by Nikolas as an escort pretty much, which angered Liz when she returned from her maternity leave. Carly needed another plan to make Dante and Lulu pay, so she started digging around.

Starting early in the summer, Lisa's insanity began to show itself. Before Patrick told Robin about the one night stand while she was away, Lisa took joy in taunting Robin. And when the truth came out, Lisa still toyed with Robin. She wanted Patrick for herself. Things included scratching out Robin's pictures and boiling Emma's stuffed toy. She even stole Robin's HIV meds and threw herself in front of Robin's car to make Robin look guitly. And it worked. Still, Patrick stod by Robin.

One day, Lisa drugged Robin and took her into the woods, where she fell down into a well. Robin was visited by Stone, who helped her get through this. Patrick came and rescued her, but Lisa pulled a gun on Patrick and Robin. She then turned the gun on herself, though Patrick rescued her. Lisa was sent to Shadybrook, but was released a few weeks later. To this day, Lisa enjoys tormenting Robin. Recently, she has tried to drug Robin, but was caught. She gave the syringe to Johnny Zacarrah, who is blackmailing her with the syringe to help him.

Once a villian to Sonny, now Claire was quite the bedmate. Originally, she wanted Sonny to be the father of her child, and to get him to trust her in order to send him to prison, but the fling became real. Sonny wanted to be able to get Claire into a position of conflict so she couldn't bring him to prison. But he fell for her. She couldn't prosecute Sonny after Sonny was provoked by Johnny to shoot him, even though Sonny looked guilty. This was because Ronnie hid Johnny's gun. Though these charges were eventually dropped, and a peace treaty was made between Johnny and Sonny, once again Sonny was arrested for the car bombing. When the evidence that could put him away was discovered to be illegally obtained, Claire was reprimanded for pointing this out. Claire put everything on the line for Sonny. Unfortunately for her, Sonny began having dreams of Brenda Barret. And she was about to make another big impact in his life.

Brenda Barret became a model and a spokesperson for ASEC, a charitable organization. Unfortunately for her, a crime figure named the Balkan was after her. So someone from ASEC decided to give Jason a call to come and protect her. He eventually brought her back to Port Charles, where she ran into her old friends and foes. It was also at this time that the truth about Brenda's past was revealed. In 2007, Brenda dated The Balkan's son. When she found out about his ties to organized crime, she dumped him, prompting Alexander to stalk her. Three cops were on Brenda's security detail, one of them being Dante. They became close. One night, while out for a walk, Alexander attacked Dante. Brenda shot him to save Dante, but there was a coverup. And the Balkan wanted revenge.

Back in PC, Brenda was very hesitant to go be with Sonny again. However, they both gave in to temptation and decided to give it another go, nd are currently engaged (again!). Meanwhile, the Balkan sent some of his men to kidnap Brenda, but this resulted in Brenda killing another man. The family of the murdered man has filed a lawsuit against Brenda. The Balkan also has Siobhan on his payroll, as well as Jerry Jax. However, Jerry Jax was killed when he refused to listen to the Balkan.

After many months, The Balkan's identity was finally revealed. It just so happens that the Balkan is Theo Hoffman, a man who currently wants to sue the hospital for bad treatment. Theo was also brought on to help Diane with Brenda's pending lawsuit, though Theo has his own plans.

Carly's digging revealed some startling info about Brenda and Dante. She suspects that Dante and Brenda might have a child. Indeed, they do talk about "the baby" sometimes. But do they really have a kid?

To end things on a happier note, Luke and Tracy were married. Of course, there had to be terms. Luke had to be sober, not run away, and sign a prenup. Though he didn't sign the prenup, Tracy took him to the alter anyway. Luke and Tracy are happy now, and are probably the happiest characters on GH.

It has been quite a year, folks. I hope you have enjoyed my brief review of all the events that have happened on the show, and I hope you'll continue to come here for everything GH!

So what will happen between Robin and Patrick? Will Sonny and Brenda be married? Will Lisa be caught? Will Kate Howard be on more (please!)? Where is the Balkan storyline going? What about that bush crash we keep seeing on the previews? Will Olivia and Steve hook up? Do Brenda and Dante actually have a baby? And will Mac and Alexis finally date? Will we ever have a sweeps a kin to the Hostage Crisis or Black and White Ball again?

I guess will find out in 2011!

GH Weekly Roundup: 2010 Edition Part I

It seems like 2010 has flown by, but when I think about what has happened on GH this year, it feels like so long ago. And to think it was in January when we got a new opening credits that replaced the old aging one...

We had quite a few additions to the cast this year. Elizabeth's brother, Steve, became the Chief of Staff at Gh after Monica offered him the job. Though he himself has not had much of a storyline, he has been a guider to almost everyone on staff. Lisa was introduced as Patirck's ex from college who joined the GH staff. Although she is a good doctor, she is a horrible person. From the beginning, she was out to get Patrick. When the two got drunk and had sex, she became crazy for Patrick. IMO, she was a terrible addition to the cast.

But would you agree that Maya Ward has made a terrific addition to the cast? After Edward invited her to live with them, rumors flew that she would be in a relationship with Micheal. But that never happened. Instead, she had quite the relationship with Ethan, which I'll cover later...

We came into this year with me hating the new Michael. He was a punk and a brat and got away with things because he was in a coma for a year. And in November 2009, he killed Claudia Zaccarah. There was a coverup, and only a select few knew what happened to Claudia.

Unbeknowst to most, Franco, the serial killer/artist, knew about what happened. He had pictures and Claudia's body to prove the murder. But he wasn't really interested in that. He wanted to play a game with his idol, Jason. It ended with the kidnappings of Lulu and Sam, though they were both rescued. But the police found Claudia's body, and were using it to build a case against Sonny.

Sonny's son, Dante, who was undercover in Sonny's organization as Dominic, was bent on brining Sonny down. Michael was jealous of Sonny and Dominic's relationship. When he found out the truth about Dante, he was more than happy to blow that secret out of the water. It was the day of Jossalyn's christening when Sonny wanted to get revenge on Dante. In an intense moment, Sonny shot Dante as Olivia ran in, screaming that Sonny shot his son. Sonny was horrified, but Dante's life was saved. Sonny wanted to make ammends with his son, though Dante refused. However, when questioned about the shooting, Dante stated he had accidentally shot himself.

Over the course of the year, Sonny and Dante would become closer. Sonny was soon arrested for Claudia's murder. Jax was also involved in the undercover investigation, which angered Carly and she threw Jax out. Michael felt guilty, and tried to confess to Mac at the PCPD, but Mac did not believe him. Claire Walsh was brought in to help bring Sonny down, and the trial began. Diane argued that Sonny killed Claudia in self defense to protect Carly and Jossalyn. But Johnny helped Claire's case by stating Sonny had abused Claudia so much that it was only a matter of time before he killed her. Micheal was eventually subpeonaed to testify, and was sent out of the country to Sonny's Island.

Dante and Jax both wanted to protect Micheal. While visiting, Micheal (now played by the awesome Chad Duell) told Dante everything. Dante took Micheal back to Port Charles and thought about what to do. Eventually, the truth came out. Micheal confessed to killing Claudia, and the charges against Sonny were dropped. Dante believed this would help Micheal. He would probably get a suspended sentence and community service hours. Judge Carrol did give him a suspended sentence: 5 years in Pentonville with possible parole after 2. Everyone was mad, but no one was madder than Carly. She wanted revenge on both Lulu and Dante. Then she aslo wanted to keep Morgan away from Sonny, and Jax adopted the young boy.

Jason wanted to kill Dante, but Sonny convinced him not to. Jason decided to give up his freedom and go to prison to protect Micheal. Claire, who felt terrible for helping Micheal get into jail, helped Jason. It's a good thing, too because in prison Micheal was attacked by Carter and may have been raped. Jason was forced to kill Carter, but before he died, Carter told him "Franco says hi". It was revealed that Carter was working for Franco, who would be returning to torment more people.

To get back at Lulu and Dante, who were more in love than ever before, Carly hired Brook Lyn to sleep with Dante to break them up. Spinelli, who was recuperating after a breakup with Maxie, decided to help Carly get revenge.

But all became slightly better when the Judge agreed to release Micheal from prison into the care of Dante. Sonny liked Dante even more now, though Carly did not. Jason had to stay in prison, until Franco came back to town. Claire decided to get Jason released to catch Franco. And what would happen next would surprise everyone.

Remember the Elizabeth/Nikolas/Lucky love trianlge? That flame was quickly extinguished, ey? After Lucky found out the truth, he was enraged and heart broken. He wanted nothing to do with Elizabeth or Nikolas, and began drinking. Lulu felt the same way. Elizabeth suffered a mental breakdown, and went to Shadybrook. After a while, however, Elizabeth learned she was pregnant. Who was the father, Nikolas or Lucky? She hoped it would be Lucky, but a determined Helena decided to switch the paternity test results and make Nikolas the father so there could be a new Cassidine heir. Nikolas wanted to use this to build a family with Liz, but she didn't want him.

During the spring, Elizabeth met a terminal cancer patient named Shirley. By time baby Aiden was born, she accepted Nikolas in her life, and they agreed to share the baby.

Kiefer Bauer and Kristina Davis appeared to be a happy couple, but we all knew that wasn't true. Keifer was abusive towards Kristina, and Kristina was hit and forced into sex. Kristina met Ethan and developed a crush on him. Ethan insisted she was too young for him, but she peristed. One night, Ethan got really made at Kristina for sabbotaging his date. She was devestated and returned to her house, where Keifer was waiting. He beat her and left. Ethan felt guilty and went to see Kristina, but ended up rushing her to the hospital. Kristina was scared that Sonny would kill Kiefer, so she framed Ethan for the beating. When she refused to press charges on Ethan, Sonny was furious and wanted Ethan dead.

Dante and Lucky, who became partners and friends, investigated Kristina's beating and believed that Kiefer was really the culprit. After they questioned Kiefer, he went to go convince Kristina to keep the charges on Ethan. When she refused, he beat her again. But this time Alexis found out the truth. Unfortunately, justice could not be served, for Alexis hit Kiefer on the way to the hospital. Kiefer died, prompting his father to swear vengence.

We were all very happy to see Georgie on the show for a visit. Maxie was very sick, and was dying. Georige visited Maxie and told her she had to choose between living and dying. And Maxie choose to live.

Also returning for a brief stint was Skye Quatermaine. She wanted Luke's help in finding her former husband Alcazar's hidden funds for herself and Lila, and enlisted Luke's help. This angered Tracy, and that was just the start of Luke and Tracy's downfall.

Helena kidnapped Tracy, and Luke went to find her. He was captured as well, and Tracy became very sick. While trapped, Luke confessed that they were never really married. And when Tracy got better after they were rescued, she threw Luke out.

And that was just the first half of the year. We have a lot more to cover, including Brenda's return. I'll be back tomorrow with Part 2.

2010: The Year in Review

I hope you all enjoyed a great holiday, but now it's time to look to the future. It seems that at this time of the year, everyone is doing the same thing. We spend time remembering the past year, and when it is over, we find ourselves looking forward to a new year and a new start.

It has no doubt been a busy year.

Over the next week, I'd like to spend time remembering 2010. On Monday, we'll look at the year on General Hospital. On Tuesday, we'll look at the year at Disneyland. On Wednesday, I'll name my 10 Most Fascinating People of The Year (take that, Barbra Walters!), and on Thursday I'll name my Favorite things of 2010 (take that, Oprah!).

Enjoy the snow (if you have any) and enjoy your gifts. We're in for a treat this week!

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of December 13

Jerry Jacks is not the Balkan.

Rewind to last week. A botherome, yet very amusing patient shows up at General Hospital. Theo Hoffman complains about pain to the staff, who run many tests but find nothing wrong with the man. Yet he persists, leading Robin to diagnose him as being "lonely". So she keeps him over for a night, which lasts a little longer than a single night.

When Theo is finally discharged, he shows up later with a lawsuit on his hands, suing Dr. Drake, Dr. Webber, and GH for inadequete care. He does not, howeverm sue Robin, his actual doctor. He appears to have grown fond of Robin for helping him.

And now, Theo is also going to be arguing for Brenda on the lawsuit against the other man she killed. That's interesting, since when Theo was revealed to be the Balkan, we assume he wants Brenda dead. There's a lot going on right now!

When Jerry arrived, I was pleased. He is one of my favorite villans, and he of course knew that Jason would be there. To get away, Jerry shot an innocent man (surprise!) and then crashed his van of a hill. He got away, and went to Jax's house to see his niece and torment Carly. When Jax walked in, Jerry threatened to shot Carly, which surprised me. I thought for sure he would never kill Carly or the kids, but I guess I was wrong. But this time, Jax is planning on killing Jerry, which is also surprising to me.

Siobhan was also revealed to be in cohoots with The Balkan. And now that Lucky nows she has been lying to him for months, it will be interesting to see what goes down.

On to Sonny and Brenda... Sonny bout Brenda a house that has been all decked out for the holidays. I'm not sure why, but the house reminds me of the lakehouse I used to go to when I was small.

Something that is interesting is that Carly has given her Brenda hate a little respite in order to hate on Abby. I haven't really talked about Michael and Abby in my columns, because I'm not all that interested in the storyline. Kristina and Carly have problems with Abby, and I think I do to. She's just too old for Michael.

Also going down this week at GH was Robin finally catching Lisa stealing drugs for Johnny. But, Johnny was able to concoct a lie about Lisa helping an illegal immigrant who was very sick. He even brought in a real life immigrant who was sick. Wow. The resources these mobsters have. I hope that Robin will be able to talk to the woman and be able to prove that Lisa is insane.

Folks, this week we have a wedding on our hands. It's been a while, especially a Spencer and/or Quatermaine wedding. I'm hoping to see a lot of characters at the Quatermaine mansion. Needless to say, I'm excited!

You Better Watch "Entertainment Tonight" Tonight

Study the picture above. Yep, that's Captain Jack Sparrow and Penelope Cruz, from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. They will be on ET tonight for a special Pirates of the Caribbean event that you don't want to miss.

Earlier today, Disneyland hosted a Pirates fan event called "Pirates Fans First!". Fans were able to watch the trailer for the new film (in 3D, I might add) and enjoy a very cool party complete with gifts and pirate costumes. I could not go, which was really upsetting. However, I know people who did. And they are really looking forward to this film after seeing the trailer.

The rest of the country has the chance to catch it during Entertainment Tonight this evening. It's something you won't want to miss!

Looks who's back in town. Lady Jane! God, I love this woman so much! Ever since she first met Carly and faked that heart attack, I've been a fan of Jax's mom. Jax invited her to see if she has heard from Jerry, who everyone expects to be the Balkan now. She's given Jax some good advice, too. Leave Brenda alone, she told him.

He didn't do that on Sonny and Brenda's first date, though. After dancing around giving it another go, Brenda and Sonny are starting to date. Sonny took her to the Metro Court, probably to get Jax mad. And then Jax joined them for a little while. It certainitly was a battle of testosterone in the restaurant. Their second date was more comic though as Spinelli, Max, and Milo prepared a delicious multi-course meal for them.

Sonny originally wanted to take Brenda elsewhere, but Jason ordered her to stay in th penthouse. It appears as though Jerry will be back in town at any time (he will be very soon!). He already has some of his goons roaming around the city. Jason caught someone, and just as he was about to spill, he was shot by an unknown gunman.

That gunman was revealed to be Johnny. So why did Johnny shoot him? To mess with Jason? Or is he involved with the Balkan, too? Very interesting stuff to ponder. But Johnny did not get away unharmed. He was shot. And instead of going to the hospital, he called Lisa. Recall that Lisa gave Johnny the syringe she was going to inject Robin with, and Johnny went along with it. He still has that syringe, and if Lisa d doesn't help him, he'll turn her in.

Lisa also has another friend now: Nikolas. Lisa the nut has been charming Nikolas to make him believe that she is the one who is being terrorized and stalked. Nikolas has had some bad taste in women. First now Brooke now Lisa? He must be real lonely in that castle of his...

Finally, we might be one step closer to finding out info about the Balkan. Interpol has asked Lucky to go to a bank as Ronan to get a safety deposit box. I'm not sure how this is a really dangerous task, but that's a story for another day.

Oh, and one more thing. Bradford Anderson, who plays Spinelli, is filming a TV pilot. So where does his future in Port Charles stand? I'll let you know when more info is avaliable.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of November 22

It was a short week on GH due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We had our annual fun Thanksgiving holiday, and a repeat on Thursday (which was a poor choice, IMO). And there was nothing on Friday.

Except if you get SOAPnet. And if you did, we you in for a treat! SOAPnet had a special day devoted to classic Jason Morgan episodes from 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2005 dubbed "Black T-Shirt Friday". What was interesting was I wanted so bad to find out who sent Felicia the poisoned flowers and who Sonny and Brenda met. Alas, I will never know these things, but it doesn't really matter. I loved seeing episodes from before I started watching GH.

When Sonny and Brenda kissed last week, I'm sure many loyal fans were very pleased with the event. At their Sonny's old apartment (must be from before he had that penthouse), Sonny and Brenda remembered a time long ago when they were happy. And they finally gave in to what they have both wanted for a long time. They're going to give their relationship another go. And I wish them luck!

Perhaps the easiest thing to do is tell the truth. We all know what Sonny is like when people lie to him and betray him. But now, Brenda told him everything about Alexander, The Balkan, and Dante. And I think he accepted it, but we will see.

Am I the only one who loves when Luke and Carly share a scene? I am into a kick where I call everyone by their first name, so I love when Luke calls Carly "Caroline". Their sparring match was fun to watch and I agree with Luke- if they ever had a common enemy, he/she wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

So what's up with Johnny? He hid that syringe that Lisa tried to inject Robin with, but now what? It seems like he is holding it as leverage, and no matter how much I love seeing Lisa in distress, why is he holding it? It will just make him look guilty, or make it seem like he invented the evidence. The good thing is that Lisa has been banished to the ER, and it looks like Robin and Patrick may be on the road to recovery.

Their makeshift Thanksgiving dinner at the hospital was very sweet. Mac almost ruined it, but it's a good thing he went to Alexis's. Talk about slow- they really need to put these two together! Alexis and Mac need storylines about them, not their families.

Thanksgiving is always a day to showcase the Quatermaines. And I love it! There's nothing like getting the world's most dysfunctional family to gather around a pizza. And this year, The Quatermaine's house had the biggest crowd since Alan's death. True, Edward and Tracey were the only "actual" Q's there, but the Spencer clan was also there to celebrate Luke and Tracy's upcoming nuptials (made official with a huge engagement ring). Lucky brought Shiobhan with him, who Edward loved. Newly weded Maya and Ethan were there. And So was LuLu, who dragged Dante, who in turn dragged Michael. And once again, it was great to see Michael at the Quatermaine's. I do hope to see him there more often. And of course, Alice.

BODIES

Last week, I had the chance to see the Bodies Exhibit in NYC at The South Street Seaport. It was quite an interesting place!

First thing, these are all real bodies. And there is nothing seperating you from these bodies. You are asked not to touch them, but you can literally look at them from a few mere inches away.

There are rooms dedicated to skeletal system, circulatory system, nervous system, respitory system, digestive system, and more. Organs are kept under glass, but there are so many different versions of the organs. There are cancerous organs that are compared to healthy organs. Something interesting (and rather uncoforting) was a penis that was covered in tumors. Ouch.

There is also a room dedicated to fetal development, complete with babies. There are even conjoined twins. For me, the room solidified my Pro-Life beliefs. I think it had an affect on everyone, regardless of their beliefs.

