Remembering 9/11: Reflecting on the Events

After the attacks on September 11, all airlines were grounded for days. Airports closed. Many museums and monuments in Washington DC and throughout the country shut down. Hollywood Studios, shopping centers, stores, schools, and jobs shut down for the day as well. So did Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal, and many other theme parks and vacation spots. Events around the country, such as shows, sporting events, and other were cancelled. Places around the world shut down due to safety concerns.

Right around the time this is published, President George W. Bush addressed the nation. He promised justice and safety to the American people.

People around the nation proudly displayed flags and symbols of America. Vigils were held for those who lost their lives around the world. People were eager to send relief to families affected by the attacks and those who were working around the clock to save people in the wreckage.

America would never be the same again. From this point on, we were stronger. We were closer. We knew what it truly ment to be an American.

God Bless all of you. God Bless those who lost their lives in the attacks. God Bless the brave men and women who ran into the burning towers to save lives as they were collapsing. God Bless all those who helped in the recovery. God Bless everyone affected by this tragedy.

And God Bless America.