The Bodies Exhibit is a must for people interested in science and medicine. I am niether of those types of people, yet I found myself fascinated. At the end of the Exhibit, you were even allowed (and encouraged) to hold a human brain, liver, and lung. Very cool stuff!

Toy Story 3: Still the Best

With only a few weeks left in the year, there is only one film I am interested in seeing. That film is Tron: Legacy.

But even if Tron is awesome, which looks like it will, it will not come close to THE BEST film of the year.

Toy Story 3.

Now, Toy Story 3 is not my favorite Pixar film. That would be Toy Story 2. But it is Number 3, right after the Incredibles. Who knows? It may even be better than the Incredibles, but I need to watch TS3 more to find out.

Toy Story 3 is a touching story that affect me because I too am heading off to college. I know what Andy is going through. And I have a favorite stuffed toy, named Dinosaur. And I will NEVER get rid of him after seeing Toy Story 3.

I cried after I saw Toy Story 3. All I have to say, is thank God for the clips during the credits, which made the movie much happier. Even though the ending is happy, in a way. But it's still sad.

Toy Story 3 is the Best Picture of 2010. Let's hope the Academy agrees.

Fringe on Fridays: Kiss of Death?

I haven't been able to do my Fringe columns, and that's my fault.

This season of fringe has been nothing short of incredible. I have always liked the monster of the week episodes, but this season, the monster of the week format has added to the overall arc of the show is a gripping way.

Take the episode Amber 31422. The episode appears to be about a man breaking out of The Other Side's Madison Square garden that has been incased in amber. But we discover the innerworkings of Alt. Fringe Division and more about the characters.

What about my favorite thus far, 6955 kHz? All these people appear to lose amnesia when they listen to a Numbers broadcast? But wait! This episode explains a lot of background info into a larger mythology than the Cortexiphan trials Walter performed with William Bell. The numbers correspond to the locations of pieces of a machine created by the first people, who were here millions of years ago. These people were highly advanced, discovering a vaccum that created and could destroy everything. And this machine has something to do with the Other Side, because Walternate sent Fauxlivia here to get it. (FYI: I know it's common to call Alt. Olivia "Bolivia", however, Anna Torv appeared on Jay Leno the other night and confirmed they call her "Fauxlivia").

And the latest episode was another Roller Coaster. Olivia helps track down a evil guy known as "The Candy Man", who takes children to steal their youth. Years ago, he took Alt. Broyle's son. Olivia saved Broyle's son from being taken again, leaving Alt. Broyles to question everything Walternet told him. With Olivia being able to send a distress signal to Peter on Our Side, how will Peter react? Will Alt. Broyles help Olivia go home after Walternet took her out of the tank?

I will resume normal Fringe Columns for the rest of the season, but the point of this post was to complain. Not about Fringe, but about Fox. Fringe is no doubt my favorite show on TV right now, and is one of the best, period. But in order to make room for the aging American Idol, many shows have been messed with. Bones is being moved an hour later. And now Fringe is being moved to the deadly Friday Night post. Is this the kiss of death? Odds are, yes. But, keep in mind, The X Files did well on Fridays.

Fringe was renewed after last season's less than stellar ratings because it had the best ratings out of any show Fox attempted to put there. But with ratings slightly down from last year, they have decided to fuck with Fringe. If we're lucky, if Fringe does better than what they currently have on Fridays will be enough for another season.

But if Fringe is cancelled, let's hope that it can at least be given good closure. But let's hope it doesn't come to that...

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of November 8

I'm sorry I have been away, but November has been a really busy month. But I'm back, juat like Jerry Jacks will return in a few short weeks. So is he the Balkan? It's seemingly more likely, but I sure as hell am not omplaining! With the exit of Helena, we need a villian that everyone loves to hate!

Right now, the biggest villan on canvas is Lisa, who I just hate. I can tell that she is loving the way Robin blames her for everything, which I think is her plan. Get Robin paranoid in order to get her fired. Lisa did not start that fire that burnded down the Scorpio house. But I'm sure it is helping her plans.

Instead of Lisa appearing in the opening credits, I think Claire should. C;aire is a much more complex character than Lisa, and is just much more likable. Her helping Sonny may seem like a bitch, but in actuality if it was discovered that the evidence that was obtained was obtained illegally, than a whole mess of people would be in trouble- The Constitution is here for a reason, folks. She did do the right thing.

Sonny broke up with Claire after seeing the trouble he has caused her. It appears as though he has given up on relationships altogether. I wish he would reconsider Kate Howard, I really do miss seeing her. Even if her relationship with Coleman is funny.

Speaking of funny, how about our little trip to Vegas? Luke, Tracey, Maya, and Ethan traveled to Vegas with hilarious results! In short, the all got drunk, and Maya and Ethan ended up getting married instead of Luke and Tracey by that funny minister. And it's leagal. So we are in the midst of Maya and Ethan getting an annulment, while Tracey agrees to marry Luke if he signs a prenup. Will he?

In darker news, we found out what happened between Brenda and Dante. Brenda was dating the Balkan's son, but broke up with him after she found out about his ties to crime. But Alexander didn't like that, and began to stalk her, hence the police protection. Dante was assigned to protect her, and they became close. Alexander attacked Brenda and Dante, resulting in Brenda shooting Alexander. Dante covered it up, and the Balkan must have found out about this. I'm willing to be Dante and Brenda didn't have any relationship, even though Brenda mentioned something about a baby. My guess is that this "baby" must belong to Brenda and Alexander. Maybe it died, but I'm not sure.

But with Carly on the hunt into Brenda's past, this secret can't remain hidden for too long! She's already alerted Lulu, which Dante lied about again. That can't be good for their relationship. So now Jason is the only one who knows the truth. Micheal also knows a little bit. And no one is telling.

Very interesting, indeed...

Dante and Brenda have a secret! I was worried it was going to be some love thing, which would have been as bad as Sonny bedding Mom Alexis and Daughter Sam. But I don't think it has anything to do with love. We saw through flashbacks that Dante was a gaurd for Brenda sometime in the past. This secret must have something to do with why the Balkan is after her.

Last week, we were left with this chilling nugget: Lisa was released from Shadybrook. Yep, less than 2 weeks after she was admitted for terrorizing Robin and trying to kill herself. The economy must have hit Shadybrook bad if they are releasing insane woman. And it appears as though some people are on Lisa's side, and questioning Robin's sanity. You know, I screamed at Lisa when she tried to kill herself. Now, I kinda regret her not killing herself. Let's hope at least that Robin presses charges on Lisa...

Lucky, aka Ronan O'Riley (which is a really fun name to say) got with Siobhan this week. It's about time, too. After all he has been through this year, it's about time he has a romance. And I like Shiobhan, too. The accent can get annoying, though!
Lucky has also been given orders from the Balkan: hunt down Brenda. I know I have said it before. but this Balkan storyline is really great. I wonder if this is a setup for sweeps?

Remember the last really great sweeps? It was the Black and White Ball. Though I did enjoy the Claudia storyline last year, the best fall sweeps was the Black and White Ball. I really hope GH goes back to something like that. The Monkey Virus, train crash, and of course, the Hostage Crisis was GH at its best.

Luke is back being Luke. What more can I say about that? Gotta love him!

Elizabeth is also back. Not much to say about her yet, but I have missed her. I want to like her again, so let's hope I can.

Lastly, it seems the internet is a buzz with who the Balkan really is. It has surfaced that Jerry Jax is headed back to Port Charles (after a GREAT recurring role on Fringe as the villianous shapeshifter). But that's not till December, so we have a long way to go!

GH Weekly Round Up: Week of September 27

I've never commented on Bredna yet, and she's been on GH for several weeks now. So let's start with her. In short: I love her!

Brenda left Port Charles long before I began watching GH. In fact, I knew very little about her before this summer. I knew she was with Jax, Sonny, and Jason, and that Brenda an Sonny were a "supercouple" but that was about it. The little "Brenda's Men" marathon ABC aired of vintage (hehehe) GH episodes was a really nice way to learn.

The Baulkin storyline is quite interesting, and I love how it is involving many of the characters. Lucky (aka Ronin O'Riley), LuLu, and Dante are in Ireland going after him on Interpol business. Jason is protecting Brenda by bringing her back to Port Charles. So this will bring Sonny into the fray, as well as Spinelli, whose infatuation with her is a needed refresh from his fatuation with Jason. Sam, Carly, Jax, the kids, the Spencer clan, maybe even a few of the Quatermaines will probably also become entangled with this. I'm loving all the possibilites that come with the storyline. November sweeps, anyone?

Brenda was able to see Sonny on Friday after his short vacation with Claire ended. You know, I really feel bad for Claire. I do love the Sonny/Claire relationship, but I know this will not end well. All will come crashing down around Claire with Brenda back, and I really like Claire. Perhaps a pairing with Lucky is better? It would be interesting to explore.

Speaking of Lucky, when will he fins out he is really Aiden's son? I know Liz is off on maternity leave, and I'm looking forward to her return. But

Last time I wrote about how crazy Lisa is. Well, folks, she finally went of the deep end. After "trapping" Robin in that well, she wanted so badly to get her hooks into Patrick, but found out Patrick was playing her. And when Patrick finally was able to rescue Robin, Lisa came with a gun. So, who will be shot?

Robin better not, or else everyone risks HIV ala the Metro Court Hostage crisis. Speaking of which, Stone came to Robin while she was trapped. Once again, their love was waaaay before I began watching, so it was nice to finally get some clarification on their relationship. I think he visit reveals to everyone that while Robin will always love Stone, she can love Patrick, too. I hope they get back together.

In other news, Luke is returning this week! God, I miss him! I can't wait to see what is instore!

Never Forget

Nine years ago, I was sitting in my third grade class when one child after another was picked up by their parents. My glassmaker dwindled to about 6 kids for some unknown reason.

Later that afternoon, the school psychologist came into the class and explained to us that there was a "big accident" in the city around the World Trade Center. Only when I came homemdid I find out the true horror about what occurred. My mom cried for so long that night.

My dad was working in the city. He was in the Towers several minutes before they were struck. He was one of the countless who were able to get out of that horror alive. Unfortuantely, the people who we do have numbers on did not make it.

The last thing I remember on September 11, 2001 is going to bed with the TV on. Except nothing was playing. There was only an American flag with a message. What it said, I do not remember.

God Bless all those who lost their lives on that tragic day. May their families also be blessed, as well as everyone affected by this.

I guess that includes all Americans. And people around the world.

Disneyland Resort Info And News

I know I haven't done a Disneyland Update in quite a while, but a lot has progressed since then. World of Color has opened, and has been a hit. Both Disneyland and DCA have seen some record-breaking crowds, and the parks have never looked better (if you don't mind construction, that is!). I will be spending a week at Disneyland later this month and be doing a live report there. So, let's start this update!

Attraction Closures
Disneyland
-Star Tours: Closed through May 2011 during a rehab and enhancement. The ride will be recieving some TLC, as well as brand new digital 3D films. More info will come on this rehab as it is released.
-Alice In Wonderland: Closed for an unknown period of time after OSHA brought up an issue it had with the lack of safety rails on the outdoor portion of the ride. Will be closed while a sutible solution is thought of.
-Haunted Mansion: Will close earlier this year on August 30 for its holiday overlay.
-Village Haus: Closed from August 30 to December 19 for a refurbishment.
Disney's California Adventure
-Toy Story Midway Mania!: Will close from August 30 to October 10 for a rehab.

News and Rumors from Around the Resort
While Star Tours remains the only major construction job at Disneyland, DCA still is packed with construction walls. The good news is that Buena Vista Street construction appears to be starting as early as September, with construction most likely starting on The Carthay Circle Theater being the first up at bat. Why so early? There will not be any Holloween party this year at DCA. The focus for HolloweenTime this year will be at Disneyland, where there will be special Holloween parties (extra cost) with trick-or-treating, and the Holloween Screams fireworks. Imagineers plan to close down half of the enterance at a time to allow the park to remain as convienient as possible for guests. I wonder why the connecting path bewtween Bugs Land and Hollywood is going to be finishing up in the next few weeks? ;)

Speaking of which, the Red Car Tracks are finished near Tower of Terror, and the Tower of Terror FastPasses are back up and running. The new brickwork is quite nice, a large improvement over plain pavement. I must admit I was a fan of the faux-street markings Hollywood Pictures Backlot had and will miss them a little. But I'll take the brickwork over the pavement any day of the week!

As for the Little Mermaid, it is on course for an opening in May of 2011. This ride promises to be very detailed and have some pretty advanced Audio-Animatronics. The Omnimovers will move slightly slower than the Haunted Mansion, so expect this small ride to be about as long as the Mansion.

Carsland is moving at a pretty fast rate. Car testing for the ride is over, and more permanent track is going to be placed. 2012 can't come soon enough, eh?

And to end, a look at Alice in Wonderland under wraps. The drama continues!

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of July 26

Another great week on General Hospital!

GH continued in lockdown mode for a day while a terrified and exhausted Elizabeth slept. It was revealed, however, that the baby was taken by Jay Morgan (or whoever) to be given to Franco. Jay Morgan was then killed instead of being paid and disguised as a sleeping hospital patient. You see, it wasn't Franco who went over the side of the building- It was a man with Stage 4 cancer. The whole "FracnoFrenia" thing appears to be a clever ruse to distract everyone from what Franco was really planning- to kidnap Aiden and give him to the deranged artist's mother.

Funniest scene this week goes to Max and Diane warning Claire about Sonny. Claire does want a baby from Sonny, so their warning shouldn't do all that much. But as someone who has been watching GH since 2004 (6 years; I started during the Port Charles Hotel fire), I could attest to everything that was said. And I'm sure you could, too!

The longer Lisa is on my screen, the more I want to punch her. Seriously. While Patrick's actions are inexcusable, Lisa has been a total bitch in the situation. I mean, lounging around a hospital bed naked? WTF is wrong with her?

Someone who also needs to be examined is Jason. For a long time, I liked him more than Sonny. But now, Sonny is much more appealing. All Jason cares about is Michael. Michael this and Michael that. It needs to end. Jason was going to kill Dante over revenge for sending him to prison, even though Dante was trying to do the right thing. Luckily, Dante was able to convince Jason that killing him was not a wise decision. And he did it by pondering what would happen to Michael if he was killed.

Once again, I fail to see Kristina's logic. First off, she keeps saying Michael saved her life. Um, no. Michael merely stood in front of her, which sure, is a heroic thing to do. But Mac was the one saving their lives by shooting Warren Bauer. And no one is thanking him. But they better, or else I will be really pissed! Secondly, Kristina is angry at Sonny for confronting Michael about fighting, which absoultely makes no sense. Michael needs to stop getting into fights an act like an adult!

So was Michael raped or not? That's what everyone seems to be thinking. When will we find out? Perhaps this week.

What a week on General Hospital! Gripping drama, deaths, kidnapping, and twists and turns were abound while General Hospital went into lockdown.

Let's start with the event that got us into this mess. Elizabeth gave birth to her son, with faux-father Nikolas by her side. She named him Aiden, much to the protest of Helena. Helena has pretty much given up on her plan, and now refers to Spencer as the true Cassadine heir.

Unfortunately, the baby went missing. Everyone suspected Helena was the cuprit, but she was actually telling the truth when she said she had nothing to do with the kidnapping. It was actually Franco who took the poor baby. And now they're searching for him while the hospital is in lockdown.

Also, Patrick's secret will be revealed soon. That whore Lisa has been acted like a cocky bitch ever since the incident, and Carly overheard them arguing this week. When will this secret come out? Soon, probably.

Unfortunately, during the lockdown, we lost Shirley. At least she was able to hold baby Aiden before she passed. Shirely was a great character, and all though we all knew she would die, we weren't ready just yet. Shirley added so much warmth and sole into a show that lost much of this vital ingredient. I will miss Shirley terribly. From personal expierience with a terminal cancer patient, I can say GH did a great job pulling off this difficult storyline. And Elizabeth turning off the monitor and pronouncing her dead was heartwrenching.

Also horrible is Mr. Bauer's rampage through the hospital. Earlier in the week, he confronted Kristina when she was with her family (dad included!) when Sonny suspected that Mr. Bauer beat his son, which is what led to Kristina being abused by Kiefer. During thew lockdown, Mr. Bauer was verbally abuing Kristina and was about to physically abuse her when Michael bursted in and saved the day. Lucky and Mac soon came in, along with Ethan and Mya, and turned the other way after nowing what Mr. Bauer has done. This got Mr. Bauer mad, and he lost it.

Bauer went on a shooting rampage through the lounge, and shot Mac and Ethan, both of whom are critically wounded and fighting for their lives in surgery right now. But before Bauer was able to shot Michael and/or Kristina, Mac shot him. He later died, but not before blaming Kristina for all of this. Poor Kristina. I really hope she makes it through this.

So, Franco plunged off the building after a strange, but exhilarating fight with Jason. His last words were "I know where the baby is". Too bad Dante was never able to let Jason know about Liz's missing kid. Someone will probably be fuming this week! But, is Franco really dead? It could go either way right now.

On another note, I'd like to give kudos to all those who worked on the show. This doesn't just include the fine actors and actresses. The set designers, production crew, and everyone else did an incredible job, especially at the art gallery. This week is living proof that GH is the best daytime drama on television.

Comic-Con Update!

Well, we are in the middle of Comic Con 2010, and I'd thought I would share with you a few tidbits that have gone on. Longer Comic Con articles will be posted depending on when they become avaliable on YouTube.

First, I'm sure you've all heasrd the buzz on the new Haunted Mansion Movie. Guillermo del Toro announced plans to reboot The Haunted Mansion film, sans Eddie Murphy. This time, the movie will be much scary, and will not be a comedy. For more info, click here!

Fans were also treated to a teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I know I speak for many when I say welcome back, Capitain Jack!!

In 1955, Walt Disney opened his pride and joy, Disneyland. His greatest gamble and most celebrated project was believed by many to be a failure. But those beliefs were wrong.

Today, Disneyland is the emblem of all theme parks around the world. And Walt should rest in peace knowing that Disneyland is still, and will always be, a joy and inspiration to all the world.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of July 5th

*Eidtor's Note: It's good to be back! I had a blast at Walt Disney World, and will upload pictures and a trip report later this week. Hope summer is going well!

It seems like forever since I've done one of these. But, here we go!

The week started with a bang as ABC one of the best episodes of the year: when Sonny shot Dante. It's always a great episode to watch, and acted greatly. Kudos to the actors once again!!

Also interesting to note is that another one of Sonny's children was in danger because of him. The car bomb he ordered to take Johnny out did explode, but Johnny was able to pull Kristina away in time so that both of them only suffered minor injuries. But Kristina is suffering even more now then she did before. She is convinced that Sonny ordered the failed hit, and she is right. However, Sonny has the rest of the town convinced that Lopez Brothers actually did it. He even swore on Dante's life that he didn't plant the bomb. Only one person knows the truth- Michael. After all that kid has been through, Sonny still can't learn. And here I was hoping for Michael to be able to leave the mob forever.

There seems to be a small breakthrough, though. Johnny convinced Kristina to give up the charade, and Sonny pulled the "I'm your father, treat me with respect" crap that every dad pulls. But she listened to her punishment (including having dinner with him every Tuesday) and didn't give any lip.

Claire Walsh and Lucky do believe Sonny is lying, and Claire is planning to get Sonny interested in her to take him down, like so many other woman, However, I have faith in her. I am really liking the character of Claire, so I look forward to what she has cooking. But, I have a feeling she will fall for him. But that relationship will be interesting to watch for sure! Especially with the prospect of Brenda returning in August!

In other news, Franco is back. I liked James Franco's role last year, but this time it seems as though there is a reason for the existence of his character, which is intriguing. His mother added a bit of insight to the character. And I must admit that I felt bad for Franco's mom. Whatever Franco has planned, it seems dangerous.

What do we know so far? Franco likes the number 66 and gave 66 (5 1/2 dozen) roses to Maxie. He has also visited Carly, Maxie, and last we saw him, visiting Jax and Josslyn. We also saw him sitting in his house residing over a bunch of pictures wondering who to kill. But why certain people? Oh, and the artist also is amused by a monkey who crashes symbols.

Spinelli and Maxie are over it seems. But to be honest, at this point, I really don't care what happens to them. Spinelli, who I used to like, has grown into a Jason Jr. When Jason was in jail, he was so depressed he couldn't get dressed. This obsession needs to end. Spinelli's skills could be so useful, instead he has to use them for bad things.

Ass of the week goes to Lisa. I've hated this bitch since she came to town. Now, I know what you're saying. Patrick instigated the sex. That's why he's the runner-up. But all Lisa has done since then has been to torment Patrick and Robin. When Robin returned, Lisa ran over to her and hugged her and feigned being her friend. WHAT A BITHC!!

Finally, let's end with Shirley. She finally got a backstory. She loved a man, but he left, and then came back when she had another family. Shirley left everything behind to run off with her love, including here kids. Now that is just horrible! I must say, I lost a lot of respect for this woman after that.

Let's see if it will be restored.

Yes folks! After weeks of my blog sitting idle, it's back up for an awesome summer! Exams, work, and school has kept me from updating my blog as often as I'd like, so it went on a short hiatus.

But now it's back! Next week, I will actually be vacationing in Walt Disney World, so you can expect a great trip report when I return!

Lost: "The End"

The episode began with the delivery of some precious cargo. Christian Shephard, whose body has been MIA (both on the Island, and in the flashsideways) was delievered to what appeared to be The Lampost church during a musical montage featuring many of the characters. Desmond and Kate were on hand to see the body being delievered. Kate really doesn't show much interest, and wants to know why she's here. Desmond tells her that no one can tell her why she is in this place. He tells her that even though she doesn't realize it, she is his friend and he wants to leave. Kate wants to know what this means, and Desmond decideds to show her.

*WOOSH* On Island, Jacob is now gone, and Jack is the protector of the Island. Jack tells his freinds that he has to protect The Heart of The Island. If the Man in Black puts out The Source, then everyone will die. Sawyer guesses that Flocke needs Desmond to put out The Source, so they have to get Desmond before Flocke does. Sawyer sets out to get him, while everyone else heads to the bamboo forest.

*WOOSH* Sayid and Hurley are parked in the Motel parking lot where they had their adventures in Season 5, off-Island. Sayid doesn't remember anything. Hurley goes to one of the rooms and finds a drunk Charlie. After Charlie turns down playing at the concert even though Hurley says "It's the most important thing you will ever do", Hurley tranqualizes him. Hurley's going to take him to the concert now.

*WOOSH* Sawyer watches Flocke and Ben as they all find out that Desmond is not in the well. Someone else has let him out. But Flocke is curious as to why Sawyer is there. Sawyer tells him he was going to rescue Des from Flocke, who wants to use Des to destroy the Island. Flocke admits to this, but plans to leave before destroying it and Jacob's Candidates. But Sawyer tells him there are no more Candidates, but a new protector of the Island. Flocke is surprised, but doesn't go after Sawyer when he leaves. Instead he plans to go find Desmond. Ben is surprised about the destruction of the Island, for Flocke promised him he could have it. But, it is evident later that Ben never believed Flocke at all. Still, as the two leave, they come across dog prints.

It turns out Rose and Bernard rescued Des and brought him to their "house". They told him about traveling from '77 to 2007 when "the sky lit up". They want to serve him breakfast, but after that he must leave because they don't get involved anymore. Rose and Bernard don't want any drama. But it's a little too late. Flocke comes strolling in with Ben, and threatens to kil Rose and Bernard and "make it hurt" if Des refuses to come with him. Rose says Des doesn't have to go anywhere with Flocke, but Des agrees to go if he won't touch them. Desmond says he will do whatever he wants. As they leave, Ben's walkie makes a sound.

It's Miles trying to communicate with him. He found Richard Alpert, (thankfully) alive. Richard checks to see if Miles stil has the C4, and tells him that they need to go to Hydra Island to blow up that plane to keep the Man in Black from leaving.

*WOOSH* Miles is seen at the setup for the concert when he sees Sayid there as well. He calls Sawyer and tells him and notifies that the captives never made it to prison. He suggests Sawyer go to the hospital to protect Sun, the one witness to the crime. And he takes that advice.

At the hospital, Juliet comes in to check Jin and Sun's baby. While performing the sonogram, Sun has a memory flash and remembers Juliet doing the same thing to her on The Island. Jin also has memory flashes. Jin and Sun remember everything that happened to them, and remember their deaths. In the first really emotional part of the Finale, Jin and Sun cry with joy. Juliet just believes that they're happy to see the baby, and asks if they want to know what sex the baby is. In perfect English, Sun replies, "It's a girl". Jin then adds, "Her name is Ji-Yeon".

*WOOSH* On the Island, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer, and Kate finally come face-to-face with Ben, Desmond, and Flocke. Kate angrily starts shooting at Flocke shouting, "You killed them!" although it does no good. Flocke suggests he save the bullets and stop shooting. He then walks up to Jack and asks "So, it's you", adding that he is surprised at Jacob because it seems like the obvious choice, though Jack says he volunteered for the duty. Flocke assumes Jack is there to stop him, but Jack says he wants to go with him to The Source. Jack is there to protect the Island and keep Flocke from destroying it. Instead, he's going to kill him. Flocke says only one person will be right, and we have to wait to see who is.

*WOOSH* Jack prepares Locke for surgery. They talk a little, and Locke wonders if they ever found his father. Jack tells Locke he got a call from Oceanic this morning, and he is being shipped home. Locke hopes this will give him peace, but Jack tells him the only way he will be at peace is if he fixes him. Out in the hall, Jack runs into Juliet- David's mother! She is there to take David and Claire to the concert while Jack performs the surgery. David and Juliet leave together.

*WOOSH* As Miles and Richard prepare to go to Hydra Island in an outrigger, Miles finds something surprising: Richard has his first grey hair. Richard is emotional after realizing he is beginning to age again. He tells Miles that he wants to live. As they paddle over to Hydra Island, they come across a very much alive Frank Lapidus. They rescue him, give him water, and Frank convinces them to not blow up the plane. Instead, they can fix it and get the hell out of there.

On the Main Island, the group comes across the opening to the bamboo forest. Flocke suggests that only Jack, Desmond, and himself should continue on. Hurley goes up to Jack and says, "I believe in you, dude". And with that, they leave as Flocke comments on the bad storm approaching.

*WOOSH* Sayid and Hurley are once again seated in the car, but this time in a dark alley. Hurley tells Sayid that he thinks he is a good guy, despite what people may have told him. This appears to be put to the test when a a man is getting beat up. A woman comes begging for the attacker the stop beating his brother, but is pushed down by the attacker. Without thinking, Sayid runs to the resuce. After taking care of the attacker, Sayid rushes to the woman who is revealed to be Shannon(!). When they touch, they too have a memory flash of everything that happened to them on the Island and imediately start kissing. Boone then comes over to Hurley commenting on the beating lasting a little too long and the trouble it was getting Shannon here from Sydney. But they both agree it was worth it, and then decided to let them have a moment togethere before they all leave.

*WOOSH* Miles is able to reach Ben and he tells them not to blow up the plane. Miles says Lapidus is going to fly the Ajira plane off the Island, so everyone needs to get there now. But his meassage is interuppted by gunshots. Claire comes out, and is worried that Flocke sent them to kill her. When they insist they are just trying to leave, Claire doesn't believe them. Claire doesn't want to leave.

As Flocke finally reaches the stream, Desmond tells Jack that none of this matters, for he saw a place where they were free from the Island, and when he goes down into the light he'll be in a place where everyone is alive again. He tells him that he believes the Jack he saw on Oceanic 815 was happy, and the plane never crashed. Desmond wants to change it. But Jack has already tried and learned tha there are no do-overs; whatever happened, happened.

Flocke secures a rope to a tree and ties Des to it. Jack and Flocke lower him down into the hole where The Source is. Flocke comments on how it's like old times- Des in a hole in the ground, and if there was a button they could argue about pressing it. Jack angrily disagrees, stating that The Man in Black is not John Locke and disrepects his memory by posing as him. Jack states that Locke turned out to be right about everything, and regrest not telling him this when he was alive. Flocke disagrees, saying John Locke was wrong about everything and is going to prove it to him when the Island is at the bottom of the ocean. Suddenly, the rope goes slick as Des reaches the bottom of the hole. Flocke and Jack stare down into the hole, and the camera slowly goes down the hole, in a nice throwback to the Season 1 finale when Jack and Locke stared into the Hatch.

*WOOSH* Juliet recieves a message and has to go back to the hospital. She leaves David and Claire to enjoy the concert. She has to go back to the hospital. And once there, something very emotional happens.

*WOOSH* The Heart of the Island is revealed to contain a large pool where the very strong light emerges. Around it are ancient carvings and structures, as well as many skeletons of people who have long been dead. The light is brightest in the center, where a long object is placed. Desmond wades into the pool as it begins to grow brighter and brighter. From above, Jack and Flocke hear his screams as he wades. Desmond reaches the large stone and has trouble removing it. He finally is able to, and we see that the stone is carved with cuniefom, and ancient form of writing from Mesopotamia, showing that the Island was first inhabited around 5000 BC. The ancient people obviously knew the Island was important and constructed this place too keep the electromagnetic energy safe. That is why Jacob's Mother protected it; she is from a long line of people who lived on the Island to protect The Source. After lifting it, the water begins to drain and the light goes out. The bottom of the pool begins to grow red with molten activity, possibly connected to that darn volcano. Earthquakes begin to occur. From above, Flocke tells Jack that he was right. Desmond is also confused, as he believes he was supposed to travel to the flashsideways.

Flocke leaves, and Jack angrily follows him. Jack attacks Flocke, but something strange happens- Flocke starts to bleed. Jack realizes he was right, too, and can now kill The Man in Black. But before anything happens, Flocke knocks Jack unconcious and flees to the boat. Meanwhile, one of the tremors knocks a tree down and traps Ben. Surprisingly, everyone tries to help him.

*WOOSH* At the concert, Claire is surprised to be seated with Claire, and Claire is surprised to be seated with Kate and Desmond. Meanwhile, backstage, Charlie is woken by Charlotte. Charlie goes onstage to perform with Daniel (Faraday) Widmore, after a breif intro from an elder Pierre Chang. As Charlie begins to sing, he stops and stares at Claire. She stares back. But then, a contraction hits. She tries to find a bathroom, but stumbles backstage. Meanwhile, Eloise is angry at quite the "violation" that is occuring at her party. It's clear that Eloise knows whatever the hell is going on as she asks Des, "Once they know, then what?". Des tells her that they're leaving. When Eloise asks if he'll take his son, he responds, "Not with me, no".

Kate and Charlie find Claire backstage in labor, and Kate sends Charlie to get water and blankets. As Kate is coaching her through the labor, she sees the memomory flashes. She sees herself on The Island helping Claire deliver Aaron. Upon seeing Aaron, Claire also has a memory flash. Charlie then comes back to find an overjoyed Kate and Claire. As Claire takes his hand, he too has memory flashes of the events on the Island. Charlie is happy to be reunited with Claire and Aaron and they hug and hold each other. Kate looks up to see Des standing over them. She asks him, "Now what?".

*WOOSH* Jack awakens and runs after Flocke to where the ladder to Jacob's Cave is. As Jack catches up, Flocke turns and removes his knife and they both stand for a moment before charging after each other. The storm is full-blast now. The fight is hard and brutal. Flocke looses his knife for a moment as Jack tries to strangle him, but then plunges the knife into Jack's side. He then starts to cut Jack's throat in an oddly similar pattern as the cut in the flashsideways. The again, that gash in his side is similar to the "appendectemy scar" in the flashsideways. Flocke then tells Jack he's about to die for nothing. But a shot rings out. Blood tringles out of a hole in Flocke's shirt. Kate shot him with the bullet she saved. Jack climbs to his feet, but Flocke says she's too late. Jack then kicks Flocke down to his death as he smashes into the rocks below. The smoke monster has been defeated. The Man in Black is now... dead.

But the tremors don't stop.

*WOOSH* At the hospital, Locke wakes up after his surgery. Locke tells him the surgery worked. He is able to move his toes, and as he does, he witnesses a memory flash. He becomes very emotional and asks if Jack "saw it". Jack has a momentary memory flash but resists. Locke asks him to come with him, but Jack says he has to meet his son, to which Locke replies, "You don't have a son". Jack is upset and confused, and begins to leave. Before he exits, Locke tells him he hopes someone does for Jack what Jack did for him.

*WOOSH* The rain ceases and Ben, Hurley, and Sawyer join Jack and Kate. Jack realizes that whatever Des turned off has to be turned back on to save the Island. But if his plan doesn't work, everyone needs to be on the plane to leave. Kate begs Jack to come with them, but Jack knows his destiny is to stay. Ben gives Sawyer the walkie because he doesn't want to leave, and if the Island sinks, he is going down with it. Hurley also is with Jack. Jack tells Kate to get Claire on that plane. Sawyer shakes Jack's hand and thanks him for everything. Jack and Kate share a sad, tearful goodbye, for they both know this is the last time they will see each other. Jack and Kate kiss and profess their love for each other. Sawyer and Kate jump off the cliff to get to the boat to take them to Hydra Island. On Hydra Island, Frank, Miles, and Richard prepare the plane for flight and takeoff while there is still ground.

*WOOSH* Sawyer finds Jin and Sun, who are leaving the hospital. He offers his protection, but Sun declines, saying she doesn't need it. Jin adds, "we'll see you there". Sawyer then goes to a vending machine to get an Apollo Bar, but it becomes stuck. Juliet sees trouble, and shows him how to get it unstuck. As she hands him the bar, their fingers touch, and they each have a memory flash. They remember each other, and everything Juliet says mirrors what she said to Sawyer shortlet before she died in "LA X". Overwhelmed, they kiss and hold each other.

*WOOSH* Back on The Island, Jack, Hurley, and Ben go to The Source. Jack insists he will go down alone, and makes it clear he wil not survive the journey. Hurley becomes very sad, and says he will not let Jack die. Plus, Jack has a job to do. Jack tells Hurley that The Island needs him to protect it, and he believes in Hugo being the Protector. Hurley agrees, but only until Jack returns. Using an Oceanic water bottle, Jack performs the ritual (minus the incantation) and after Hurley drinks, Jack tells him "Now you're like me".

On Hydra Island, Kate find Claire sitting on the beach. At first, Claire doesn't want to leave because she doesn't want Aaron to see how crazy The Island made her. But Kate convinces her she'll help her, and they go to the plane. Sawyer, Kate, and Claire are able to flag down Lapidus before he leaves. They all climb aboard.

Back on the Main Island, Jack reaches the bottom of the cavern. He finds Desmond, and Desmond apologizes for everything. He says he will go, for the electromagnetic energy will kill him. But Jack tells him he has suffered enough. He tells him to go home to his wife and child. Jack then tells him, "I'll see you in another life, brother".

*WOOSH* Jack finally gets to the concert, but it is over. Kate is there and tells him how much she has missed him. They talk, and she touches his face. But Jack is taken aback again when he has the memory flashes. Jack doesn't understand what is happening, but Kate says he will if he comes with her.

*WOOSH* Jack is able to plug the hole after much struggling. But nothing happens- just yet. On Hydra Island, Lapidus is able to get the plan in the air and they soar over the Island. In the cavern, the water begins to flow again. Jack smiles as he is engulfed in bright light and water. When Hurley and Ben see the light, they begin to pull the rope up, and pull Desmond up. Hurley realizes that Jack is now gone. Ben comforts him by telling him he did his job. Hurley begins to doubt himself, but Ben says Hurley will do what he does best: take care of people. Hurley doesn't have to run the Island the way Jacob did it. Maybe there is a better way to run things. He can send Desmond home. Still, Hurley is worried, and asks Ben to be his "Number Two". Ben says he would be honored.

*WOOSH* At the Lampost church, Locke arrives in a cab and emerges in his wheelchair. Ben is sitting outside, and the two exchange greetings. Ben tells him most of "them" are inside. As Locke wheels in, Ben tells him he is very sorry of everything that he had every done to him, especially when he killed him. He was jealous of everything Locke had. Ben tells him he isn't going in, for he still has stuff to "work out". If it makes him feel better, Locke forgives Ben for everything. And it does make Ben feel better. Ben then tells him he doesn't need the chair anymore, and Locke emerges from it, and walks into the church. Just then, Hurley comes out of the church and Ben tells him he isn't going in. Before Hurley returns, he tells Ben that he was a really good "Number Two", to which Ben responds that Hugo was a great "Number One".

Jack and Kate pull up to the church. She tells him that she brought him here because this is where Jack was going to have his fathers funeral. He can go in through the side, and she'll be waiting for him, "ready to leave".

Jack goes inside. He find's Christian Shephard's coffin. He touches it, and he has another memory flash. He opens the coffin, and finds it empty. Christian is behind him. Jack wonders how his dead father could be here, and Christian wonders how his son could be here. Jack realizes he is dead, and is very emotional at this realization. Christian explains that he is real, Jack is real, everything that happened to him is real, and everyone in the church is real. They all created this place to find each other after they died. Everyone in the church is dead- some died before Jack, some long after him. The most important part of Jack's life was the time he spent with these people. Jack needed all of them, and they needed Jack. They needed to remember, let go, and "move on". Jack wants to know where, and Christian responds, "Let's find out".

At this point, there is only one last line spoken. The musicsl montage begins as Jack goes into the church and evryone is there. Rose. Bernard. Sayid. Shannon. Boone. Sun. Jin. Claire with baby Aaron. Charlie. Desmond. Penny. Libby. Hurley. Juliet. Sawyer. John Locke. Kate. They all begin to embrace each other and are happy they are finally reunited. John Locke speaks the last line of the show and tells Jack, "We've been waiting for you". After a time, they all take their seats in pews in a simialr seating arrangement as a plane. Christian walks down the asile, and after pausing at Jack, continues and opens the doors of the church. White light pours in over everyone, and they are all absorbed by light.

This emotional ending is mixed with Jack's final moments. He was washed out of the Source cavern, and walks around in pain. He passes through the bamboo forest, past the white sneaker hanging in a tree that we saw in The Pilot episode. He lies down in the spot he woke up after the crash. He hears a noise, and Vincent comes running over to him and lies down next to him, proving "Live together, Die alone". As he stares overhead, Ajira 316 is seen carrying his friends home.

He smiles. His eyes close.

The End.

Lost: The End of a Journey

It's been almost 2 weeks since "The End" has aired. During that time, I, like many Lost fans have been processing the epic journey we have witnessed. There's so much to process. There are so many perspectives to look at the final episode of Lost. So, over the next few weeks, we will look at all of Season 6. I will be putting the Final Season of Lost in chrnological order, including the flashsideways. After that, my Lost columns will not end. There are still plenty of things to talk about, as well as the highly anticipated DVD/Bu-ray release of "Lost: Season 6". My Lost columns will still be online Wednesdays, for as long as there are Wednesdays. Tomorrow, I will begin with a recap of "The End".

Today is the Day. We've reached the end, folks.

I for one am feeling a broad range of emotions. Happiness, sadness, anxiety, confusion, and emotions I can't explain in words.

I began watching Lost between Seasons 3 and 4. And it's one of the best things I have ever done. Lost has been an incredible journey, and the characters and mythology are unlike anything else.

Enjoy the finale, everyone. Though Lost will end tonight, it will always be with us.

FF: "Countdown"

Well, today is the day. April 29, 2010. The day the world flashforwarded to. So what's going to happen? Will all the flashforwards come true? None of them? Only a few? Flashforward, which has officially been cancelled, has danced around this all season, err, series. Now we will finally see.

Mark began talking to suspect Lucas Hellinger about the flashforwards, but recieved some starling news: in every future he saw, Mark died. And if the man isn't released, he will die.

Previous 123 The tachyon constant is a theoretical number/particle that appears in something Hellinger drew as well as the blueprints left by Dyson Frost. There’s a company called Tachyon Offsite Information Systems that warehouses data. Mark wants to storm the building, but Wedeck and Vogel worry it’s a trap. They’re right. Mark demands answers from Hellinger, who knows exactly how to push his buttons. Hellinger says over and over that Mark is going to die today and that Charlie will be better off without him. This sends Mark into a rage, and he beats up the dude. Wedeck sends him out of the FBI uilding after that.

Meanwhile, Zoe is excited that Demitri has decided to come with her to Hawaii. But Demitri, feeling guilty and overburdened, tells Zoe that he got Janis pregnant in Somalia. Zoe is mad and needs time to process things. She's going to Hawaii, but without her fiance. Ouch.

Bryce and Nicole have finally begun their relationship and are planning to spend Flashforward Day together. That is, until Nicole decides to tell the truth as well. She discovered that the woman in his flashforward, Kieko, is in a detention center. She didn't want to tell him because she was afraid he would choose the Asian over her. But Bryce still wants to see her anyway. Will he be able to see her? She and her mom have an 11:00 flight back home.

In Afghanistan, the Arab doctor tried to save Tracy's life as Aaron looked on. But he wasn't able to. In the room where Aaron's flashforward revealed that his daughter was alive, it appears that it won't come true.

Simon wants Janis to get him access to the mainframe of the linear accelerator. When Demetri shows up at her front door, Janis wants him to pretend that he never came by. That’s not gonna happen. At first he wants to take the fugitive scientist in, but then Dem realizes it may be best to help Janis and Simon complete their mission.

Lloyd thinks he may be on the verge of a breakthrough in his research. He desperately wants to be with Olivia. He believes certain conditions must be met today. Olivia needs to be at her house with him at 10 p.m., but she is driving somewhere else with Charlie. As Lloyd and Dylan stand outside the Benford home, Olivia tells him via cell phone that she will not be with him in that house tonight.

Mark spends the rest of the day walking around as Flashforward day celebrations occur. A man who gave up drinking approaches mark and gives him a flask. And with that, Mark gives up his sobriety and everything he worked so hard to achieve. The temptation was too much. Mark continues drinking at a bar, and gets into a fight. He ends up in jail. So will he end up at the FBI building?

Where is this all going? And with the news that Flashforward has been cancelled, will the show end properly?

V: "Red Sky"

As one of the first TV finales of the year, V went of in... an unusal way. I enjoyed the finale, but I was expecting something a bit more... cliffhanger-y. The finale was great, but the end was wierd. Let's recap.

A lot was going down during the finale. Anna's army of soldier were preparing to hatch from their eggs. Val was in labor aboard the ship. And Fifth Column on land and in air were planning a massive retaliation. Oh, and Anna and Lisa invitesd Erica and Tyler over for dinner. All these paths would cross.

Ryan was enraged when he found out Anna had Val. But she promised to deliever the baby safely and return her to him. The labor was intense, but both the mother and baby survived. However, Anna had other plans. She kept the baby, and has Val killed. She claims that the doctors did everything they could, but couldn't save the mother. Ryan is hurt, but Anna manages to pull him into her bliss and convinces him otherwise. She then shows him his child. As he holds it, the baby (what the hell is it?) wraps its tail around Ryan's thumb. Odd...

On the ground, Marcus (Anna's right-hand goon) approaches Hobbes to work for him and infiltrate the Fifth Column. He threatens him with some photo... to be revealed next season. Damn you hiatus!

Erica's invitation to dinner is a great opportunity to kill destroy all those egss she learned about. Joshua will create a diverision to allow her to get into the chamber and destroy them. Joshua then aks Lisa for help, which she refuses. Father Jack uses Chad Decker to deliver a message to the medical bay aboard the mothership. Joshua refuses the message knowing that Chad can’t be trusted. But when his partner Samuel sends a message to other Fifth Column members, they are both exposed as traitors in a trap set by Anna. Joshua is held captive in a blue energy chamber and tries to convince Chad to help him. Chad doesn't believe him. That is, until he witnesses V testing on humans. I think that's enough to make any one convinced that the Vs are bad.

After finding out Joshua has been captured, Lisa gives Erica a blue energy egg to destroy the eggs. She says that she will help create a diversion, allowing Erica to destroy them. She frees Joshua, who refers to Lisa as his "Queen".

Erica sneaks into the room and destroys the eggs. An enormous explosion occurs, but she is able to escape. Erica then runs and catches up with Joshua. He convinces her that the only way she will not be tracked back to the eggs is if she kills him. She is reluctant to do so, but doesn't have a choice. She shoots and kills him.

Anna approaches Erica and lies to her, saying that a human stole a V uniform and was the culprit. Erica once again promises to destroy Fifth Coulmn. But that doesn't comfort Anna after discovering what happened with her eggs. When she finds out only 12 are left, she screams in agony. She has no idea what's come over her. But Marcus does. He says that it is her first human emotion.

Sometime later, members of the Fifth Column gather at Father Jack's church. Against wishes from the pastor, the constantly-conflicted Father Jack Landry finally speaks from his heart to his congregation by denouncing the Visitors as false prophets. Many parishioners walk out during his heartfelt homily, but some stay. Jack asks others to stand with him in this war for their souls. Erica is the first to rise. Hobbes stands, too. Also on his feet in the back of the church is Chad Decker. Jack says, “Let V no longer stand for Visitor. Let V stand for victory.”

Meanwhile, Anna wants revenge. And in an act of vengence, we see the V armada near the Earth. They are able to be undetected by Earth technology. The sky quickly turns to red for some unkown reason. Aboard the ship, Marcus revives Joshua? Why? Maybe for more info on Fifth Column. Anyway, as people of Earth wander outside, similarly to how they acted in the Pilot, they are shocked at what they see.

So, is this the start of the war?

Lost: "What They Died For"

Well folks, what seemed like an eternity flew right by. And I'm not talking about Jack's faith. The finale is almost upon us. Come Sunday, millions of people will be glued to their TVs at parties, bedrooms, or living rooms watching the final episode of Lost. It's too close. But as for the penultimate episode of Lost, all I can say is: Oh. My. God. It was an incredible episode.

No matter what you thought of the flashsideways, you must admit it is pretty interesting right now. I still have no idea what the hell is going on, but I'm sure that we will find out on Sunday. But, it seems like all of the characters will meet up together at a concert. From there, I'm not sure what will happen.

Jack wakes up in the flashsideways and finds that peculiar cut he had on his neck in "LA X" still there. I currently have no theories on the cut, but it must have meaning. Anyway, he sits down to breakfast with David and Claire when he gets a call from someone stating they have found Christian. However, this is not true. Desmond is the one speaking to Jack. Why? TBD.

Locke returns to school, and is warmly greeted by students. However, Desmond is watching him again. This time Dr. Linus spots him, and threatens to call the police. Desmond then gets out of the car and punches Ben in the face. Ben has flashes of getting punched in the face in the original timeline, and is left confused after Desmond tells him he was trying to help Locke "let go". Later, as Ben is being treated by the nurse, Locke wheels in and questions Ben. Ben says he "saw something" as Locke's would-be-"Killer" beat him. Ben believes Des was telling the truth when he said he wanted to help Locke.

Meanwhile, at the LAPD, Desmond arrives and asks to speak to a detective because he is going to confess for Locke's hit and run. He is put in a holding cell alongside Sayid and Kate. Meanwhile, Miles tells Sawyer about Dr. Chang's benefit concert at the museum, but Sawyer passes when he finds out his blind date Charlotte will be there.

Back at the school, Dr. Linus is in a sling and can't drive. Alex Rousseau sees him, and comes running over. She invites him to come with her and her mother and stay for dinner. Danielle Rousseau then exits the car and says that she insits Ben stay home, "even if we have to kidnap you". (BTW, best line of the episode!"). At their house, Ben inquires about Alex's dad, only to find out he died when she was young. Danielle reveals that he is the closest thing to a father for Alex, and Ben is touched. He cries a little, too.

Locke then goes to see Jack. He tells him about all the "coincidences" that were happening-meeting people on the plane, being hit by someone who beat Ben, etc.- and believes this is happening for a reason and Jack is supposed tp fix him. Then Jack suggests he is mistaking coincidence for fate. Locke decides he is finally ready to get out of his wheelchair.

Finally, we end the flashsideways with the transport of Desmond, Kate, and Sayid to prison. Desmond reveals that he paid the officer off with help from Hugo, and if Kate and Sayid do one thing for him, he'll let them go. Kate and Sayid agree, and the officer, revealed to be Ana Lucia (!) lets them go in exchange for $125,000. Sayid goes with Hurley, and Kate goes with Des. He reveals that they're going to a concert.

Back on the Island, Jack fixes Kate's shoulder. They are still sad after the previous night's events. Kate decides they have to kill Flocke. Jack replies, "I know". Jack convinces everyone to go find Desmond in the well. If Flocke wants Desmond dead, then they are going to need him. Sawyer wonders why he didn't kill Desmond as they hike, to which Jack replies that maybe it's against the "rules". Sawyer then wonders if he killed Jin, Sun, Sayid, (and Frank). Unlike Sawyer blaming Jack for Juliet's death earlier this season, Jack doesn't blame Sawyer at all, stating that Flocke killed them.

As they hike, Hurley sees that mysterious boy. The boy asks for Jacob's ashes, stating "their mine". So, the boy is a manifestation of Jacob. So is the brunet the Man in Black? TBD. The boy grabs them an runs. Hurley then comes across Jacob, who is buring the ashes. He reveals that when the fire goes out, he will never be seen again. He also states "We are very close to the end".

Meanwhile, Ben, Richard, and Miles finally arrive at the Barracks. So apparently, it was Widmore who hooked up the C4 on the plane because they were still looking for it. As miles goes near the swing set, he senses something. Richard reveals that this is where he burried Alex after Ben left. Ben thanks him. Inside his old house, Ben goes into the secret room, where Miles sees the portal to the place where he can summon the moster, though Ben realizes that the monster was always summoning him. They then hear a strange noise in the kitchen. It's Zoe. Widmore waltzes in and tells Zoe to sink the boats so Flocke won't know about them. Widmore notes the explosives, and reveals that he had rigged the plane since his arrival and is 'three steps ahead" of him as usual. He explains that after the frieghter icident, Jacob came to Widmore and helped him see the error of his ways and needed him to return for "this exact purpose". But we don't find out what that is, because Zoe interrupts, stating that Flocke has arrived.

She is ordered to return, and Miles runs. Widmore and Zoe hide in Ben's "closet" while Ben and Richard wait for him. The smoke monster then appears and knocks Richard into some trees. Is Richard dead? I hope not, and doubt it. Locke needs Ben to kill some people, to which Ben agrees to do so. Ben then tells Flocke about Widmore. They enter the house and find Widmore and Zoe. Flocke wants to know who Zoe is, but Widmore tells her to not say anything. Seeing her as useless, Flocke slits her throat. Flocke then tells Widmore he will get off the Island, and the first thing he will do is kill Penny Widmore if he doesn't tell him why he is here. Widmore, afraid for Penny's life, says he brought Desmond back because of his unique resistance to electromagnetism and that he was a measure of last resort. He refuses to say more in front of Ben, and whispers to Flocke the rest. Ben is enraged, and shots him stating, "He doesn't get to save his daughter". But it's ok, because Flocke already got is answers.

At night, Hurley leads Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to Jacob. Amazingly, they can all see him for some reason. Jacob explains that a very long time ago he made a mistake, and as a result there is a good chance that everyone is going to die. He acknowledges that he is responsible for the current state of the Man in Black. He expalins that The Monster has been trying to kill him and that when it succeeded, someone would have to replace him: that is why he brought them all to the Island. Challenged by Sawyer, Jacob explains that he didn't drag anyone out of a happy existence but that they were all flawed. He says that he chose them because they were all like him - all alone, all looking for something that they couldn't find. He says he chose them because they needed the Island as much as the Island needed them. Jacob tells Kate her name was crossed off because she became a mother, but that she is not disqualified. He explains that the task for the candidate is to protect the light at the center of the Island. And it needs a protector. He gaves them all a choice of who will be that protector. Jack accepts the job, knowing that it his his purpose. He must do what Jacob couldn't do: kill The Monster. Jacob isn't even sure how to do this.

Jacob takes Jack to a small river. He tells Jack that the Heart of The Island is located near the bamboo forest where he woke up in The Pilot episode and will now be able to find it. Jacob recites and incantation over a cup of water from the river and Jack drinks it. Jacob tells him, "No you are like me". So Jack is ageless now, too? Could you imagine him living until the year 4000?

Flocke then leads Ben to the well, but Desmond is gone. Someone let him out. Who? Well, I won't spoil you, but I know who didn't let him out based on the sneek peaks on abc.com. But Flocke is cool with this. Desmond was Jacob's "failsafe" if the Candidates failed. And when he finds Desmond, he will do something he was never able to do himself: Destroy the Island.

Lost: "Across the Sea"

I must say, I was shocked when I heard some of the reviews of "Across the Sea". I loved it! It was a great episode which was comprised of an enitre flashback to the emergence of Jacob and The Man in Black. So let's recap!

The episode began with wreck. Not from the sub because there were no submarines in Roman times. 2000 years ago, a very pregnant woman named Claudia washed up on the shores of the Island. A mysterious woman appeared to her and offered to help her. She began treating her wounds, and answering some questions in Latin. The woman revealed that she was the only one on the Island and also arrived "by accident". The woman finally tells Claudia that her questions will only lead to more questions, and she should stop. And then the baby comes. It's a boy. Claudia names him Jacob. But just then, another boy pops out. Shocked, Claudia tells the woman she only picked out one name. Jacob is wrapped in light cloth while his twin is wrapped in dark cloth. When Claudia asks to see the babys, the woman appoligizes and kills her. And so, their mother is dead, and The Man in Black is never named. Who called it earlier this season?

Thirteen years later, The Boy in Black, destined to become known as MiB, finds an Egyptian game on the beach and teaches Jacob how to play. The woman, who I will refer to as Jacob and MiB refer to her, "Mother", is told about the game by Jacob though his brother. She approaches The Boy in Black about the game, and tells him that unlike Jacob, he is "special". She left the game for him, and it didn't come from "across the sea" like the Boy in Black thought because there is nothing beyond the sea. And when the Boy in Black asks about death, Mother responds it's something he will never have to deal with.

But sometime later, Jacob and his brother were hunting boars when they came across men who hunted them first. Jacob and his brother were shocked, for Mother always told them no one else was on the Island. But she recants this, stating that this people are unlike them, for they are here for a purpose. The Others (the origin of the present day others, perhaps?) are dangerous because they come, they fight, they destroy, they corrupt and it always ends the same. But Jacob and his brother will never be able to hurt each other.

She brings them to a bright light inside a cave, which as we'll learn later is the source of all the electromagnetic energy on the Island. This is why they're there. They must protect this light because a little bit of this light is inside every man, and if it goes out, it will go out everywhere. And so, a major mystery of the Island is solved. And when Mother is gone, either Jacob or his brother will have to protect it.

Later, while plaing the Egyptian game, Claudia appears to the Boy in Black and takes him to see her people. She reveals she is actually is mother and he comes from "across the sea". The Boy in Black is furious, and invites Jacob to leave with him. Jacob becomes very angry and punches the Man in Black in a fit of rage. Mother stops the fight, and Jacob tells her of the Boy in Black's plans. She tells him that whatever he has been told, he cannot leave the Island. But he says he will disprove her and leaves after Mother admits to killing Claudia. Jacob agrees to stay even though he feels unloved. But Mother tells him she loves them in different ways.

Thirty years later, Jacob as he commonly appears goes to his brother who appears in the Man in Black form. They talk over a game of Senet. The Man in Black tells him that even though Mother may be crazy, she is right about the people. He says they are greedy, manipulative, untrustworthy and selfish. He explains he stays with them as a means to an end, that is, to leave. And he has discovered away to leave the Island. There are spots all over the Island where metal behaves oddly, and the people dig wells. And even though he cannot find the cave with the light, that light is found beneath the Island in one of the wells.

Jacob tells Mother this, and she goes to see him. The Man in Black explains everything to Mother, and tells her that the people have rigged a device to allow them to leave using mechanincs, water, the light, and a large wheel. This wheel will become the Frozen Donkey Wheel, and will be the one Locke and Ben turn to move the Island. Mother feigns a goodbye hug, but bashes his head on the wall of the well instead, knocking him out. He awakens to find the well dug in, all the people gone, and the village burned. Now, he's mad and she knows it.

She goes to Jacob and makes him promise to take care of the light, wich is "life, death, rebirth, and the heart of the Island". She pours him some wine with an incantation, and makes Jacob drink. She then tells him that she was wrong all the time, and Jacob was the special one. She tells him, "Now you and I are the same".

Mother's camp in the caves is ransacked. As she goes to pick up the game, she is stabbed in the back by The Man in Black. As she dies, The Man in Black asks why he couldn't leave. She responds, "Because I love you. Thank you". And she dies. Why is she thanking him? I think we'll find out soon. My gut feeling tells me she was the original smoke monster. But we'll see...

Jacob returns and is horrified. He attacks The Man in Black and then drags him through the jungle. Jacob cannot kill him, but looks to something worse than death. Jacob throws him into the stream, and the Man in Black hits his head as he is sucked up into the source. Moments later, the smoke moster comes billowing out of the source and goes into the jungle.

Jacob then sees his brother's body over the branches nearby. He takes it and is very upset. He takes the body to The Caves and lays his brother next to his mother. He takes two stones- one light, one dark- from the Senet game and places them in a pouch, and places it in his mother's hand.

Several days after the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Jack, and Kate find the two bodies. Locke calls these two "Our very own Adam and Eve". Shocking me, it turns out The Man in Black and his mother are Adam and Eve.

Lost: "The Candidate"

In what was the deadliest hour of Lost since the Pilot, "The Candidate" left all of us with intense emotions. We lost major characters who have been with us since September 22, 2004. But, let's start with the flashsideways.

Jack was able to save Locke. While in the hospital, the two talk about being on Flight 815. Jack then reveals to Locke that he may be a candidate: for a medical treatment that could allow him to walk. Locke denies this offer. Jack wants to learn what happened to Locke to cause his paralysis, and goes to Locke's dentist, Bernard Nadler, for info. Bernard also lets Jack know they were on Flight 815 together. Bernard refuses to help him, but decides to send him to "Anthony Cooper", who also was in the accident with Locke.

Jack tracks him down where Locke's fiance, Helen, is there. She warns against Jack seeing Anthony, but Jack insists. Jack and the audience is surprised to see that Anthony Coopper, who is amongst the most evil men on Lost, is now in a vegetative state. And that's why Locke will not have the surgery.

Back at the hospital, Jack is by Locke's bedside as he murmurs "Push the button...I wish you would have believed me". Claire walks in, and Jack leaves to talk to her. She shows him the music box Christian wanted her to have. She also inquires as to how her father had died. He recounts that Christian drank himself to death in Australia, and he had to bring his body back. Claire prepares to leave, but Jack offers to live with him because they're family. And she agrees.

When Locke is finally ready to be discharged, Jack tells him he knows about Anthony. Locke then tells him what happened. Locke got his pilot's license, and Anthony was his first passenger. But, they crashed. Anthony was left catatonic while Locke was left paralyzed. Jack reminds Locke of their conversation at the airport helped him come to terms with his father, and now Jack will help him come to terms with his father via the surgery. Locke still refuses, to which Jack replies "I wish you believed me". He then exits.

But whatever happened in the flashsideways was easily overshadowed by the on-Island stuff. Sun, Jin, Kate, Sawer, Claire, Hurley, and Frank were captured by Widmore and put in the polar bear cages. Flocke recruits Jack and Sayid to help him them escape. Jack shuts down the power for the Island, allowing Flocke to attack in the form of the smoke monster. He kills several of Widmore's goons while Jack runs to save the traped Losties. They reunite with Sayid, and head to the plane, where a angry Flocke kills gaurds in the plane and finds C4 bombs strapped to the plane. Uh-oh.

When the Losties arrive, Flocke explains the plane is not safe due to the bomb, and they will have to take the sub. Jack agrees to help, but still refuses to leave the Island. As they leave, Sawyer pulls Jack aside and tells him to push Flocke into the water as they leave because he doesn't trust him.

At the dock, Flocke asks Jack to reconsider, stating that whoever told Jack they needed to stay was wrong. Jack replies "John Locke told me I needed to stay" and pushed him into the water. As Kate watches, she is shot in the shoulder by one of Widmore's goons. Jack runs and brings her into the sub, and orders Sawyer to get Clarie. He tries, but sees that she is too busy shooting and orders the ship to leave. Claire is furious, but Flocke tells her it the sub isn't safe. And with that, the growing feeling of dread builds. But what happens next is shocking.

Kate needs first help, but it's put on hold when Jack finds a bomb in Jack's pack. Jack realizes they have done exactly what Flocke wanted them to do so he could kill them all. The sub begins its assent to the surface, but it would never make it in time. Sayid tries to help them diffuse the bomb. However, Jack offers another plan: don't do anything. He thinks that diffusing the bomb will kill them, and Flocke cannot kill them. Sawyer doesn't listen, and pulls the plug on the bomb. The timer stops momentarily, then quickly counts down. Uh-oh.

Sayid takes the bomb and tells Jack that Desmond is alive on the Island in a well. He tells Jack "It is going to be you" then runs down the sub's passage as the bomb explodes in his hand. And with that, Sayid finds redemption by trying to save his friends. After all the bad things he has done, he is redeemed. But Sayid will not be the only death of the night. As the sub sinks, Frank shouts "Ah, hell" as he is overcome with water. And true to Frank's personality, his last words are a one-liner.

Jack orders Hurley to take Kate up to the beach, which he does. Unfortunately, Sun is trapped. Jin, Jack, and Sawyer struggle to free her but Sawyer is knocked out. Jack grabs him, but Jin orders him to save Sawyer. Jack has a long final look at the doomed couple, and leaves. Jin cannot get Sun free, but refuses to listen to her pleas for him to go. He holds her and refuses to leave her again. His daughter is safe with her grandmother and an attempt to get to the surface is slim to none. Jin decides to die next to the wife he loves. The final shot shows their hands drifting apart in death. I was speechless. And yes, I cried.

At the beach, Jack tells Hurley and Kate that Jin and Sun didn't make it. Hurley and Kate cry together as Jack leaves and sobs by the ocean. Meanwhile, that Son of a Bitch Flocke takes a shocked and saddened Claire to "finish what he started".

Lost: "The Last Recruit"

*Editor's Note: Hey everybody! I've been really swamped between the SAT and upcoming AP Exams at school. Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I'll be posting more in a few weeks. Until then, I'll only be posting my Lost columns. Sorry for the inconvienence!

So, who is the last recruit? I was under the impression that the episode would be a Jack centric, and I doubted that the Man of Faith we know as Jack would give into Flocke's crazy scheme. But I was surprised to see that the flashsideways focused on everyone. And, in a cool twist, it appears all of thier destinies are becoming intertwined with each other in the flashsideways. Pretty cool, right?

The show started out with Locke being rushed to the hospital with Ben at his side after being hit by Desmond. Once they get to the hospital, Sun also arrives with Jin. Remember, Sun was shot in "The Package" and is also pregnant. However, Sun looks over at Locke and appears to recognize him. She begins shouting "It's him" as she is taken inside to be helped. Later in the episode, we find out that her surgery was a success, and her and the baby are going to be okay.

In the police station, Sawyer is seen talking to Kate while the feds are on their way to pick up the fugitive. Miles then calls him over, and informs him of a double homicide at a restaurant. He then shows him camera footgage of the suspect leaving the scene: Sayid. Sayid goes back to Nadia's house and prepares to leave when Miles arrives to ask Nadia a few questions. Sayid leaves out the back door, but is captured by Sawyer.

Meanwhile a pregant Claire goes to an adoption agencey. But Desmond is there, and convinces her to see a lawyer first. She complies, and Desmond takes her to the office of Ilana Verdansky (!). She's been looking for her. Why? Well, as Jack and David Shephard arrive at the same office for the reading of Christian's will. (It's also interesting to note that their relationship is much better now than before). Ilana greets them and informs Jack that she has found Claire Littleton, who is Christian's daughter. He is speechless, until he gets a emergency call from the hospital, and must go. He takes David to the hospital while he prepares to operate on Locke. He sees Locke's reflection in a mirror and is taken aback. He tells the other surgeon "I think I know this guy".

On the Island, we are treated to the conversation we've been waiting for all season. Flocke and Jack discuss things in private. Even though Jack knew of this, he is still amazed. Flocke tells Jack that he took Locke's form because Locke was stupid enough to persue the Island until it got him killed and Jack brought the body back in a coffin so Flocke was able to impersonate him. Jack then asks if he impersonated his father, Christian, in "White Rabbit". Flocke says he did, but I'm not buying it. Why? There's a lot of errors. Christian appeared to Michael on the freighter, and he can't fly over the water. Also, Christian appeared to Locke in the Frozen Donkey Wheel Chamber under the Orchid hundreds of years before Christian's body found its way to the Island. Plus, the Man in Black loves to "help" people, but refused to help an injured John Locke move the Island's wheel. Why would he lie? To get his final recruit, Jack.

Jack and Claire then catch up, their first meeting since "The Beginning of the End". and the first time they meet knowing they are half-siblings. Warm and fuzzy, ain't it? Anyway, Claire asks if Flocke told him he appeared as their father, which directly contradicts Claire telling Jin that (paraphrasing) first her father told her the Others took Aaron, then her friend (Flocke) told her that. She then tells him that because Locke talked to him, Jack has to go with Locke. Why? TBD.

As Sawyer plans to leave on Widmore's sub, Zoe appears and threatens to blow everyone up if "The Package" (aka Desmond) isn't returned by nigthfall. Flocke then decides it is time to leave, and as they go to depart for the boat to take them to Hydra Island, he sends Sayid on a mission to kill Desmond. Sayid goes to the well, and I think Desmond is able to convince Sayid not to trust the Man in Black. But I'm not sure. Sayid later tells Flocke that he killed Des, But I doubt it.

Flocke leaves to find Sayid, and The Losties (minus Claire) make a run for it to the Elizabeth, Desmond's boat. Sawyer refuses to take Claire because she is now "crazy". Claire follows them to the boat, and holds them up at gunpoint. But Kate talks Claire down and states that if Claire isn't going, she isn't going. Claire is allowed on board, but states that "He's going to be mad". And I'm sure Flocke will be!

On their way to Hydra Island, Jack and Sawyer finally converse. But Jack realizes that they aren't suppose to leave. He tells Sawyer that he remembers how he felt after he left the Island. He hated it. They're supposed to do something and have a purpose on the Island. Sawyer is furious with Jack and tells him to get off his boat because there is no room on board for "that crazy talk". Jack reaffirms his postion as the Man of Faith, apologizes for getting Juliet killed, and jumps off the boat. He swims back to the Main Island as Kate tells Sawyer they have to go back for him. But Sawyer refuses.

The group arrive on Hydra Island, where they are greeted by Widmore's team. Jin comes out of the trees, and Sun is overjoyed to see him. They run towards each other. I must say I thought they were going to get zapped by that Sonar fence, so I was so worried they were going to die. But luckily, the fence was turned off, and their reunion left me tearing up and smiling. The restate their love for each other, and Sun is able to speak english again, as Frank points out to everyone.

But their reunion is cut short as Zoe tells them to get on the ground. She tells her people to "fire when ready". Back on the Main Island, Jack is greeted by a menacing looking Flocke who sees Sawyer has taken his boat. Just then, Flocke's group is fired upon, and Flocke takes Jack to a place for cover, stating "You're with me now".

Lost: "Everybody Loves Hugo"

*Editor's Note: I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but my grandfather has been in the hospital. He had a pace maker put in. I'm going to skip last week's scheduled posts, and instead focus on this week's. Sorry for the inconvienece!

With only 4 episodes left until the big finale, the end of Lost is appraching at a fast pace. Last night's episode revelaed some interesting info, answered a few questions, and is making me wait in agony for the next episode. So, let's go!

In the flashsiedways, Hurley is not unlucky. At least, tht's what he says (hehehe). We see a montage of him being a philanthropist and assisting the poor. He even finances part of Dr. Chang's museum, where a palentology wing will be named after him. After the party, Hugo's mom congratulates him, but then sets him up on a blind date.

I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking "It's gonna be Libby". I thought that, too. Hurley was sitting in the restaurant, and sure enough, Libby walks over. Libby knew his name and wanted to talk to him. She was not his date. She was from a mental institution, and the doctor came over and took her away.

Moody, Hurley goes to a Mr. Cluck's and orders a bucket of fried chicken. He eats as Desmond watches him, and soon approaches him. Hurely tells him that he is depressed because the girl he met (Libby) was crazy. Desmond tells him to give her a chance, and leaves. And Hurley follows that advice.

Hugo goes to Santa Rosa, but the Doctor is unwilling for Hurley to talk to her. After a little persuasion (money!), he agrees. Libby tells him that she saw him on TV, and memories come flashing back to her- from another life. They were in a plane crash, and lived together on an Island. Hurley has no idea what she is talking about, but wants to take her on a date. They go to the beach, talk, then kiss. And that's when it happens.

Hurley is flooded with memories of them on the Island, and no longer believes she is crazy. Desmond watches this from his car, and leaves. Where? To a school, where something shocking occurs...

On the Island, Hurley is at Liby's grave when Michael appears after The Whispers are heard. He says that he is here to stop Hurley from killing everybody with the dynamite intended to blow up Ajira 316. A lot of people will die, and it will be Hurley's fault.

Ilana is carrying the dynamite in a pack. When Hurely tells her not to use the dynamite, she replies that Jacob told her to listen to Richard, and Richard said to blow up the plane. They cannot let the Man in Black leave. As she says this, she drops the pack, and is killed as it explodes. It was sad and unexpected, because I liked Ilana. She was smart, mysterious, and good looking. Alas, this would not be the last surprise explosion of the evening...

Richard says they must get more dynamite and Hurley agrees. However, as they arrive, the group realizes Hurley is not there. He then comes running towards them, yelling at them to stay away. Just then, the Black Rock explodes. This left me shocked that such an important place in Lost that we have seen since Season 1 was destroyed. To me, it solidifys the fact that the season is coming to an end. Hurley says Jacob told him to do it, but Richard says he is lying because Jacob never tells anyone what to do. He then leads Miles and Ben to the Barracks to get explosives. Hurley leads Sun, Jack, and Frank to Flocke. Later, Sun and Frank think they may have made a mistake.

Hurley admits to Jack Jacob wasn't talking to him, and that he may have made a mistake. Jack tells him that he listened to Hurley beacuse it's time to stop fixing things and start letting go. Just then, the Whispers are heard, and Hurley goes to see Michael. Michael reveals that the source of the whispers are dead souls who cannot move on. While this answers one of the big questions, much more info is needed on the whispers. He also tells Hurely to not get himself killed, and if he sees Libby, to tell her how very sorry he is.

Meanwhile, Sayid returns with Desmond to Flocke. Flocke then says he wants to show him something. On their way to the place, Desmond and Flocke see the mysterious boy that was seen in "The Substitute". This time, the boy has brown hair. He just stands there smiling and runs off.

Desmond is taken to a well, similar to the one outside the Orchid. It's not the smae one, though. Locke explains that years ago, it was built by people seeking answers as to why their compasses would spin like crazy over the spot. He then pushes Desmond into the well, and he plummets to the bottom. Dead? Doubt it.

Flocke returns to his camp, and Hurley appears. They agree to drop their respective wepons. Jack, Sun and Frank appear. Sun looks for her husband, but doesn't see him. Flocke greets Jack, and Jack looks stunned and concerned. I predict a great confronation between them in the next episode!

Finally, we end today with how the show eneded. In the flashsideways, Desmond is sitting in his car watching Locke. Dr. Linus approaches him, and asks him why he is sitting there. Desmond lies and says he is looking for a school for his son, and quickly drives away. Why was he really there? Waiting for Locke. He runs Locke down in his wheel chair and speeds away as Dr. Linus leads a group of people over to the seriously injured Locke.

The First Full World of Color Testing Video

Over at Laughing Place, they have the first full 25-minute video of World of Color. I've embeded it here for your convienece!

Is this the full thing? There seems to be important scenes and effect missing. Keep in mind, we're still 2 months away from the opening. So there's still work to be done.

But in the mean time, it's absoultely stunning. I did not watch the entire thing, because I want to be surprised. But the parts I did watch left me feeling indescribable emotions. This show is going to be unlike anything any one of us has seen before.

Amazing.

Lost: Happily Ever After

Well, he's back. And his episode, like many other Desmond episodes, confused the hell out of me. We got a pretty good sense on what the flashsideways were, but there was not much on-Island stuff. But, it was a great episode. Certainitly not the best, but great nonetheless.

Desmond was taken off the sub, very groggy after being unconscious for three days. He is confused, and calls for Penny. But Widmore tells him Penny is not there. He tells Desmond must make a sacrifice, and begind to explain the situation to him. But before he can get through to Desmond, Desmond attacks him. Widmore's goons restrain him and lead him away, all the while Desmond is screaming to take him back. To which Widmore replies "The Island is not done with you yet".

Widmore then runs into Jin, who demands to know what is going on. Widmore shows him, and takes him to a huge generator room, apparently the one that powers the Island. They are going to do some test, and though Zoe protests that they aren't ready, the test must go on. After it appears something is broken, and they must figure out what it is. A redshirt goes to figure out what the problem is outside in a ramshackle structure outside the generator building. However, inside the control room, a technician finds out what is wrong, fixes the problem, and turns the generator on. The coils inside the shack glow and emit light, and the man inside is fried. And then Desmond arrives to see the body. Yep, that's reassuring!

Desmond is tied to a chair in the structure. Before leaving, Widmore tells him that if what he heard about him is true, he will be fine. Widmore explains he knows what sacrifices are like; loosing his son to the Island, or not being able to see his daughter or grandson. And if Desmond doesn't make a sacrifice when all this is through, everyone he loves will be gone forever.

With that, he leaves as Desmond breaks loose. Desmond explains to everyone that Desmond is the only person to ever surive a catostrophic electromagnetic event, and unless he can survive another one, "we all die". And with that, the experiment is turned on. Inside the shack, Desmond is engulfed by the bright light. And it is assumed that he travels to the flashsideways timeline.

At LAX, Claire tells Desmond where to get his bags, and the two strike up a small conversation. Before leaving, Desmond tells Claire the baby will be a boy. He then goes to the limo waiting for him, driven by George Minkowski, the frieghter guy who died from temporal displacement in Season 4. He takes Desmond to his boss, who is revealed to be Charles Widmore. The two get along well, and Widmore even share the very expensive whisky. He then gives him his mission: Charlie, from Drive Shaft, was in jail for an overdose, and needs to be released to play at his son's concert. Desmond accepts, and goes to retrieve Charlie.

But Charlie doesn't want to cooperate with him. He runs initially to a bar, but Desmond meets him and they have a drink. There, Charlie tells his arrest story. Charlie explains that the Marshall saw him needing a fix, so he ran into the bathroom to eat the stash, The plane hit turbulence, and he choked on it. While unconcious, he saw a "beatuifull blonde woman" and called her "the truth". In the car, Charlie offers to show Desmond the truth, and plunges the car into water.

Underwater and facing iminant danger, Desmond frees himself, and goes to free Charlie. Charlie pushes his hand up to the window, and for a split second, Desmond see "Not Penny's Boat" written on the hand, as seen in Season 3's "Through the Looking Glass". He is able to save Charlie, and the two are taken to the hospital.

While undergoing an MRI, Desmond has another vision of the Looking Glass, and a vision of Penny, and then goes to find Charlie.He finds Jack, and reintroduces himself. Just then, Charlie comes running down the hall, and Desmond catches him. Charlie tells him to stop worrying about him and start looking for Penny.

When Widmore finds out about the Charlie incident, he makes Widmore go to Mrs. Wimdore (aka Eloise Hawking) and explain the dilema. She is excepting of the matter, and says it is no big deal. She says to him "Whatever happened, happened".

As Desmond leaves the area, he hears someone talking about Penny on a guest list for the party. He asks to see the list, by Eloise doesn't let him. He says that he has a perfect life and has finally gotten what he has alwasy wanted- Widmore's approval. He's not ready to look at the list, and it is, in fact, a violation.

While he drinks in the limo, Daniel Widmore (aka Faraday) approaches him. He tells him that a few weeks ago, he saw a redhead, and fell in love with her. He said it was though he already loved her. That same night, he drew a picture in a notebook. He had no idea what it meant, and took it to a mathmatician friend who stated it was an advanced quantum physics and would need a lifetime to understand. He tries to explain to Desmond that it is as if something catastrophic had been about to happen and the only way to stop it had been to release a huge amount of energy, like setting off a nuclear bomb. He rhetorically asks whether this life was not meant to be and whether there had been another "life" in which, for some reason, "we changed things." Desmond inquires if he wants to set off a bomb. But Daniel repiles that he thinks he already did, causing this timeline. He then tells hime where to find Penny, his half-sister.

They meet at a standium where Jack and Desmond met in the original timeline. The flirt, then Desmond passes out.

He then awakens in the shack, with only a fe seconds passing. Widmore tells him is talent is vital, and begins to explain his purpose. But Desmond interrupts, stating he knows why he is here. He has work to do, and agrees to work with Widmore. But as he is being escorted back to base, Sayid jumps out and kills everyone in Desmond's escort except for Zoe, who he lets go. He persuades Desmond to follow him, and he does. What? Why??

Desmond revives, and Penny explains he passed out. They make plans for a date, and Desmond leaves in the limo. George asks if there is anything else he can do for Desmond. Desmond responds that he wants the flight mainfest for Oceanic Flight 815, stating, "I just need to show them something."

The Fringe Files: Peter

It has been a long time since I have done a Fringe column. If you recall, I ususally have a systematic, kinda cool way to do my Fringe columnm, in the spirit of the CSI0esque vibe from the show. But because this episode was so different, I'm going to break away from this, for at least this week.

This episode finally answered all our questions about Peter. Walter tells the story to Olivia through flashbacks. To differentiate between the times (other than Walter's hair!), we were provided with '80s style lettering where the flying letters should be. The intro even was '80s-fied, with those block letters, synthesized music, and the words like "personal computer" are replace other words in the title sequence.

In the 80s, Walter built a portal to view the "other side". Why? Well, he tells the military one thing for funding. But his motives are completely different. His son Peter is deathly ill, and Walter wants to see if the Walter in the alternate universe can come up with a cure. Walter would then take the cure, and use it to save Peter in this world.

One day, Elizabeth (Walter's wife) calls him home. He comes home and reassures Peter that everything will be fine. Peter then dies while embracing his father. Peter leaves this world, leaving his family heartbroken. Nina Sharp and Carla, Walter's lab assistant, attend the funeral, though William Bell could not make it. Walter then retreats to his lab.

There, he sees something interesting. Through the window to the Other Side, Walter sees that Other Side Walter has discovered the cure. But Other Side Walter was distracted by one of The Observers and doesn't see the chemical reaction. He believes he has failed. Walter then plans to do something drastic. He recreates the cure, takes a vial of it, and plans to go to the alternate universe.

Before he crosses over, Carla notifies Nina Sharp, and together they try to stop him. But their attempt is futile. Nina tries to grab walter has he crosses over, but the device that allows this travel shuts off, leaving Nina's arm severed. In the fray, the vial containing the cure is broken. Now, there's only one thing he can do.

Walter goes to the house, where Other Side Elizabeth thinks he is really Other Side Walter. He takes Peter, the one we came to know, back to our universe to save him, with every intention of bringing him back. Togetherm they travel back.

But upon arriving, they are thrown into a frozen lake in their car. The Observer saves them in response for letting Other Side Walter's experiment go unnoticed. He explains to Walter that Peter is important, and must be saved. And Walter does save him.

Elizabeth find Peter, and he is forced to explain to her what he did. He tells her he must return Peter, but she will not have it. She wants to keep Peter, and that's where we were led today. Walter asks Olivia not to tell Peter about this.

This episode was one of the best in Fringe. It was gripping, and I nearly cried. A great episode, to be sure.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of March 29

It's been hard for the last couple of weeks to watch GH. Not that it was bad; it's the exact opposite. But it's been hard to watch Ethan get blamed for Kristina's beating when we, the audience, know that Kiefer beat her. He's slapped her around before, and doesn't seem to care that much about her.

However, there's a growing amount of people around Port Charles, save for Alexis, Sam, and Sonny, who think Ethan is innocent. They're not sure whose fault it is exactly, but many doubt it was Ethan. This left Dante and Lucky to team up together to investigate. And while investigating, it appeared as though Kiefer probably did it.

The duo met Kiefer at Kelly's, and went good-cop/bad-cop on him. They nearly had him crack, but Kiefer became furious and ran out, all the way to the Metro Court. All Kiefer cares about is going to Harvard, and doesn't want something as trivial as being arrested for Kristina's beating keeping him out. Puh-leeze. What a jackass. If all the people act like that at Harvard, I would never, ever want to go there. A bunch of rich people who don;t give a damn about girls being beat. Horrible.

His dad told him to convince Kristina to reinstate the charges. When Kiefer tried to get Kristina to bring fake charges on an innocent man to protect the ass of the real culprit, Kristina refused. And he beat her again. But this time, Alexis saw part of it. Hopefully, justice will now be served.

Before this whole incident, Kristina saw something horrible. Earlier in the week, Kristina wathced as Johnny took the stand to testify. He claimed that Sonny abused Claudia, who loved Sonny, emotionally and physically. Sonny was furious, and let his anger take over. He stated that Claudia deserved her fate. Uh-oh. When everyone was finally calmed down, a broken-down Kristina fleed the courtroom. When Sonny went to talk to her later, she related to Claudia, and turned him away.

Robin was next up on the stand. At first, her testimony seemed promising for Sonny. she talked about his character, and the whole Stone thing. But then things got ugly. Robin was forced to recount every detail of the incident at the Metro Court.

Maixe was next on the stand, and boy, did she have one hell of a week. After being with Georige's ghost for an episode, Maixe decided to live and heal. Georige left her smiling, and Spinelli was overjoyed to have her. As Maxie, Spinelli, and LuLu were hanging in her room, she was summoned to court. But court had to come to her, as she was still too sick. But the real question: will she testify that Michael was in the car with Sonny? Stay tuned...

Finally, we've had an arrival and a return on the same day. Maya Ward came to town to stay with the Quartermaines. Of course, Tracey doesn't like her. And her run in with Ethan must mean that they're destined to be together. I think that will be awesome! And Skye Quatermaine returned! She wanted to get it on with Luke, but Jax ruined that. Will Jax use Skye to make Carly jealous? I'm waiting to see how this plays out...

Finally, we end with Helena's dastardly plans. Helena was able to fake the second paternity test, and Liz is convinced that her child is a Cassidine. Helena plans to use this child to destroy the Soencers for good. Will the truth come out?

Happy Easter

Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' "

FF: "Better Angels"

Last night's episode was the best episode of FlashForward. The show has had its ups and downs, but last night featured heavy action, some interesting characters, and a mysterious plot.

Janis, Simon, Demetri, and Vogel finally got to Somalia to investiagte those odd towers that were believed to cause a blackout in the tonw in 1991. There, they come across a mysterious man named Abdi. he attacks their group posing as the relief organization "Red Panda", killing many in the group. Throughout the episode, his backstory comes into play, and proves to be intrigual to the plot.

Abdi was just a boy when foriegn men came to his village to build those towers. One day, he was out of the village, and came back to find everyone "dead". He even saw a black camel, the omen of death. He ran awaym and never came back. This turned him into the man he is today.

In Abdi's flashforward, he saw himself starting a war in the country, taking Lincoln's inagural adress about better angels. Janis thinks he is mistaken, and shows him the Mosaic website. Other Somalians saw him wearing his mother's necklace, giving the speech. But it was not about starting a war. It was about keeping unity and peace. Abdi truly believes in destiny, and Janis shows him it's his destiny to stop the war, not start it.

Abdi then agrees to help the group, and takes them to the tower. Inside, Simon explains that he made up plans for the tower, but in 1992. Somehow, someone must have stolen them. How? TBD. Later, they find a video D. Gibbons made. He was interviewing the people in the village about what they saw. Their conciousness was shifted two weeks into the future. They also discover a linear accelerator. Simon believes that this was a test for the global blackout.

But that's not the scary part. In that room, there are many skeletons. And one is wearing a necklace. It's Abdi's mother, and he becomes enraged. He balmes Simon, and is about to kill him, but Vogel shoots Abdi first. Apparently, those visions will not come true.

That night, Janis and Demetri talk. It looks like Janis' time to get pregnant is up. Demetri says that he would get her pregnant because he will most likely not be around in a few months, so it would not matter to Zoe. But it would be nice if her baby was. Did they have sex, even though Janis is gay? I guess we will find out.

Afterwards, Demetri visits Simon in the tower. Simon is rewatching the tape, but something appears at the end of the tape. It's D. Gibbons. He says, “Hello, Demetri. My name is Dyson Frost and I am recording this message in 1991. Got your attention, didn’t I?”. My reaction: WTF???

Meanwhile, back in LA, Olivia finally learns what was in Charlie's vision. Charlie was hanging with Dylan, and outside was looking outside the window. There, she saw Vogel talking on a phone to someone, saying "Mark Benford is dead". Olivia really wants to move so none of this will happen. But Mark does not. He wants his Mosaic Investigation to continue. This makes Olvia believe that this is how they will drift apart.

Unfortunately, the ratings for FlashForward are not doing so well. It is my hope that FlahsForward will be given a second chance next season. Will it? We'll have to wait and see.

V: "Welcome to the War"

V made its return to TV on Tuesday following Lost after a long hiatus. How did it hold up? Pretty well, I'd say. So, let's recap.

Last we saw the characters, Father Jack was stabbed. Ryan, a good Visitor, is involved with a human, and she is pregnant with his child. A hybrid human and V. Tyler was secretly aboard the V mothership with Anna and her daughter. And a huge armada of V ships were coming from some distant galaxy to Earth.

Father Jack was taken to a V ship to be healed. He is healed, and then injected with R6, a poisonous compound the Vs tried to plant in the flu vaccines. Throughout the remainder of the episode, he feels the effects of the R6. He feels different inside. I guess will see more of this in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Valarie is feeling strange. Her preganacy is not normal. She is incredibly hungry all the time, and even has a craving for a dead mouse she finds in a mousetrap. Ewwww!! Ryan talks to a V scientist he trusts, and she believes that nature and fate caused this pregnancy. She also reveals startling information about the R6: Anna is using this to tag humans because it emits a wavelength after injection. Pretty scary, right?

Anna uses the healing centers as the place to tag people with R6. To get people to come, she uses reporter Chad Decker as propaganda. Chad announces his "brain anarism" on TV, and the Vs can heal him. People then swarm to the healing centers.

Like Father Jack, Eric is attacked. Ryan comes to her rescue, and the V is killed. He dumps the body as Erica goes to work. Once there, one of the Vs is there to help provide a lead. Anna sent him to deflect supiscion away from the Visitors and give them an enemy. They plant "evidence" that terrorist Kyle Hobbes is the culprit. Erica knows the truth, and sees Hobbes as a powerful ally to have to fight the Vs. He can train an army, which is a plus. Not to mention the fact that this became personal once they took Tyler.

Meanwhile, Tyler is in a big room undergoing tests by the Vs. Similar to the smoke monster, this room extracts memories from Tyler. We see some of Tyler's memories, and something pretty bad happened between Erica and Tyler's dad. We'll prbably see more later. But Anna and Lisa see that Tyler has a strong bond with his mother. Lisa must calm Erica's fears to free Tyler from her, thereby fufilling Lisa's destiny. What is her destiny? TBD.

Back on Earth, Erica convinces Hobbes to come with her. There, the Resistance shows him what the Vs are really like. Eirca then goes on to tell him that they can get revenge on the people who framed him. Hobbes accepts the offer, and Erica says, "Welcome to the war".

When Tyler finally returns home, he rehashes a speech Anna told him. He insists that Erica will not lose him. He then tells her he joined the Peace Abassadors program, and shows her the jacket. However, Erica knows that it contains a recording device, and responds carefully to what he says. Smart girl, that Erica Evans.

Then something... odd happens. Anna decides that it is time to develop an army. She selects the best soldier and, um, pro-creates with him. I cannot call it sex, because that's some odd sex. But anyway, when she's done, she tells the guy. "It's done. My army is to be born. Now, my eggs need nourishment". At that moment, she shows her lizzard teeth and "swallows" the camera. SO my question- did she actually eat that guy? I felt it was implied.

Creepy....

Lost: "The Package"

This is the first episode since the premiere when all the characters are given screentime, and the plot involves all the characters. Likewise, in the Season 6 Premiere "LA X" we saw Jin getting pulled over at Customs. He had a huge stack of money ($25,000) with his watch. What was this money for? Can Sun really speak english? And is this the only "package" the episode title refers to? Let's find out!

In the flashsideways, Jin was released, though he couldn't claim the money. He and Sun left for the hotel they were supposed to meet the person Mr. Paik needed the money delievered to. When they got to the hotel, there was a huge revelation: Jin and Sun are not married! They are, however, in love, as we see Sun unbottoning her shirt in response to Jin making her button it. All I have to say is that it was a hot scene, and Sun is just as feisty in the flashsideways!

After a night of passion, the two lovers agree to run away together. Sun even has a secret bank account for such an occasion. The there's a knock at the door. Guess who's there? Keamy. He wants his payment, but is not content with just a watch. He wants his money, and seeing as though Sun or the newly found Jin cannot speak English, he brings in Mikhail to translate. After dileberation, they come to an agreement: Sun will go to the bank with Mikhail and give Keamy the money from her bank account, and Jin will go with Keamy to the restaurant. In return, Keamy will keep the relationship a secret.

At the bank, Sun is horrified to find out that no money is in the bank account. Why? Well, back at the restaurant, Keamy spilled everything to Jin. He told him that the money was sent as payment for Keamy to kill Jin after Mr. Paik found out that Jin was having an affair with his daughter. The monologue was brutal, not just because Jin had no idea what the hell was going on, but after Keamy tied him up, Jin thanked him.

Then the whole debacle with Sayid occured. After that went down, Sayid came in and gave Jin a razor to free himself. Jin escapes as Sun and Mikhail enter, and all hell breaks loose. Mikhail and Jin fight, and shots ring out. Mikhail is shot in the eye (hahaha), and when Jin turns to Sun, he sees that she was shot. As he takes her to get help, she confesses to him that she is pregnant.

So, what happens next? I have a feeling that all the flashsideways will be realised in the finale, entitled "The End". And hopefully, we'll find out why the hell they are so important. Until then, let's discuss what happened on the Island.

Flocke's camp was attacked by Widmore's posse. All the people were knocked out, and Jin was taken to Room 23. Zoe took Jin there, and explained to him (and more importantly, the audience) that Room 23 was used by the Dharma Initiative for experiments on subliminal messaging. She then went on to tell him that she was looking at Dharma maps to find pockets of electromagnetism, and found Jin's signature on them. He could help her find them. Why? TBD. But Jin refused to talk with anyone except Widmore. And what a coincidence: Widmore wanted to speak with Jin, too.

When Widmore arrives, he tells Zoe to bring "the package" from the sub. He then gives Jin a camera he found on Ajira 316 containing pictures of Jin's daughter, Ji-Yeon, who he has never met. He is overjoyed at seeing the beautiful baby, and cries. Widmore then does something surprising: he acts sincere and good. He explains to Jin that he knows what it is like to never be able to see his daughter. And if Jin and Sun are reunited, the monster would make it short-lived, because if it ever got off the Island, everything they both love would cease to exist. That is why Widmore came to the Island, though I'm not postitive that is the only reason. Anyway, Widmore brings in "the package", and it's not a "what" but a "who". And I'll save that reveal for the end?

Flocke is furious about what went down at his camp. He enlists Sayid for help to go to Hydra Island. Before they leave, Claire aproaches him to aks about the Cave wall. Seeing as how Locke says he needs all the Candidates to leave with him, she wonders if her name is on the wall. Alas, it is not, and niether is Kate's name. Flocke reassures her that there is enough room on the plane for everyone. and he needs Kate to get people to leave? Who? My guess, Jack. He has found his destiny, but Kate could come along and make him leave.

At the beach camp, Sun works in her garden. Jack comes to talk to her about destiny, but she dosen't care. She wants to be left alone. Unfortunately for her, Flocke comes and tries to convince her to come with him, because he can reunite her with Jin. Sun runs away, and as Flocke chases after her, she hits her head on a branch. When Ben finds her, she can understand english, but can't speak it.

When Richard finally returns, he tells them to pack, because they are going to the Hydra Island to destroy the Ajira plane because they can't let the Man in Black leave. Sun does not like this, for it is the only way her and her husband can get off the Island. But no one can understand her. Later, Jack comes to her with a pad so she can communicate through writing. He lets her know that he will do everything he can to get her and Jin off the Island. He offers his hand, and Sun takes it. Will he be able to? I'm so hoping for a Jin and Sun reunion, but as we get closer to the finale, the more I worry that this will not happen. But let's not lose faith yet!

Meanwhile, Flocke goes to Widmore on the Hydra Island, but cannot get across the pileons. Widmore obviously knows a lot about the MiB. MiB replies that war has just come to the Island.

At night, Sayid swims to the Sub. There, he finds out what "the package" is: Desmond Hume.

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of March 22

I come back to the GH column happy. Not only is the show great, but Skye Quatermaine, Brooke Lyn Ashton, and possibly Dillon Quatermaine are headed back to Port Charles. Add that to the more screen time Kate has been recieving and the return of Georgie (albeit in ghost form) and I have no complaints.

Ok, maybe just with the character Kristina. I really wish she would tell the truth. Her bf is a total bastard and really needs to get his anger under control. Carly, Jason, and Michael suspect it was really Kiefer who beat Kristina. Add that to the growing population who also suspect Kristina is lying, and the truth has to come out soon. Of course, you'd have to subtract the number of people who believe Kristina.

Sonny is the big person. After finding out Kristina dropped the charges on Ethan, he flipped out. His breakdown on Firday was not only scary, but played brilliantly. If I were Claire, I would really be spooked. And her witnessing this can't bare well for Sonny. His trial is already headed down the right track: to justice. And if Ethan does die now, Claire would have all the evidence she needs to lock Sonny up for good.

Sonny and Luke had several confrontations last week, and they're both protecting their respective children. Will their long friendship come to an end? Stay tuned...

I must comment on the jury. I didn't think Johnny's murder trial could be beat, with Epiphany and Mr. Q on stand. But watching Alice, who is loving being on this trial, and Coleman, who just doesn't care. Comedy gold right here! Oh, and while on that topic, the new waiter at Sonny's restaurant is hilarious!

Before I finish up, I'd like to touch base on the Maxie/Spinelli debacle. While annoying last week, seeing Maxie dying has been touching and sad. And when Georgie appeared, offering Maxie the chance to live or die, I was predicting some great scenes ahead.

We'll see if I'm right.

Lost: "Ab Aeterno"

"Ab Aeterno" is Latin for "From the beginning of time". Naturally, many people suspected this to be a Richard episode. My theory was that Richard was one of the first inhabitants on the Island, the original Other, and he was originally from Egypt. Would this theory hold its own? Well, no. But what was probably the most anticipated episode to date failed to disappoint. My high expectations were met, and "Ab Aeterno" takes its rightful place amongst my 10 favorite Lost episodes.

We were treated to flashbacks that spanned almost the entire show. An unrelated flashback opened the show, featurind the flashabck where Ilana and Jacob meet in the hospital. Jacob explains to Ilana that what she has been preparing for her whole life is finally needed. She has to protect the six remaining candidates. She must bring them to The Temple, then seek out Ricardus, for he will know what to do.

Ilana explains this to everyone sitting around a campfire. Upon hearing this, Richard laughs at the thought, for he doesn't know what the hell he was to do. Richard explains that they are all dead, and the Island is hell. He then notifys everyone to stop listening to Jacob, and start listening to someone else. Who? The Man in Black, of course! Jack was curious who it was, and Sun told him "Locke". Jack looked shocked, but Ben explained that "it's not exactly Locke".

Ben lets Ilana know that going after Richard is useless, for he knows nothing. He then tells everyone that Richard doesn't age. And as Hurley appears to talk to some unknown dead person, Richard's story is finally revealed.

We flashback to the Tenerife, Canary Islands in 1867. Ricardo's wife is very sick. Before leaving for help, Isabella gives him her cross necklace. Riding through a storm, Ricardo went to the doctor, who refused to give him medicine without payment. Ricardo paid everything he had, and even gave the man Isabella's cross. He said it was worthless, and refused to give it to Ricardo. A fight ensues, and Richard accidentaly kills the man. He takes the medicine and runs, but is too late. Isabella is dead, and Ricardo is arrested for murder.

A few days later, a priest comes for Ricardo's confession. Though Ricardo speaks Spanish, his Bible is in English. This is because Ricardo and Islabella were planning to go to the New World to start a new life. The preist does not accept Ricardo's confession and states the murder is unforgivable. And he is to be killed the next day. He is going to hell.

Ricardo is saved, however. He is bought by Mangus Hanso as a slave, and boards the Black Rock. He and others are chained to the wall, and during a huge storm, someone looks through a whole in the side of the ship. They see land, and also the Taweret statue, who they think is the devil. Just then, a huge wave carries the ship up over the statue, and the ship lands in the middle of the jungle.

One of the ships officers begins to kill the surving slaves, but the Smoke Monster appears and kills everyone, except Ricardo. My guess is that it scans Ricardo's memory, and sees that it can manipulate him into killing Jacob. Sometime later, Isabella appears to Richard, and tells him they are in Hell. The Monster appears again, and appears to attack Ricardo's wife. My theory is that Man in Black pretended to be Isabella and attacked itself (so to speak) to scare Richard.

Later, the Man in Black appears to Ricardo and lets him out of his chains. After relaesing him, MiB replies "It's good to see you out of those chains". He then confirms that Ricardo is in "Hell" and the only way to get out is to kill "The Devil"- Jacob.

Richard walks to the statue, now destroyed, save for the foot. Jacob overpowers Richard, and takes the dagger from him. Ricardo explains to Jacob what MiB told him. Jacob tells him that he is not the devil, and they are not in hell. After using force to convince Ricardo, Jacob tells the former slave about his feud with MiB. He also tells Ricardo why MiB is trapped on the Island using a wine bottle as a visual. He then makes a deal with Ricardo. If Ricardo works on behalf of Jacob, he will be granted whatever he wants. After Jacob refuses to ressurect his wife or absolve him of his sins, Ricardo wishes for eternal life, and with that, Jacob touches him and grants it.

Ricardo then approaches MiB and gives him something from Jacob: a white stone. The same stone on the scale that was thrown by MiB into the sea. MiB then gives Ricardo the necklace, which he buries, and disappears. Before he does, MiB explains that if he ever wants to change sides, he can.

Back in Island time, Richard goes to the place he burried the necklace. He shouts to the heavens that he will take MiB's offer to join him. Just then, Hurley appears. He has been talking to Isabella, and Richard communicates through Hurley to Isabella. Richard tells her how much he misses her, and Isabella replies "We're already together". She kisses him, then disappears. Richard then puts the cross on, and Hurley says one more thing. If Richard can't stop MiB from leaving the Island, then they all go to hell. From some distance away, Flocke menacingly hears the conversation.

The final scene is a flashback. Jacob goes to visit the Man in Black. MiB asks to leave the Island, but Jacob refuses him. MiB replies that he will kill Jacob, and that he will kill his replacment to. Jacob then gives MiB the wine bottle used to describe MiB's perdicament. Jacob says he'll see him around as he leaves, and MiB replies "Sooner than you think". The episode ends as MiB raises the wine bottle, then breaks it.

Lost: "Recon"

With a week until the big Season 6 episode, I really wasn't expecting much from "Recon". Since Season 5, Sawyer has made it on to my list of characters I don't like. He's not the hero he was throughout Season 4. So I wasn't looking forward to Recon all that much. And what Sawyer did in Recon has made it so that I hate him even more.

As always, let's look into our flashsideways timeline first. Upon first look, it appeared that Sawyer was a conman who, after siducing a woman, was going to do his infamous briefcase con. The woman he is with knows he's a con. But, it is revealed that the woman was conned because Sawyer is, in fact, a cop. And his partner is Miles. It should also be noted that Sawyer does not go by the name Sawyer, but James Ford.

They work together, and Miles sets Sawyer up on a blind date with someone who works with HIS DAD (!!!) at the museum. So, Pierre Chang left the Island, and is still alive. Slowly, the pieces are coming together.

Anyway, the date turns out to be Charlotte, and after some flirting, the two have sex. Afterwards, Charlotte wants to borrow a T-shirt, and tries to find one in Saywer's draw. Instead, she finds a folder with the name "Sawyer" on it, with newspaper clippings, info, and a picture of Sawyer's family. Sawyer is outraged, and sends her home.

The next day, Miles approaches Sawyer, who was talking with Liam Pace (Charlie's Brother) about his brother's release. Miles wants info, but Sawyer doesn't give him any. They're no longer partners then, Miles decides. Later that evening, after watching Little House on the Prarie, he goes to apologize to Charlotte, who won't have him.

The next day, Sawyer explains everything to Miles, and the audience. In the flashsideways, his parents were still killed due to Mr. Sawyer, aka Anthony Coooper. He did not mention the note he wrote, so it is unclear if he still wrote it or not. Sawyer still went to Australia to kill Cooper, and when he finds him he will still kill him. Earlier, Sawyer told Charlotte that he had to decide between being a cop and being a criminal. And though he went down the path of law, he is still the same broken man he always was. Oh, and the flashsideways end with Kate running from the cops, AGAIN!

On the Island, Flocke's posse return to Jin and Sawyer by Claire's hut. As they make their hike, Cindy wants to know what happened to the Temple Dwellers who were left behind. Flocke informs everyone "the black smoke killed them". As the kids begin to cry, Flocke comforts them. So, he's conning kids now. Wonderful man, he is.

When they get to a place to make camp, Sawyer angrily wants to know when they are going to leave. Flocke pulls him aside, and is angry at him for interrupting. They talk, and Flocke reveals to Sawyer that he is the "black smoke thing". He explains that on the Island, it is either "kill or be killed", and that he does not want to be killed. He then gives Sawyer a task of conning those Ajira people left on the Hydra Island. After conning them, they can take the Ajira plane, and never come back.

Once on the Hydra Island, Sawyer passes the infamous polar bear cages, and becomes emotional. Later, he finds the plane, and a pile of dead bodies. These were the Ajira passengers. He then hears someone running, and chases her until he finds her. Her name is Zoe, and claims to be the only Ajira survivor left. All the rest were killed, and she was going to bury them. Zoe asks Sawyer a dozen different questions, and becoming suspicious, pulls his gun on her. Just then, several armed gaurds appear, and Sawyer is taken to their leader- Mr. Charles Widmore.

Back on the Island, Claire tackles Kate while Sayid watches and does nothing. She pulls a knife on Kate, and threatens to kill her over the Aaron issuse. Flocke then comes over, and to my shock and disgust, slaps Claire across the face, and tells her she is being "inappropriate". He then appologizes to Kate, and explains Claire's situation to her. Claire was a wreck without Aaron, and so he gave her something to hate while she was gone. He relates Claire's situation to his own life. The Man in Black's mother was, according to him, crazy, and caused "growning pains" he is still working out. Could this have to do with Jacob and Man in Black? Could they be brothers? Stuff to ponder...

Sawyer is taken to Widmore's sub. To get to him, Sawyer is taken passed a mysteriously locked door. Once they get to Widmore, the goons leave Sawyer and Widmore alone and the two chat. Sawyer promises to take Flocke to Widmore, in exchange for passage off the Island for him and his friends. And Widmore agrees. Sawyer then goes back to the Main Island, where he tells Flocke everything. Flocke cocks a smile, and thanks him for being loyal.

That night, everyone returns to camp. A terful Claire runs to Kate, embraces her, and tells her how sorry she is, and thanks her for taking Aaron. Later, Kate and Sawyer talk, and Sawyer reveals his true plan. While he leaves Flocke and Widmore to fight, he is going to commandeer the sub, and everyone on the Island will escape.

No, this isn't a Lost theory...

For the past two weeks, I have been very sick. So I had to take a small break from posting. I apologize for the inconvience.

So, here's what I have coming up:

Lost: "Dr. Linus"

*Editor's Note: I took some time to celebrate my birthday this week (it was Wednesday!), but I'm back. I keep saying my birthday celebration kicked off with "Dr. Linus" and will end with the episode in two weeks. (Trust me, it's a great one!). Alas, I'm just going to skip this month's DL update. Sorry!

For a long time, I dispised Benjamin Linus. The Season 4 episode "The Shape of Things to Come" made me sympathize with him as he watched his daughter be killed. Finally, the Season 4 Finale made me feel deeply sorry for him. I thought stepping aside to let Locke be the leader of The Others was his redemption. Alas, when he murdered Locke is Season 5, I hated him again. But I think the redpmption of Benjamin Linus, a man who for so long was evil and corrupt with power, began his road to redemption when he gave Locke's eulogy. His redemption is continuing, and was at the forefront in both the flashsideways and On-Island timeline.

In the flashsideways, Ben is a pretty sad person. He lives with his ailing father, and ironically, "gasses" him to keep him alive. They seem to have a loving relationship, which is very different from the on-Island storyline. But Ben is unhappy. Roger comments that he wonder what Ben's life would have been like if they stayed on the Island and had not left the Dharma Initiative. So, this opens up am entirely different bag of possibilites. Why did they leave? Why is the Island underwater? So many questions, as per usual!

At the beginning of the episode, Ben talks of Elba, where Napoleon had to live without his power. I'm theorizing that this refers to the Man in Black, who is forced to live on the Island without his dark powers. If he were to leave the Island, to borrow a line from Doc Brown, "the consequences could be disastorous!!".

Ben teaches at Arzt's school- didn't see that one coming! Ben and Arzt are fed up with Principal Reynolds who runs the school. Reynolds does not buy important essentials to acedemic success, and does not respect the teachers there. Locke convinces Ben to change the school and even throws his support behind him.

Alex Roussaeu (!) comes to Ben asking for help studying for her AP Exam. She really needs a letter of recommendation to Harvard, which Reynolds "the pervert" is writing for her. Upon further inquiry, Ben learns that while Alex was in the nurse's office, she herd Reynolds and the nurse having sex in the room next to her. Ben sees this as his chance to get Reynold's job, and teams up with Arzt to get blackmail him.

When Ben approaches Reynolds and threatens him, Reynolds threatens to not write a letter for Alex. Ben must now choose what to do. And unlike on the Island, Ben made a huge sacrifice for his "daughter". Going even further, Ben offers Arzt his parking spot for helping him.

On Island, things don't look good for Ben. Ilana found out that he killed Jacob, and is outraged, for Jacob "was the closest thing [she] ever had to a father". Once back at the beach, Frank, Miles, and Sun begin restoring their camp. But Ilana goes in search of restraints. She chains Ben, and forces him to dig his own grave as Ilana guards him.

Jack and Hurley begin walking back from the Lighthouse when they encounter Richard Alpert. Jack wants to go back to the Temple, and Richard says he'll bring them. But instead, they head to ther Black Rock, where Richard tells them he hasn't been back there in a long time. So I'm guessing Richard is not from Anicent Egypt, and did indeed come on the Black Rock. Richard tells the duo that he went to the Temple, and everyone there was killed in an attack. Hurley admits Jacob "hinted" at this, but Richard angrily replies to not believe him.

Inside the Black Rock, Richard searched for dynamite and explains to Jack that he was touched by Jacob and given a gift, which is actually a curse. Therefore, he does not age. All the work he has done for Jacob now seems pointless and a total waste of time. Richard explains he cannot kill himself, but Jack can, and he wants Jack to. Jack lights the stick of dynamite, but Jack tells him that neither one of them is supposed to die. Jack realizes that if Jacob was watching him, then there must be a good reason why he (and Richard) were brought to the Island. The dynamite does not go off.

Back in the cemetary, Miles vistits Ben and tells him Jacob hopes he was wrong about him before he was murdered. And guess what? Jacob did care that he was going to be killed. Later, Flocke appears to Ben and encourages to come with him and his followers to the Hydra Island. Once he leaves, Ben will be in charge, and his power will be restored. He points to a gun, and says he should kill Ilana, because Ilana won't hesistate to kill him.

Ben grabs the gun and runs, with Ilana is hot pursuit. Ilana is force to drop her gun, and Ben explains his actions. He explains how much he had sacrificed for Jacob, but the deity didn't even care. When he killed Jacob, he was worried about losing his power, but is now very sorry he killed Jacob. He doesn't expect forgiveness from Ilana, because Ben can't even forgive himself. He plans to go with Flocke, because he's the only one that will have him. To this, Ilana replies, "I'll have you". IMO, this was one of the most powerful lines of the season.

Ben and Ilana go back to the beach, and Ben offers Sun assistance with her tent. Just then, Jack, Hurley, and Richard come back to the beach camp, and everyone reunites in a beautiful montage. There is a definate difference between Team Jacob and Team MiB. Once again, we are given a light scene for Jacob, as opposed to a dark scene for MiB.

And who's watching this reunion? Charles Widmore, via a submarine coming to the Island.

Fringe Renewed for a Third Season

Yep, it's true!

I was a little afraid that Fringe may not be picked up again. Viewership decreased this season, and really hasn't gotten better. But, Fox has picked it up for a third season. Thank God!

Lost: "Sundown"

Now, who here thought this was a Jin/Sun episode? The episode title made it seem that way. And for those who have been tracking the similarities between Season 1 and 6, the sixth episode of Season 1 was "House of the Rising Sun", a Jin and Sun centric. But, we were tricked. For this episode was not a Jin/Sun centric. It was a Sayid centric. With a cameo by Jin.

If any of you watch ABC's sneak peeks, you were probably happy to see Sayid getting out of a taxi with flowers and walking to Nadia's house, where they embraced. However, the clip was misleading. Soon after, Sayid's brother is revealed to come out of the kitchen, and is married to Nadia. They both have two cute children, as well. It would later be explained that Sayid pushed them together because he couldn't be with Nadia after what he had done.

Sayid travels alot because his boring job, which I really can't remember off the top of my head. But, his brother Omer approaches him. Apparently, the man got into some trouble with a guy he borrowed money from, and needs Syaid to send him a message. Sayid refuses, saying he's not the kind of man anymore. Throughout the show, Sayid has been struggling with this, and in Sundown, it comes to a shocking conclusion. But more into that later...

The next morning, after sending the kids off to school, Nadia rushes to Sayid to tell him that her husband was attacked by the men who gave him money. Omer is rushed to the hospital, and the gang briefly passes Jack. Sayid is furious, but Nadia convinces him not to seek revenge. Later that night, Nadia informs Sayid Omer is recuperating, and the two talk about their relationship. Sayid insists that he doesn't deserve Nadia.

The next day, Sayid is taken by Omer's beaters and is taken to a kitchen where Martin Keamy (what a shock!!) and his goons from the freighter are revealed to be bad guys. Keamy explains the situation, but Sayid doesn't buy it. A bullet fight ensues, and Sayid manages to kill the goons, and is about to kill Keamy, when the evil man begs for his life. He says he will forgive the debt, but Sayid said he can't forgive him and shoots him. I was glad to see Keamy's death for a second time, and this time was better because no one else's life was at stake.

Well, we'll have to see about that one. Because as Sayid was leaving, he heard a man trapped in the freezer. And this man was... Jin!!

On the Island, we were treated to a terrifc fight between Sayid and Dogen. Sayid is furious about the tests he underwent, but Dogen argues that his scale, which is supposed to balance good and evil, is balancing the wrong way. I assume this to be the evil side, since Sayid was somehow claimed. Dogen was the only person to ever beat Sayid in a battle, as far as I can remember. And just as Dogen was about to kill Sayid, that mysterious baseball dropped, and Dogen merely told Sayid he was banished.

As Sayid is preparing to leave, Miles confirms to him and the audience that Sayid was indeed dead for over 2 hours, leaving us to contemplate what brought him back. Just then, Claire enters the Temple. Flocke sent her in to send a message to the Temple Dwellers in exchange for getting Aaron back.

Claire notifes Dogen that Flocke wants to see him, but she is taken. Dogen instructs Sayid that he changed his mind on banishment. He offers Sayid a redeption plan- to kill the Man in Black, who is "evil incarnate" and is posing as a dead man (Locke). He must be stabbed before any words come out of his mouth.

But the plan doesn't work. Flocke appears and says "Hello, Sayid" at which point Sayid stabs Flocke. Nothing happens. Flocke talks to Sayid, and is once again manipulating someone to join his team. His offer- to give him anything he wants. Sayid wants Nadia, who is dead. But Flocke makes it appear that he can, indeed have her.

Sayid reports back to the Temple and relays a message to the Others from Flocke: Jacob is dead, so now you can leave, or stay and die. They must decide by sundown. (I guess that's where the title comes from!).

Kate also comes back to the Temple and finds Claire singing "Catch a Falling Star". Kate tells Claire about what really happened to Aaron. She also warns Kate that "He is coming, and you can't stop him!".

As a large group of Others prepare to leave (including Cindy and the kids), Sayid goes to the Temple, where Dogen sheds some light on his backstory. He was once a businessman, and after a promotion, went partying and drinking. Dogen had to much, and then proceded to pick his son up from a baseball game. Big mistake. They got into a terrible accident. Dogen was ok, but his son was in terrible condition. Was he dead, or just seriously injured? We are left to wonder that as Jacob approaches him with a proposition. He can save his son, as long as Dogen goes to The Island and will never be able to see him again.

After the story, Dogen asks if the Man in Black made a similar propisition. He also notices it is sundown, and Sayid must now choose. Sayid says he would "like to stay", but plunges Dogen in the pool and drowns him. Lennon runs in, screaming at Sayid that Dogen was the only thing keeping "him" out. Just then, the Smoke Monster floods the Temple as Sayid kills Lennon. Looks like Sayid has finally descended into evil.

Havoc breaks loose in the Temple, and the Smoke Monster kills many people. Kate goes to rescue Claire, but she insists "he" will not harm them as Kate jumps into the whole. Above, they see the Monster pass over them, carrying many bodies in it.

Miles runs into a back room, and meets Ilana, Frank, Sun, and Ben, who just got to thr Temple and are trying to find a way out. Ilana is looking for Hurley, Jack, and Saywer, but they aren't there. While the reunion was pretty cool, there is no time to discuss things because they have to move quickly. Ben tries to bring Sayid with them, and in their first encounter since shooting him in '77, Sayid tells a visibly frightened Ben he cannot escape.

Ben, Frank, Ilana, Miles, and Sun escape the devistation in the Temple through a secret passage. In the final scene, Claire, Kate, and Sayid are seen walking out of the Temple while The Man in Black (as Flocke) is scene leading a large group out of the Temple after giving an odd look to Kate. And folks, it appears the teams have been made. Part 1 of the Final Season is finished, and Part 2 looms in our midst.

We all knew it was going to win...

Up was a fantastic movie. Not only was it nominated for Best Animated film, but was also nominated for Best Film. Now that's an achievement!

Up also took home the award for Best Score. While Michael Giaccino is no doubt a brilliant composer (and one of my favorites!) I felt that Hans Zimmer should have won for Sherlock Holmes. That score was so impressive, I downloaded the entire score after the movie.

So congrats to everyone at Pixar and Disney for making this great movie! Hopefully, the Academy will be more freindly to animated films in the future. As long as the story is good, right?

Plus, Up was much better than Avatar...

Lost: "Lighthouse"

*Editor's Note: My laptop is back! I should be posting now without any further delay. The two missed Lost columns will be up ASAP, and the Disneyland News will be up on Tuesday. Thank you for your patience!

When I first heard that this episode was going to be titled "Lighthouse", I wasn't sure if a Lighthouse would be on the Island. But, there is! And what I find very cool is that it's not an ordinary lighthouse. And no, I'm not just talking about the fact that it can focus on places the characters have been. It's an Ancient Egyptian lighthouse. The history geek inside me found that cool.

I know there have been complaints about the flashsideways. I honestly have no idea and/or theory as to where they might lead, but it appears to me the flashsideways are similar to flashbacks. The flashsideways have something to do with the on-Island story. My theory that they show the destiny of the characters was dashed last week, and once again, were dashed this week in a huge way. In the flashsideways world, Jack has a son.

Jack and his son, David, are not communicating well. This is very similar to Jack and Christian's relationship. When Jack's mom calls him over to look for Christian's will, she explains to him how upset David was at the funeral. But Jack didn't even notice.

When David goes missing, Jack is worried. He then goes to his mother's house (Jack and the unnamed mother are divorced) and finds out that David is at a piano recital via the answering machine. Jack goes to it, but not before hearing the message he left for David while he was in Sydney and getting emotional.

When Jack arrives, David is playing "Fantaisie Impromptu" (which was the song Daniel Faraday was playing) and a boy tells him his son is very good. A man, revealed to be Dogen, also comments on David's gift. Afterwards, Jack talks to Daniel and the kid reveals to his dad that he didn't want to tell him about the recital because he didn't want his father to see him fail. Sensing that David feels the same way about him that he did about his own father, Jack tells David he will never fail in his eyes, and it appears that their relationship is saved.

Back on the Island, we have a reappearance of Jacob. He is near the Temple's pool, and asks Hurely to go on a mission with Jack. The two of them leave the Temple through a secret exit after a brief, yet funny encounter with Dogen. Apparently, because Hurley is a Candidate, he can do whatever he wants. Pretty cool to have that power, no?

On their way to the lighthouse, they encounter Kate, who goes to look for Claire. They also end up passing through the caves, and for the first time since "House of the Rising Sun", we see Adam and Eve. Hurely even proposes a fan theory: "What if we time travel back to dinosaur times, and these skeletons are us?". I thought that was a cool shoutout, but since Hurely aknowledged this, I'm sure this is not the case. We'll find out who it this season, though. (FYI, I don't read spoilers, so I don't know who it is, but Darlton have stated this mystery will be answered. That's probably why they revisited this place). Another mystery solved: Shannon's inhailer was in the caves the whole time. She probably lost it!

When they finally reach the lighthouse, Jacob is not there, like Hurley said. What is there is the mechanism that makes the lighthouse work, which is made up of large mirrors to reflect the light. Hurley proceedes to turn the mechanism to 108 degrees, because someone is coming to the Island. (My guess, it's Desmond.) As the mechanism is turning, something strange happens. Images start appearing in the mirror. First, we see the temple Jin and Sun were married at. Next, we see the church where Sawyer's parents had their funeral. And finally, we see Jack's childhood house. Jack becomes incredibly angry at the fact Jacob was watching him, and destroys the mirrors.

Afterwards, Jacob appears to Hurley, and seems to not care about the broken mirrors. He says "They'll find another way to come to the Island". He also stresses how important Jack is, and while he can influence some people, others have to figure things out on their own. Plus, something bad is coming to the Temple, so they can;t go back. Could it be the Man in Black?

Speaking of the Man in Black, apparently, he is Claire's friend, and has been telling her that The Others took Aaron, along with her father. Could this imply that I'm right, and Christian and MiB are not the same person? Anyway, Claire is now crazy, similar to Danielle, and even keeps a creepy looking doll in her possesion to fil the gap that Aaron left. Claire helps Jin, and Jin tells Claire Kate took Aaron. He later recants this after she kills one of the Others. To which she replies "Good, because if Kate did, I would have had to kill her". Claire officially scares me.

Lost: "The Substitute"

*Here's an article that should have been posted almost 2 weeks ago. Sorry it wasn't up sooner. Anyway, here it is! "Lighthouse" and tonight's episode "Sundown".

If you recall, in Season 5, Eloise Hawking referred to John Locke as being "a substitute" for Christian Shepherd on Ajira Flight 316. Could this be a foreshadow? Christian was not found in his casket, and could be alive on the Island. We do know he is in some form, whether you believe he is working for The Man in Black, Jacob, or someone else. Personally, I believe Jacob is his own entity, working for himself.

Since it was a Locke episode, I was excited. If you didn't know, John Locke is my favorite character on Lost. But I was sad to see that in the flashsideways, Locke is still crippled in a wheelchair. He is unhappy about his situation, and was denied a Walkabout in the flashsideways world as well. And because of this, he was fired from his job. This further upsets him. But we soon find out that he and Helen are still together, and it appears his dad is actually a good person. Now that's strange!

If you recall, in "What Kate Does", I hypothesized that the flashsideways reveal that the destinies of the characters are the same off-Island as they were on-Island. Well, that theory was blown apart!

In the flashsideways, Locke is given some great advice from the terminally ill Rose, who still has cancer. He begins to accept his condition, and gets a job as a substitute teacher (get it?!). And that's when we get the WTF moment... he's teaching alongside Ben.

If the Incident caused the new timeline, then shouldn't he be dead because he was in The Temple when it occured? Apparently, this is the result of something different. And the whole flashsideways are confusing the helll out of me. I don't hate them, but I'd like to understand them more...

Speaking of The Temple, we didn't have any scenes there this week. The show mostly focused on Locke and Sawyer. The Man in Black appeared to Sawyer (now stuck in Locke's form, I might add), who wasn't fased that someone took Locke's form. A drunken Sawyer went with him, against protests from Richard. As Ilana would explain, The Man in Black is now "recruiting".

He took Sawyer through the jungle. There, both of them saw a child who scolded Flocke. "You cant kill him" the child said. To which Flocke replied Locke's infamous "Don't tell me what I can't do!". I think the child is Aaron, and is referring to Jacob. There's not much evidence to back this up, but it is just a gut feeling.

Flocke and Sawyer descended down a ladder to a mysterious cave, presumably belonging to Jacob. In the cave, there was a balance with two stones on it. Flocke went and through the white stone into the water. I'm taking this as symbolism, which many people aren't. I think this helps prove that Jacob is the good person, and the Man in Black is the bad guy. I keep being drawn to Locke's statement about "Two players, two sides. One is light. One is dark."

And that's where he see the Cave's wall. Numerous names have been written on the wall. Many are crossed out, but Jack's name, Hurley's name, Locke's name, Kwon (Jin, Sun, or someone else?), Sawyer's name, and Sayid's name are not crossed off, and each person has a corresponding number. 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 43 are next to each person's name.

Flocke explains all these people are Candidates to take over Jacob's position as protector of the Island. But Flocke convinces- or manipulates- Sawyer into leaving the Island with him.

For the sad news: John Locke was burried. His body was placed amongst his friends and fellow Oceanic passengers. It was a small, sad, and odd funeral. Ben gave a few sad and sicnere words at the burrial. I'd like to end with them here.

"John Locke was... a believer. He was a man of faith. He was a much batter man than I'll ever be. And I'm very sorry I murdered him."

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 8

Are you excited? No, not for the show, no matter how gripping it has been. For the new opening credits!

After 6 long years featuring dead characters (Justice and Alan, to name a few) characters who have left (Ric and Skye, to name a few) and not featuring the new characters (Dante, Ethan, Olivia, Kate, the kids, amongst others). Butthat's about to chage, come February 23, to coincide with the show's 12,000th episode. I can't wait!

But, you should also be excited for the show. It's been exceptional lately. Little of it is boring, and everything that goes on proves to be useful. So let's recap, shall we?

Dante is lying about his shooting so Sonny does not go to jail for that, but rather the case he has worked so hard to build up around Claudia's murder. This causes him to loose his NYPD job, but Mac offers him a job at the PCPD. Dante still resents Sonny and wants no part of him. Although, he did have to listen to Sonny's story about his sad childhood. And that's enough to make anyone feel bad for the mobster.

Yet, there are many people out there who have been through terrible childhoods, being abused and beaten, but they made a positive life. And that's respectable. Sonny, on the other hand, choose to go down the wrong path, and must pay for that sooner or later. He should just be happy he'll be alive in prison.

Sonny found out about Johnny, and Jason was ordered to fire him for not being loyal. Johnny, as you can imagine, is really pissed off at Sonny for treating his sister terribly, and though he knows who really killed her, still blames Sonny for her death. So, Johhny wants more revenge on Sonny, and is even going to take back the Zaccarah Organization from an overjoyed Anthony to get it. And with the revenge will come a war, mark my words. But who will be set up as the villian? Prbably the cops, but I digress...

So, how long until Elizabeth goes through a breakdown? Maybe a few weeks, I think. She keeps hearing voices in her head mocking her, and keeps snapping at people. And Lucky found her in a church, unconcious. This can't end well.

Nikolas, who seems to be going through little backlash from the affair (except for Luke, who is finished with him), was paid a visit by Helena. Once again, she's back to wreck havoc, and I love it. Unlike Sonny, she is made to be a true villian, not a hero. That's what I like about her. She is clearly evil, but someone will always be there to beat her.

Anyway, Helana seems to be enjoying the trails Nikolas is going through, and sees him as aknowledging his "inner Cassadine". She also wants him to find a woman who produces a suitable Cassadine heir. It can't be Spencer, because his mother Courtney was "unworthy". So, since Elizabeth will find out she is pregnant soon, does this forshadow Nikolas being the father? But the thing is, Nikolas seems to be intrigued by this. So, maybe his inner Cassadine is coming out.

Lucky is also acting like Luke more and more everyday. He's going on an art scam with his dad, for crying out loud. Will he leave his children? What about of Elizabeth goes through a breakdown? I guess we'll see.

Finally, let's end with Michael. I think he may actually understand where Jax was coming from when he told his view of the story. Unfortunately, Carly did not. She still loves Jax, but is furious with him for lying to her. And based on what we saw on Friday, Jax thinks they're back together again. Please, not another Sonny and Carly reunion...

Back to Michael, the kid doesn't want Sonny to suffer for what he did, and he actually confessed to Claudia's murder, but no one believes him. Mac was trying to be nice, and didn't arrest him for purgery. But no one believes Michael.

Also, I must comment on Sam with Josslyn. I still feel sorry for her baby that died, and, despite everything, I think she would be a good mother. She's good with her sisters, and has done a lot of growing up since we first met her. If it weren't for all these baby stories, I'd love for her uterus problem to be fixed, and for her to have a kid.

Happy Birthday, DCA!

DCA celebrated (not) it's 9th Birthday on February 8. And boy, has it come along way.

I used to be quite the DCA basher back in the day, and used to complain about the stupid puns, Sunshine Plaza, the lack of Disney quality rides (or anything else, for that matter), and the unthemed, unimiginative lands. But, I've actually grown tired of doing this. There are hundreds of others who do it for me. Why should I?

I'm one of those people who are now hopeful for DCA. The little additions throughout the years, specifically the closure of Superstar Limo, and the addition of Tower of Terror, have headed DCA in the right direction. And from what I have seen from the construction taking place around the park right now, it will be a beautiful, differen place then it was 9 years ago.

There's themeing. There's great rides. There's lush vegitation. And best of all, theyre using the California theme to use it's true potential. I've always loved the CA aspect, but felt it was executed poorly. But now, they're really exploring such a wide theme.

So, I am Happy to wish DCA a very Happy Birthday, with all the hope for the future, and all the excitement for what's to come!

Garden Walk for Sale!

Huge news in Anaheim: Garden Walk is for sale!

As reported by the OC Register, Garden Walk goes up for sale on March 9. Many Disney fans have been following the saga of the troubled shoppertainment complex since before it was built.

It's price is $194.2 million. Now, many businesses would be crazy to buy this. The place failed once, who has the major bucks to buy AND redo the place? I can only see Disney jumping on this.

Garden Walk is right across the street from proposed Gate Three. It would be a nice transistion, and with bridges built across Harbor Blvd, monorial extensions, and PeopleMover systems, could easily be assecible to Disney guests. It could be a very successful "Downtown Disney Eastside".

Lost: "What Kate Does"

If any of you have been around the Internet recently, then you know what has been going on. There are full-out wars on opinions of the episode. Some say it is good, other say it is bad. But before we divulge into that, let's take a look at what could possibly be the last Kate-centric episode. Deal?

Sayid is back from the dead, and the Temple Others seem surprised. They do various tests on him to see if he has been "claimed". By what? Well, as Dogen explains to Jack, there is "darkness" building up inside of him. Dogen even tried to kill Sayid with a poison pill. Funny, though... Dogen explains the same thing happened to his siser, Claire!

But where has she been? Remember, Kate's reason for coming back to The Island was to reunite Claire with Aaron. So, as Sawyer leaves the Temple, Kate sees this an oppurtunity to kill two birds with one stone: bring Sawyer back and find Claire. Jin goes with her, for a different reason: to find Sun. 2 Temple Others go with them, but, in common Other fashion, one of them refuses to answer any questions that Kate and Jin ask.

Kate and Jin are able to get away from them for a while, and Kate find Sawyer in the Barracks. There, Sawyer is distruaght over Juliet's death, and blames himself. He also reveals that he was going to purpose to her. As of now, it looks like Sawyer is on his own.

Jin, however stubles upon Claire. In the last minute of the show, she appears to be like Roussaeu, living by herself, making traps, and quite possibly, sick. I really can't wait to see what happens next week!

And now for the flashsideways. Last night, Kate hijacked a pregnant Claire in a cab, but let her go. When Kate finally got out of her handcuffs, she saw a pregnant woman's items in Claire's suitcase that was left behind (specifically, a stuffed whale!) and felt guilty. When she returned, she brought Claire to the couple's house that was going to adopt the baby.

But it is revealed that the couple split, and can't take care of the child. At that point Claire goes into early labor, and Kate rushes her to the hospital. And who is her doctor? Ethan Goodspeed! Apparently, the hydrogen bomb went off and in this timeline sunk the Island. So, all the Others and Dharma people that were on the Island should be dead. That would explain why Ethan is no longer on the Island, after Horace made Amy take him off the Island.

Claire wants to name the baby Aaron, and Kate persuades her to keep the baby. Though the pregnancy is normal and the baby is safe, Claire does not give birth to Aaron. It appears as though Kate and Claire will become friends.

So, I think I have the flashforwards figured out. Seeing Claire, Kate, and Ethan all meeting up makes me think that the puropse of the flashsideways are to show that the Losties destinies are the same. And that, Destiny is ultimately more powerful then Free Will.

Now, true, not much happened in the episode. But I'm not sure why exactly there is so much screaming of "filler epsiode". I liked the episode, but I can see why some didn't. But attacking other people for their opinions is not cool. The extermists on both sides ("OMG, great episode, everyone who doesn't think so should stop watching Lost", "OMG, worst episode ever, anyone who enjoyed that is stupid") are babies. Grow up! At least we have a Locke episode next week that will end the bickering!

Disneyland Resort Info and News

As the Disneyland Resort enters February, a lot is brewing. Construction is in full swing, and the DLR is becoming the Land of Walls. Walls are everywhere, but it's the price that must be paid for progress. As for rumors, there haven't been many, but we have seen a vast improvement in the Silly Symphony Swings that appeared relatively quickly in Paradise Pier. There have also been some pretty awesome videos of the World of Color testing, which I am happy to share with you. Are you ready? Let's go!

Disneyland
Rivers Of America- Closed until May 6 for a refurbishment. Due to it's closure, Fantasmic! will not show during this time. The Mark Twain, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crocket Explorer Canoes, and Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island will also be closed.
Tommorowland Terrace- Closed until May 4 for an extended refurbishment.
DCA
Orange Stinger- Planned to open on April 28 as the new Silly Symphony Swings. Recently more visual progress on the ride has been seen.
SS rustworthy: Starting to be demolished in order for construction for the Garden Grill/Beer Garden to begin. Expect this construction to really start once Sily Symphony Swings is complete and the World of Color viewing area is open. Pizza Oom Mow Mow will also close some time later.
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.- Closed until Feb 19 for a short refurb.

Comings, Goings, and Tidbits from Around the Resort
As we head to the middle of Feb, it is still unclear exactly when Captain EO will return. Painting and a theater revamp are still in progress, but there is little info avaliable. As we get closer to the end of Feb, I suspect we will have an opening date, and I'll post the info here. Until then, here are some pics. As you can see, not much has visibly changed, at least on the outside.

Here are some pics of the World of Color Viewing Area. The railing work should be done within the next week or so and horiculture can come in and do their magic. I'm sure many of you agree that DCA was missing a lot of greenery and landscaping when it opened, and was more or less a concrete slab. Things like the work in the viewing area will help that problem. The first tier of the viewing area has also begun to recieve it's boarwalk treatment.

Well, that pretty much wraps this month up. It's sometimes frustrating to not see much visual progress, but I guess you can blame the unions for that. Just kidding! Anyway, I'll be back next month for another column. Also come back on Friday for a special DCA Birthday post!

GH Weekly Roundup: Week of February 1

*Editor's Note: Regularly scheduled blog posts return today! Also, a big shoutout to Disney's California Adventure turning 9 today! I'll have a commemorative post for you later in the week. Also be on the lookout for a new special Disney psot coming to you on Saturdays starting next week!

Sweeps have started once again, and, once again, GH is on fire. While I am no fan of the mob's central focus, this drama is gripping and I am enjoying every minute of it. I find myself anxious and nervous for the characters, cheering an jeering for the characters, and excited for the next episode. Everyone on GH is doing a terrific job!

Of course, the central point of the show right now is the mess Sonny is in. He shot his son, the undercover cop, who he didn't know was his. Once Sonny did find out, he lamented the whole situation. Of course, because it's his son, that makes a HUGE difference from shooting a cop, right? Sonny decided to stay in town after begin arrested and let out on bail. Does he think this will actually make the situtation better. I am praying he will go to jail. I'd love to see this whole thing pan out!

Dante lied about the shooting for some reason, which irked me. Sonny needs to pay for the crimes he commited. Seriously, if there was a person in your town who murdered dozens of people, wouldn't wou want them in jail for anything, even owing taxes?

He blames Olivia for causing this, and he is partly right about that. But, I will say I understand where Olivia is coming from. She wanted to keep Dante out of danger. On the other side, I would want to know who my father was if I was in Dante's shoes.

Jax also wanted to protect his family. That's why he didn't say anything about Dante. And Carly left him. Will this be permanent? I'm not sure, because I love these two together, and I want them to get through this. But I'm curious to see Carly's reaction when she finds out LuLu and (obviously) Olivia knew about this, amongst others. Will she be furious at them as well? Will she take away LuLu's godmothering privelages? Of course, after the fight she goes directly to Jason's penthouse. Surprised?

Speaking of godmothering, the Christianing was great! Seeing all those poeple together was quite fun! It's also a great way to get news to spread arounf Port Charles. Who would have thought that all the kids connected to Sonny would find out about the whole situation at a Christianing?

I predict Michael will be jealous of Dante, though Dante wants nothing to do with Sonny. Dante is now the first born, a very special position in the family. And judging by the way he almost attacked Jax, he is angry at him. Kristina will continue to hate her dad, and be beat up by dumbass Kiefer. And Morgan, he'll have to choose between Sonny and Dante. And seeing as how Dante is really the only person that pays attention to him, I think he'll choose Dante's side. Who know? In 10 years, he may even be a cop.

As for the other storyline... Liz is out of control. She is screaming at people in GH for being unfit mothers and taking her anger out on people. She is being a bitch, but I like how Nikolas is getting off clean. WTF? It takes two to have an affair!

Well, there is so much to look forward to in the coming weeks and months on GH. A large court showdown will occur later this month. Excited? I know I am! See you next week!
